Exploration of Ambria (Kenshin only)

Ky-Vin watched as Kenshin pulled the chunk out of the crawlspace using the Force.
"Well done," he told him. "I guess I'll go first, then."

Ky-Vin walked over and bent down to look through. Definitely open space on the other side, but he couldn't see more than darkness.
He looked at the edges of the hole. They were still kind of hot from the blade of his lightsaber.
The Jedi waited a few minutes, and Ky-Vin saw that the rock had cooled off a bit.
He touched the inside with his hand, and pulled it back. "It's still rather hot, but I think we could tolerate it."

With that, Ky-Vin got down on his stomach and crawled into the tunnel.
There wasn't much space to crawl, but he slowly worked his way through.
After a few moments, he was on the other side. It was very dark, and he ingited his lightsaber to see they were still in a passage of sorts. Up ahead, it turned sharply to the right.

He bent down and called Kenshin. "It's fine, come on through."

"Coming through."

He replied when he heard Ky-Vin give the okay. He then got onto his stomach and crawled through towards the green light of Ky-Vin's lightsaber.

He stood up when he made it through and glanced about, noticing the sharp turn the the pathway of the tunnel. He motioned for the older padawan to lead this time.

OOC: Padawan, Knight, ah...whatever. :P

IC:

Ky-Vin followed the passage onwards, with Kenshin following close behind. It turned a sharp corner and continued onwards.

What was more...the light coming from his blade was causing strange little sparkling lights to appear on the stone walls as they passed.
Ky-Vin ran his hands over the stone and looked closer. There tiny bits of crystal in the wall.
"That's funny..." Ky-Vin said, he began to looks excited.
Before Kenshin could say anything, he grabbed him by the shoulder and pulled him along.
"Come on, this way!" he said.
The passage continued onwards, and moved upwards. It seemed to be brightening up. Some of the crystal formations were larger, colored.
The path turned to the left suddenly, and it opened up to the outside. An exit, with daylight streaming in.
Ky-Vin let go of Kenshin and hurried to it.
It opened up into the side of a canyon. But it was no ordinary canyon.
Ky-Vin could see a small river running through it. Rock formations broke the water's surface. Crystal formations, some larger than a man, dotted the sides of the canyons and jutted up out of the water.
There were many caves going into the sides of the canyon, on their side and the opposite side. Passages, just like theres, leading off into darkness.
Ky-Vin was amazed.

Kenshin was glancing around at the little light reflectors when suddenly Ky-Vin grabbed him and ran foward. Not wanted to be dragged along, he quickly caught the pace.

There was a light at the end of the tunnel and it was nearing to fast. Kenshin squinted to get used to the light and almost bumped into Ky-Vin. When his sight adjusted, he stared in amazement at the canyon of crystals.

"Woah...Shiny..."

OOC: I'll keep him as a padawan for this thread. :lol He can't get suddenly promoted in the middle of no where.

Ky-Vin laughed and patted Kenshin on the shoulder roughly.
"These crystal formations...they're like the ones described in the archives..."

He was already climbing down out of the passage onto the ledge below.

"We have to find out for sure...we have to be absolutely sure this is the Meditative Canyon..." Ky-Vin told Kenshin, but he already sounded like he was sure about it.

Ky-Vin was making his way down and over into the next cave.

Kenshin followed after Ky-Vin. He barely watched where he was going, his thought on the amazing scene of crystals around him.

"How do we make sure?"

Ky-Vin had hopped down into the next cave. Inside, there were crystal formations growing right out of the walls and along the ceiling.

"We should be able to feel it." he called back to Kenshin, who had also made his way into the cave.
"If this really is the Meditative Canyon, the Force will be focused here, but not like at the Lake. No emotion, only peace." Ky-Vin said.

He selected a spot on the ground and sat down. He moved into a meditative position with his legs folded in front of him. Ky-Vin rested his hands on his knees, and kept his back straight.
With a few deep breaths, Ky-Vin opened himself up to the Force, and was immediately calm, emotionless. He felt as if he were drifting away in all directions, as if he were truly one with the Force....it was incredible.

Kenshin nodded and followed suit. He picked a flat spot and sat down. He opened himself to the Force and what he felt was peacefully blank. The area was free of disturbance.

He opened his eyes and waited for Ky-Vin to finish. This would be a thrilling area to explore.

Ky-Vin could have stayed like that forever. He felt completely at peace, as if nothing in the universe could ever make him feel any better.
And yet, he was not completely objective. He still retained his own identity. He was not the Force, he was still Ky-Vin Zurik. But he understood the Force so much easier! But it was not consuming, or tempting, or destructive. Neither was it totally giving, or compassionate, or emotionless. It was both, and the perpetual balance between the two was remarkable. Ky-Vin knew the Force was this way, but never so clearly could he see it.

After a while, Ky-Vin emerged from his meditative trance. He found that Kenshin was waiting for him.
"Did you feel it?" Ky-Vin asked, smiling. But he already knew Kenshin had, and could.
"It's extraordinary!" Ky-Vin said, and he was already punching their location into his datapad, so that the Jedi Order would be able to find it again.

Kenshin grinned at Ky-Vin's excitement.

"Yeah, this is some place. I wonder how it maintains this balance..."
