I understand, Ahnk, I was being a bit standoffish so I recognize I was being an ass when I shouldn't have been. So yeah, I'll try not to come across with that attitude again seeing as how it's not exactly a very good one to do so with. I'll try to be more calm with arguing, if issues pop up again.
The BDE - GC War OOC Thread
Gue is getting some real life things together and appologizes for his abscence, a couple more days and everything will be running like clockwork again
Er... just to clarify, Simon brought something up about tunnels? Or will we just go with what Ahnk says? Again, it's not infeasible that he should be able to blast this hole, just that I think he would be destroyed before managing it, or if he did manage it, then destroyed before being able to deploy much of an army into the hole.
So in other words, going from on the ground, deploying troops one way, and getting pounded to taking off (while still under fire) and blasting a hole in the ground is one thing, but then saying your men go down the whole, fight through the very heart of the city and start taking over ambassador's rooms and things is excessive to say the least.
Should it be conclusively determined that you survive long enough to blast the necessary hole, then I ask that you end your post at the point where you begin to deploy troops into the city - from there on there are factors that I control that will play a part. When I boarded your front-running Dreadnought, I did not go from boarding to destruction in a single post, there was a space of a post where you could explain what actions you were taking in your defence or perhaps offer a form of defensive or offensive weapon that would prevent my advance.
If you end your post there, I will be able to reply with any countering measures I might have (Fighters, infantry on the ground, and bombardment might drain whatever forces you manage to get off the Dreadnought and down the hole before it blows), and the thread can continue.
Also, Heir - no hurry, I'm pretty busy as it is anyways, take your time.
Also, Tir - did we ever get an answer on the boarding question?

What Ahnk and I stated are not mutually exclusive.
Consider there being troops that have landed.
Well, what kind of numbers would be able to land in that type of bombardment situation from the overhead weapons? After all, jumping from a drednaught that is currently under planetary bombardment you risk getting hit with the shots that miss and the explosions being caused from the collisions with the drednaught.
Not to mention what happens when the drednaught finally goes bang.

We got a staff opinion.

I believe what I have done in the rest of the post is permissable. They only thing I'll edit is the dreadnaught shields failing perhaps, other than that I entered the hole fairly enough. If you want the blocked army to force its way back in and slaughter everything, do so. I just believe I've had enough time to catch an off guard enemy long enough to do that much. That's why I didn't take the palace in the post. I'm trying to fight for it as well as clear out what Kubaz soldiers might still actually be in the area while my other troops carry out specific tasks.
I might recall your pod post afterwards, sabotaging the cryogenics so quickly and then escaping so fast. If you can do that all in one post I think I can land enough troops inside the hole via ziplines to cause quite a bit of chaos. Also I made a point to clear the drop zone by dropping explosives first so if there were any Kubaz scrambling to counter it, they're just meat paste on the walls now. So I stand by my actions after the hole was made as well. Its completely feesable since all defenses were focused outwards and my dreadnaught is not crashed above the whole with its bay to it.

copy and paste Tir. No more people are getting access to the forum at TNO.
Do the Kubaz even have a Palace? Or a queen, for that matter? Not to say they don't, I just didn't know they did.
Kubaz live in a hive culture. And do have queens in their "hives". As such, since they are an advanced civiliaztion now, I would assume the queen would have a palace. Also, since they've obviously been united enough to an army and a navy, the capital's queen must be the head one, calling the shots for the planet.
