I looked at him, square in the eyes, my brandy brown eyes watering. I wasn't crying, but it was soon that I would be. I stepped closer to Kamon, never letting my eyes leave his.

"I know you want me to stay, Kam, but you cannot ignore what has happened. You know I've changed, you can feel it, can't you?"

I sneezed, and shook my head. I closed my eyes, and tears streamed down.

"There is no where that I think I belong more then here on Thloatin, but I do not want to risk hurting everything we fought for. Can you say that you do?"

Kamon shoved Jace down in the chair he had just vacated. He didn't care how Jace had changed. He wasn't leaving Tholatin and that was that. He wasn't going anywhere.

"You are not leaving this planet Jace. I will not allow it."

Kamon walked over to the balacony and looked out to the horizon. jace could do more damage losse in the galaxy than he could on Tholatin. Kamon would not let him go.

"Look at yourself, Kamon."

I stayed in the seat that he had backed me into. I was not going to fight him here, not now. This was going to end with words, he had to see what he was doing in keeping me here.

"You do not trust me loose out there, do you? I can feel it in you. I know that you are keeping me here so you can look over my shoulder. I can't live like that, I am too independent to have people watching my work so closely."

"You have no idea what you are talking about!"

He yelled it loudly and still the children did not wake from their slumber. Either they were deeply in a Force comfort zone or it wasn't loud enough to wake them. He turned and advanced on Jace.

"You will not leave."

I stood up, slowly, and stood in front of Kamon. It was a defiant stance in itself, but I took it one step closer. I stepped up to him, looking into his face, and I stopped mere centimeters away, my voice a deadly whisper,

"You cannot stop me, Kam. It is for the best, and you know it. Stop being so stupid and listen to the facts! You are a smart man, and you know I am right. Zerxes even know that --"

I stopped, but I had already said too much, I sturned and sat back down.

"You fought Zerxes?! I'm surprised you aren't dead! He will kill you!"

Kamon grabbed Jace's shirt and turned him around. It was time he laid down the law. He shoved his face into Jace's before speaking again. jace would learn one way or another.

"DO not fight me or my brother! Neither one of us will hesitate to kill you if forced."

"Is that a threat, Kamon?"

I glared at him, and I felt the force of my anger growing. I took deep breaths, and then started again. The scar the ran from my neck down my back started to hurt at the mention of the fight with the Darksider.

"I fought him, and I lived. Listen to yourself, your words. You just said that you'd kill me, Kamon, what kind of trust is that?"

"Get out. Now."

He closed his eyes and turned away. It was too much. His padawan had slipped that much he and anyone would be able to see. There was nothing Kmaon could do unless he killed Jace and he couldn't do that. Not now and hopefully not ever.

"Leave."

I turned on my heels, and walked off the balacony, and slammed the door shut behind me. I did not hesisate, I continued on down teh hall, and towards the Docking Bay. I did not ever want to have to fight Kamon, but at this rate, and with his attidute towards me of late...I knew it was only a matter of time.

I leaned back in the seat of my fighter, the one I had left here long ago. Starting up the engines, I waited for the clearance codes.

Goodbye, Kamon.

Kamon looked out over the balacony as Jacen's ship took off. He was losing a friend and a son of sorts. Kamon couldn't bare it. Tears started to roll out of his eyes.

A hand on his shoulder made him turn around. Kate was standing there in an evening gown and Kamon rested his head on her shoulder and cried. He couldn't stop.

"What's wrong, Kamon?" She said it with a loving tone and it only made Kamon cry more.

"Jace is slipping and he's going to kill. I sent him away."

She pulled Kamon into the room and sat him down on the bed where she sat next to him and wrapped her arms around him. He continued to cry on her shoulder and she held him in her arms.
