Amalia had already begun to make her way towards the locked door, lightsaber already unclipped from her belt, however, not yet ignited.
Her attention was carefully centered on the door, and on nothing else. Amalia was still aware of all that was going on around her though. Placing her one free hand on the door, she stretched out with the force, trying to pin point, or feel the doors most weakest point. Without turning her head, she spoke out softly as she answered Leia's question. She uttered just a few small words, but those words were all that she needed to say.
"He's dead."
Her words were followed through with the sound of her lightsaber coming to life. The purple blade shinned brightly as she took her free hand off the door, and placed it firmly upon her Jedi tool.
Amalia could feel the force running strongly through her now, she was quite connected with the force. She was so connected that she seemed to only notice herself and what she was doing.
Finally after several moments of deep concentration, her lightsaber seemed to begin to shove itself through the door.
Sometimes, a Jedi must do, what a Jedi must do.
Yes, she was destroying property, property that was not her own, but she was doing what she felt best.
Frustration and determination seemed to be edged on her face, though no one could see it. She'd even gritted her teeth a few times as she struggled to slice the door apart.
Her so called victory, if one could even call it that, was the sound of the door as it loudly crashed and tumbled to the ground.
She wasted no time as she deactived her saber, placing it quickly back upon her belt. She turned back to both Jedi, no expression crossing her face.
"You never said how I had to do it, and you never said how "pretty" it had to be. So there you go."
She gestured to the door without looking at it.
"Anything else before I go?"
Only now was what had happened actually hitting her, but she was determined still to make the best of it, no matter what...

<!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> 'Before I go', she had said...
Now where could she be off to, or what else could that mean?
Or am I just trying to second guess a question of which there is no second answer to...?<!--EZCODE ITALIC END-->
Leia grunted.
"Yeah there is something else, I'm going with you."
Leia walked over to Amalia and the door, stopping a few meters away. She looked back at Kahn, but knew she had no concern to hold for him. Well, shouldn't have had any, but she did anyways. She mentally shrugged, and met the gaze with which Amalia dealt her next evenly.

Amalia shifted her gaze away from Leia's rather quickly, looking toward the ground for just a moment.
Something else was on her mind, besides the death's that occured, and it had to do with Leia.
She knew Leia had been having trouble on the ledge, and that Kahn had been having trouble too, trying to save her. If she had not been involved with that Sith, maybe she could have been more useful.
She felt guilty, but it was her own insecurity, one that she would have to let go. Yet this feeling would not be revealed to either Jedi. Instead, it would seem and feel like nothing than a change in attitude with Amalia. Such as her avoiding Leia's gaze.
She looked back up, meeting Leia's gaze, yet still she held no emotion. Perhaps however, no matter what Amalia tried to hide, Leia would either see it, feel it, or sense it. Leia knew the Jedi quite well, even if it came to Amalia hiding her own deep emotions or feelings.
Her manner and tone was soft as she spoke once more.
"I'm sorry, I thought you meant for me to go alone. To find and bring help back. To.."
Her eyes wanted to shift away from Leia's gaze, but they did not. Pehaps that was even a hint that she was hiding her own feelings.
"..find your comlink.."
There was also a sense of doubt of herself which had to do with Kahn. She wondered if she had done right in letting him take the lead, if it had not been too much for him. Had she pushed him too hard? Did he doubt the choices she made? Had she been too hard on him? Yet these feelings too did not show, as she kept the feelings within....

The Jedi Knight rose as well, his face set in an grim line. Although he was careful to hide it, he wasn't putting much weight on his left leg, where the blaster shot had grazed him. Jedi were taught to accept pain as a way of their body sending them the message that they were injured. Once they accepted it, the healing process went much faster. Of course, it was also aided by the Force somewhat.
Kahn had noticed the sudden change in Amalia's attitude, and he was slightly confused about it. As he had no idea what her thoughts were, the Knight wondered if perhaps he had done something wrong. Was it because of the bodies? Perhaps she felt he could have won the battle without killing them. That was just one possibility that flashed in Kahn's mind as he pondered why his Master was suddenly acting so differently.
He walked over to the other Jedi, using the Force to ease the pain from his wounds and make it seems as though he wasn't limpiing slightly. He spoke aloud.
"I'll come along as well; staying in this part of the building any longer doesn't really appeal to me."

