Ky-Vin shrugged. "I don't know how many of them were here in the first place. If the creatures were made by the Sith ages ago, there shouldn't be many of them around..."
Ky-Vin walked around, inspecting the cavern. "Then again, if they are indeed coming from Lake Natth..who knows how many could be lurking around," he said, frowning.
Ky-Vin suddenly stopped. He had found a crevasse in the ground against the cavern wall. It was narrow, but it looked like they could fit. Ky-Vin could also thought he could make out the sounds of water coming from it.
"Hey, check this out.." Ky-Vin called to Kenshin.

Kenshin moved over to take a look. The white glow of the lightsaber illuminated the tunnel only a few feet. He strained his ears and heard what seemed to be the sound of water.
"I think there's water on the other side..."
He peered into the fissure trying to see the other side but it was too dark.
"Want to take a look?"

Ky-Vin agreed. "Why not? Besides, there's no way those overgrown reptiles can squeeze in here from this way anyway."
Ky-Vin crouched down and peered into the craggy fissure. It looked to be about a 10 or 12 foot drop. "Shouldn't be a problem," Ky-Vin said, and he hopped down into the hole, his outer robe trailing behind him.
Ky-Vin landed in a crouch. He looked around, and even though it was dark, Ky-Vin could see he had landed in yet another cavern. The sound of water was nearby.
Ky-Vin moved out of the way and called up to Kenshin.
"All clear, come on down!"

Kenshin followed in after Ky-Vin and watched as he lept down.
"Okay, coming."
He shut off the saber and was engulfed in darkness. After attuning himself with his surroundings, he jumped. He turned the saber back on as he got up and a new cavern was now illuminated.

Ky-Vin waited for Kenshin to provide some light. Then he slowly moved outwards to inspect this new cavern.
It was definitely smaller and more cramped. In some places he actually had to duck his head to move around.
Toward the other end of the cavern, Ky-Vin could see an dark opening in the wall.
Nearby, a steady stream of water trickled from several cracks in the cave wall. They poured downwards and formed a little underground stream.
Ky-Vin stepped over to get a better look. The water seemed to be draining through some other fissures and gaps on the other side of the cavern. The little stream was only 3 feet or so wide and hardly a foot deep.
"I wonder if anyone has ever been down here before," Ky-Vin said.

Kenshin shrugged.
"It's possible I suppose."
He examined the walls of the cavern for any markings or unnatural formations.

Ky-Vin looked around and then went to inspect the opening. It looked like another tunnel of sorts.
"I suppose these tunnels could have been created naturally by the water eroding the rock away."
Ky-Vin peered into it and could see again only blackness. This tunnel was much narrower. He could see that they could barely fit single file.
Ky-Vin turned to Kenshin. "I wonder where this one goes," he said with a smile, nodding towards the opening.
He had never thought exploring caves would be this much fun.

Kenshin walked over and examined the crack Ky-Vin had found. It was a tight fit, they would have to go in one at a time.
The padawan stuck his saber arm in first, lighting up a few feet ahead with a low white light. He then stepped in.

Ky-Vin followed Kenshin into the narrow passage. It was rather unpleasant indeed, with numerous rocky bumps and angles to the rock walls. They had to proceed very slowly indeed.
At one point, the tunnel's ceiling shot down suddenly, and the two Jedi were forced to move underneath it, crawling for several meters on their hands and knees.
Ky-Vin was beginning to wonder if they should have come this way. It was looking to be more and more trouble, and they could come to a dead end any moment.
But they didn't. Luckily, the passage grew wider and they could move through it with no trouble at all.
Then they came into a small cavern space. There were two openings in the opposite wall. The right-hand passage seemed to lead downwards. The other lead up and to the left.
Ky-Vin walked back and forth, looking down both passages.
"This is interesting," he said aloud, as he scratched his bearded chin.
"Well, which way?" he asked Kenshin with a thoughtful look.

Kenshin gave the tunnels a thoughtful look. Up could mean air and light. All the logical reasons pointed that way. But curiousity pointed him downward.
"Let's try down. If it get's bad, we can always come back and go up."
