I want to debate you on this, wrong or right; simply because no one else will. I mean, really. Brown nose and all.

Brilliant Om, Brilliant. *Applauds*
With as much time as I spend on working up R&Ds and thinking about countering R&Ds, I could be doing a lot more writing on my RPs. That doesn't mean I will stop, but it does make me stop and think a moment. But I will say this:
The staff has been warning and warning. I say it's time to put up or shut up.

For everyone involved in the actual IC thread, I have editted my post to comply with Demos' post. I won't be posting again in the thread until Demos' edits his as well.

Can people please stop posting for other peoples ships? That's just so wrong. I'm not trying to be confrontational, but really. Demo, write for your ship, but please try not to put things for other peoples property. That goes for everyone too. I think it is completely unfair to say "I fired on this ship and it took heavy damage that made it pull away from the fight."
Who are you to say that? Maybe it took damage, but not that heavy. Maybe it is really damaged, but the other doesn't want to pull it away. Maybe the other wants it to turn and get under the cover of another ship. You don't know, cuz you aren't that person, so please, for the sake of good rping and just being a good person, let others post for their own things. I've seen this a couple of times and it really bugs the hell out of me. Even you post the damage fairly, it should be the responsiblity of the person owning the ships to post it, not someone else. It's just not fair.
thank you, that's the end of my rant, carry on. :-)

It's give and take, Ben. Rant all you want, but don't expect any resolution unless you solidifiy the problem. As far as I can tell Drayson has not gone too overboard on a comparative sliding scale based on the writings of others involved; if you have a direct problem which you would like to suggest be edited, please provide the appropriate reference material.
Thank you.

Ben, I don't think that's a problem in this respect. Generally, from the RPs I've seen here, what Demo's doing is fine. He's writing from his perspective, which can be edited later if Corise asks. It keeps the story going and eliminates the need for short posts. As long as everyone's being reasonable, and the other player doesn't have a problem with it, what he's doing is fine.
I've seen writers like Telan and Dolash do the same thing - in fact, Dolash posted for my NPCs a few times in "Visionaries." Minor stuff, of course, like them retreating or one attacking, but it was in character and well-done. Since the focus is more on collaborative writing than competition, it could be said that no one really owns anything. If I had had a problem with any of Dolash's stuff, I could have PMed him and he would have edited.
As long as characters aren't killed off, you can post what you see as the logical result of whatever action your ships or characters took. Obviously, Rule #1 applies, but it's not a problem if someone wants to post for another person's ship, as long as the other doesn't have a problem.