Leia's expression softened considerably as she continued to look at Amalia, changing into one of mixed concern and curiosity. Her mouth half opened as if she were about to say something, but then it closed again and she turned away from Amalia to silently reguard the hole in the door instead.
<!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> They have both done well.
But they doubt it, they seem squeamish, too uncertain, almost.
I don't.
But then, I'm far too used to this stuff.<!--EZCODE ITALIC END-->
Leia looked from Amalia to Kahn, and back again. Something wasn't right here, but there was nothing she could do to fix it at the moment, if at all.
She sighed and walked over to the hole in the door. She bent over somewhat awkwardly, and stepped through the opening, dissapearing out of view as she moved to some unseen location beyond.
Deciding to keep her track of thought on the current task ahead of them instead of the invisible emotional insecurities floating around in the air, she finally spoke. Whatever it was she felt coming off of both of the other Jedi, she, at least, would deal with it when they got to the ground floor.
"There are no working turbolifts, we'll have to take the stairs."

"We better get going then."
The trio began to descend the stairs, each occupied with their own private thoughts. All three served the Light, and all three were well-worthy of the titles that they had earned. Of course, true Jedi didn't worry about ranks and the like. What was really important was that one did one's duty to the best of their ability; that they gave their all in every situation, acting to preserve the Jedi Code at all times.
Kahn felt some of the guilt about the snipers leave him as he recalled a phrase from the Jedi Code: There is no death; there is the Force. Even if the snipers hadn't been Force sensative, even if they had had evil intentions, they were, in death, one with the Force.

Amalia fell behind the two Jedi by a fair distance, probably because she was too occupied with her own thoughts to keep up.
She'd even forgot what they were supposed to be doing in the first place as her feet touched leveled ground.
Kahn and Leia were still walking, but she'd already stopped at the foot of the steps. She closed her eyes for a minute, just resting. It did not matter to her if she was wasting time or not, she needed a rest, just to clear her mind. Her thoughts told her otherwise however.
You need more than just a rest, Jedi. You don't even know who you are anymore, let alone what you've become.
She walked on again...

The Jedi Knight did not need to glance back to sense Amalia's progress behind them. The Force allowed one a greater range of 'sight' than one's eyes ever could. She seemed to be catching up some now, but something still bothered Kahn.
Amalia and he had developed a special bond through time, the type of bond that melded together the relationship of Master and Padawan, as well as two close friends. Both of them knew how to read each other quite well, and the Force told Kahn that there was something....off about his Master. This was unusual for Amalia. She was generally a model Jedi, a dedicated teacher, a loving mother. In a sense, some might say she was perfect.
Of course, Kahn knew this wasn't true. No one was perfect. His Master had problems just like everyone else. Still, right now there was something more than the usual issues. He did not change his pace, nor did his gaze waver from the path ahead of him. Instead, the Jedi Knight spoke via the Force to Amalia.
Is something troubling you, Master?
There was a note of concern in his 'voice'.

All in all, Amalia continued to keep her pace, Kahn and Leia always in eyesight.
It was just after a few seconds that she "felt" Kahn.
Is something troubling you, Master?
How could she hide such things from Kahn. She couldn't really, especially since they had once discussed this a few times before.
She could not lie to him. She did not want to lie to him.
It's...so difficult to explain. I feel so lost. I don't feel like myself anymore. I've changed so much, that I just don't recognize myself anymore. I think...I think that after we go home...I think I could use a vacation. Go away for a little while, maybe. I want to find myself again.

As Amalia's response reached Kahn, he remembered the conversation the two of them had had earlier. They had both felt an emptiness, something that was missing about themselves. The Jedi Knight had found his missing piece in the form of Hanna Skywalker, now his wife. But Amalia still had to find hers.
He replied back in kind as they came into view of the rest of Leia's team.
You'll find what you're looking for, Master. I know you will.
