Journey to Onderon: The Will of the Force

Luis laughed as Dirk ran by him. He silently thanked the Force that Dirk and Hanix were there, Luis was not strong in combat and it was good to have two powerful warriors on his side.

The Knight turned sharply and ran towards a guard behind him and flipped over him, the confused guard traced Luis with his blaster, but didn't get the chance to fire as his arm was no longer connected to his body. Luis let him fall and spun around quickly to behead another guard. Things were getting intense now, and the alarms were sounding, which, when mixed with the constant hum of lightsabers and blaster fire, made a defeaning noise. He let Hanix and Dirk handle the guards while he unpacked a few charges. He clipped one on to the side of a huge canister that had 'HIGHLY FLAMMABLE' written on it. He turned the disc to activate it and three green lights flashed on.

There was a lapse in guard activity as the remainder either took cover to fire at the group from safety or ran off to bring reinforcements. Luis turned to face Dirk and Hanix. Suddenly, from above them, several circular hatches turned and dropped down, revealing double barrelled turret guns. The red lights on top of them flickered on as the security systems activated.

"Sentry Guns! Look out! Take Cover!"

He shouted as they began to unleash an impossibly fast flurry of red lasers. Luis deflected as many as he could, but a single bolt made it through his defenses and winged his shoulder. He grunted as he retreated to cover behind a computer terminal. the sentry gun buzzed and began to spin slowly, scanning for a target. He peeped over the top of the machinery and the turret tracked him and fired again, he managed to get his head down well in advance and the fire hit the console that he was hid behind. He held his lightsaber tightly and stood up and threw it telkinetically, before the gun could track him again, both barrels were severed, as well as several wires. The lightsaber arced a few more times before retracting and returning to Luis' hand. He watched as the gun span crazily before it fizzled and stopped altogether, its red light dimming then switching off. There were still other Turrets, but not in their Line of sight, so they were reasonably safe.

He sighed and waved to the group, they were still under fire from guards at the other end of the facilities, who had all been sensible enough to take cover.

"Lets place these charges and get out of here. Watch for the guns, and watch for Guards. I'm going to look for a security panel to switch off the alarms and the remaining guns. I have a nasty feeling they will have bigger surprises."

He said, glancing up at a thin plexiglass window set in the factory wall, high above the production floor.

The jedi master moved through the Onderonian jungle like a knife through butter, easily navigating the dense tree canopy and the territorial ranges of the indiginous wildlife, which remained alert to the interlopers. Behind him, padawan Justin Jeter moved with a confidence and grace, not seen at his age, attuned to the force meld the master and padawan were in.

Odon Baas could sense a danger on the horizon but try as he did, the vision of the future kept scattering into the vastness of the force. Forcing his frustration out of his head, he tried once again to grasp the dark tendrils of anger that began to envelop the two as they ventured deeper and deeper into the darker portion of the jungle.

Justin Drop!!!

With a swiftness which belied his age, the tall jedi master ignited his green blade, scything it towards the spherical probe droid which had appeared from the foliage. Standing firm, the master watched the black machine split in two, sliding past his blazing green blade, landing harmlessly on the ground, smoldering in flames.

Picking the young padawan off the ground, Odon smiled in an attempt to hide his concern.

Come Justin, it seems as if we have lost the element of suprise. We must be cautious and proceed at all costs to the Temple of Iziz. I sense that our destiny and the success of this mission lies their.

Max turned and looked at Zerxes.

"Very well, just follow my lead and you won't get hurt."

He turned and walked back up the ramp. The others were late and this angered Max, for when they did show up, they would be punished.

A slim sith priest walked toward the man known as Lord Chaos, sensing his growing anger at the lack of response from the Dark Circles knights.

I come in the name of the Dark Lord, I am Tedryn Sha, a member of the priest sect. It is ordained that you leave immediately for Lord Sedris believes time is of the essence. Those who did not show are traitors, obviously influenced by the deeds of your former master, Malice Draclau.

Turning to leave the priest stopped, refusing to hold back.

I wonder if your feelings on this matter are clear Lord Chaos. It has been rumored that you are Draclau's spy, forever to be his lackey. I would be most saddened, for Lord Sedriss has placed great confidence in you. Do not fail him.

Onboard the Shadow Watcher

Silus stood next to his master, his hands behind his back. He was now clothed in the black robes of the sith, a lightsaber clipped to his belt. His face was hidden behind his dark hood, only his mouth was visible.

"Where is it we are to go, my master?"

He was eager to serve, and to slay any who stood in his lords way.

Max glared at the man as he approached.

"Yes, tell the Dark Lord his wishes are to be met."

He turned as the priest spoke again. His words fueling his anger more. He turned back around and glared back at Tendryn.

"The rumors are wrong! I am no longer asscociated Draclau. the Dark Lord need not to be worried about my actions, for I will not fail him."

He turned and walked into the pit of the ship looking at the pilots.

"I want all ships into the air immediately!!!!"

He glared at the pilot.

"NOW!!!!!"

He turned and walked back to where Jude and Razer stood.

"Looks like it's only us. The others will soon learn pain for not showing."

Justin dropped to the ground while Odon disptached of the probe droid. After listening to Odon's words, Justin continued to follow him through the dense jungle. Odon said something about the temple of Iziz, but, Justin had never heard of it. Whatever it was, it must be important.

As Justin walked along behind the great Jedi Master, he kept himself attuned to the Force, keeping himself alert for anything.

Razer looked over as his master entered. Darkness flooding his words, Razer spoke.

"Yes, Lord Chaos. They do not understand. I cannot wait to see some Jedi blood on my blade."

Razer let out a crooked, sadistic smile.

The wilds of Onderon-

Bringing the 'Pearl' to a very densely forested area Rhianna sought a clearing just large enough to land. It was not long before such a place was found and she had the craft on the ground.

"Let's hurry Lily, just as I thought the sun is beginning to set in this region and the night creatures will have the advantage of knowing the area."

Hauling out the heavy camonets she proceeded to pull them over the 'Pearl'. When they had covered it completely she lifted the edge and returned to the ship for her pack.

"Take just your pack, we need to travel lightly." She could already feel a darkness like no other teeming within the Force. This place had a dark past, one she had only read a little information on. Now that she was here she wished she had more knowledge of this particular world.

Lifting her pack to her shoulders she checked her belt to make sure she had everything she needed. Assured that she was ready she waited for Lily just outside the ship. Her Naishi sense of smell told her that they were not alone in the area, the scent of fresh blood prickled her senses. A carnivore of some sort was nearby but had not come too close yet.

As soon as Lily came down from the ship they would set off for the Temple as Odon had suggested. She only hoped that he was there with Kale already.

It was a sweet sensation, filling Odon's mind and heart with warmth and strength, erasing much of his concern....Rhianna Skywalker had arrived on Onderon. Closing his eyes he sent his force signature out to her, alerting her of his presence.

I am here, 10 miles due west of the Temple of Iziz. We shall be their by morning. Travel lightly for the natives are restless.

Turning back to his padawan colleague he spoke confidently for the first time in days.

We shall push on through the night, arriving at the temple in the morning. Our destiny lies their and we shall face it with the courage of Jedi Knights. You are doing well young one and I am happy to have you on this mission.
