Jedi Burial Grounds. Ruusan

Although he understood that despite his best efforts to defend himself over the past number of days, maybe even weeks (he seemed to have lost count), Arkan knew that he would have to leave Ruusan or incite the wrath of a Jedi expedition looking for him. He was like a beacon here, a sole darkened essence amongst the barren canyon system of Ruusan. But he bided his time well, he was looking for a path. The Codex was the key here, as a Force-user of unknown power, even to himself, Arkan used the Force Fountain not just to replenish his energies, but to extend his sight of reality and view the galaxies trillions of life-forms and find the strands that would lead him to the prize. The prize he needed to destroy.

No guardian in their right mind would want to allow such power to exist, one that was portable at least. Power was earned, not taken. As though the Force told him so, Arkan was compelled to hunt this artifact down.
---

This artifact, known as the Codex, was blindly considered the Jedi Codex because of its ability to enhance and empower, especially for those who were Force Sensitive. Now, this artifact was lost after Dark Jedi Halbert's defeat by a group of Jedi. Although the Codex was later found by one known as Pann, Dark Jedi Halbert still remained and being a Force Adept like herself, she still had some connection to the artifact. The point was, Halbert was dead during a conflict between the New Republic and the Empire. Classified information in the New Republic Archives took record of the entire event at Kathol, between the New Republic and the Empire at that time. In result of this battle, the system was surrounded by gravitational anomalies similar to The Maw at Kessel.

----

Arkan knew he would visit Kathol somehow, sometime later. But right now, the focus was on the Codex. Amplified by the Force Fountain, Arkan took on hundreds of minds at a time, quickly scanning surface thoughts as to any figment of the artifacts location. Every single mind had little knowledge of such an object, until Arkan started scanning all of the Force-Users. Although he was careful not to tread on dangerous ground by reading their minds, he instead, examined their course and destination. The Sith were clumped on Onderon, the Jedi were heading into... a strange number of directions. But he suspected this was routine scouting.

Although he began to trace the minds of his old comrades and link off from there. Kenshin was first, then Luis, which went to Hanix, but also to Kale, then onward. Like a chain-reaction, he began to follow their course and destination by taking a peek into the future. Kale sparked Arkan's interest though, he was heading relatively without numbers. This was really strange.

He decided to wait. With near limitless power in this Force Fountain, he could compel himself to whoever had the strongest output in thoughts of the Codex. All he needed was timing to send his essence and being outward to the proper destination. After that, he knew he would have to get to Ruusan manually to try anything again if he made error.

Stepping off of the ship, Omoi looked around for the rest of her teamates. Spotting Luis, and Hanix, he glanced around, finding Dirk also. Sighing softly, she pulled her lightsaber out of her satchel, clipping it onto her belt. She knew this would prove difficult for her, she had had minimal training with her lightsaber, and wasn't that at controlling her energy to heal others yet.

Taking a step forward, and towards Hanix and Luis, Omoi threw her satchel on both arms, and tossed it to her back, strapping it down. Looking around once more, she carefully examined where they were, though she wasn't *trying* to get lost, she had probably the world's worst sense of direction.

ONBOARD THE OVERLORD

Bannor had been sleeping in his bunk, while Kale did most of the piloting. In all the time that Bannor had trained with Kale, this was the first time Kale was not telling him everything. This somewhat bothered Bannor, but he knew Kale had only the best of intentions, and would trust him with his life. Kale was more than just a Master to Bannor, he was the only friend Bannor had, more like family now.

Bannor awoke as the ship jerking and came out of hyperspace. He slowly got to his feet and slipped on his boots. Leaving his two swords in the corner of his room, he took his lightsaber in his hand and looked it over. He had only built it recently, but already he was beginning to get attached to it. Unlike his swords, he knew the history of this weapon and had a special trust with it because of that.

Bannor walked to the cockpit and saw Kale there, in the pilots seat. He smiled as he spoke.

" It has been a long voyage so far, you should get some rest in a more comfortable place. I can handle it from here if you wish, Master."

Onboard the Overlord

Kale grinned as he looked at Bannor who sat down beside him. Kale had not been using the Force, but knew that the ship rocking out and in to hyperspace would stir the man who seemed to sleep lighty to begin with. Looking ahead to the mission, Kale hoped that his training would serve the man well.

"Ever thoughtful Bannor... my favorite apprentice." Kale smiled, kicking his feet up onto the control panel, and placing his hands behind his head. Kale sensed the worry that burried itself within Bannor's heart, and the look of happiness melted off of his face, as though it were wax under a flame.

Staring out through the viewport, Kale breathed in deeply, wishing that the canned air of a Starship could taste as good as the sweet air of Naboo.

"Your feelings betray you, Bannor. Though, not half as much as the look on your face. I have been quite secretive up to this point, though for good reason. Now, on the final leg of our journey, I can speak with you, the truth of our mission.

"As before, we are searching for the Codex. However, we will not be looking for it on Onderon. I had to tell the others that, to provide for ourselves with a decoy. Though i hesitate to speak the name of the planet we head to just yet, I will tell you that we are going to be the only Jedi there... no back up, no nothing. If anyone could have tracked us, we are on our own." Kale turned to bannor, face totally serious, but then broke the glance with a wink. He knew Bannor and he would fair well.

On board the Starwinder, Gaghrin system

Luis smiled warmly at Hanix, it relieved his concious to know that Hanix at least was still speaking to him:

"Thank you Hanix, I just hope that all goes well"

He said, interuppted by a beeping from a datapad in his hand. They were nearing the planet. It was time to get serious. He turned and darted back into the cockpit and put his satchel of explosives on. Sliding a metal chest out from under a shelf, he opened it, inside were three more satchels of charges. He picked them up and carried them through. He passed them gently around, one for Hanix, one for Dirk, and one for Omoi.

His expression grew serious as he looked at each member of the Blue team.

"To tell you the truth, Blue Team, we are here to blow the production facilities on Gaghrin up. The satchel I have just given you is packed with explosives..."

He paused to make sure his words sunk in:

"..When we land, its our job to make as much noise as possible, head in, make a mess, make a general ruckus. Then Blow the place sky high"

He said, moving his hands suddenly outward to symblize an explosion. He smiled:

"But we must not get too confident, there will be resistance to all this, they're not just going to let us waltz in and blow there precious facilities up. They may have a few sith, and plenty guards, I'm sure that we're capable of dealing with these."

Dirk smiled as he heard his master speak of their plans. Although still a padawan in name, he had already been deemed ready for the trials so he could look upon the knights with some semblence of equality.

Dirk opened the satchel that Luis had tossed him, and began checking the charges. For a second all went dark around him, a flashback of Imperial service, the voice of Vader ordering charges prepared for destruction of the Rebel base... he snapped his head up suddenly, looking at the faces that surrounded him now. He hoped Master D'Nubra had not noticed him, he would have enough on his mind with out worring about him.

He patted the lightsaber at his side, and reached over to the Merr Sonn DeathHammer blaster holstered by his saber. True, he probably didn't need it anymore, but he had carried with him most of his adult life, but it wouldn't hurt to stay safe.

"How long until we land?", he asked, "And whats the plan when we do?"

His military training was apparent...

Aboard the Overloard...

Bannor's smile had faded long before the end of Kale's words. He had heard word of this codex, but as to what it truly was and what it was capable of, he wasnt sure he really wanted to know. Finding out that he and Master Icarius were indeed going to be alone, brought back the smile.

"Alone? Good, It would be awful for someone to see me best you in this quest."

Bannor let out a light laugh, the first in months. He fully new that besting Master Icarius would be a job all on its on. Whatever Kale needed him to do, he would be there, no questions asked.

As Bannor sat down at the control deck, he asked " How much longer before we reach our destination?"

Onboard the Storm Shadow. Gaghrin System.

"From the ground."

Kenshin casually pointed at the door to the storage room behind him.

"In there holds backpacks loaded with explosives. We each get one. Then we will sneak into the facilities, set the bombs, and blow the place sky high.

Of course there will be the guards but they shouldn't be a problem. You do, however, have to keep an eye out for the occasional Sith.

Oh and keep a few tabs on Blue team. They'll be doing the same thing."

Glancing at the control panels for a moment, Kenshin turned to gaze out the window.

"We'll be landing soon. Any questions? I'll answer them if I can."

Alana crossed her arms and glanced out the window, "What about the security systems in that facility? Or do we want them to know we're there?"

She was falling into her own self training, get in, do the damgage/work, and get out again in one piece. Fortunately for her she was actually with someone this time. She was used to working alone.

I really must get used to working with people again, she thought, but she kept the thought to herself. Much had happened to her since that time. It would be interesting from an analitical(sp) point of view to see what the effects would be now...

Jedi Burial Grounds, Ruusan

Kale was gone. Although his Force trail was detected by Arkan, it would take hours to find him again amongst the multitudes of beings in the galaxy. He spread out his focus and took notice of the other Jedi group.

It seemed futile. Or a suicide run. A small group of Jedi against the massive fleets of the Sith. Logically, unless one of these Jedis could pull maneuvers like the ones done against the Vong, they had no chance of surviving. No, they would have to be on the ground. And logically, if Kale found the Codex, he would most likely use it help his allies. If he did not, he would be betraying his friends for their own escape would prove very difficult.

That was it. That was what he had to do.

The only vessel he remembered existed here and was readily usable was the Firespray Patrol-ship. If anything this would be called the Firespray II because if its increased maneuverability and speed, sacrificing rate-of-fire and the ability to switch landing and flight mode easily. This vessel was Arkan's own ship, but he found it rarely in need of use. He could call upon his ship by remote control and it would only take a few hours for it to come.

Replacing his spirit back into his mortal form, Arkan awoke. He stretched himself out, crackles in his back audibly showing that his body was stiffened. Flexing his arms and fingers, he compelled himself down the Force Fountain and gently walked out onto the ground. With a snap of his fingers, two pained screams, both not human, echoed throughout the chamber. To Arkan's Force Vision, two clusters purple energy particles flew from the ground and enfused into him. Envigorated by the Force Fountain, he could not help but feel uncomfortable and a bit nauseated. Whatever the case, he would have to use this energy to regulate his mortal body from convulsing.

Stretching his arms out to the sides, he glowed an ethereal blue glow, rising from the ground a few inches. By the time he settled the curse he put outside amongst the warring spirits, the Firespray he called Revenant would be waiting amongst the Valley. So forth, he started hovering forward through the corridors and tunnels.
