I am still undecided...
Amalia waited within the council room chambers, pacing slowly back and forth.
She was nervous...
After all, it was not as if she had done anything like this before. She'd wanted more time to think, but she could not. She could hold off no longer.
I must let fate decide this one...The force will guide me.
Just as her thoughts had ended, in walked Kahn. She stopped pacing, immediately upon his entrance into the council chambers.
She smiled coolly at him.
"I Thank You for coming on such short notice. I know it's not often easy to come right away when you are being called upon, but I Thank You for coming so promptly."
She reached out suddenly, squeezing his arm reassuringly.
"You've nothing to worry about, I can assure you. I've asked you here.....because I wish you to accompany me on a trip. I need...protection."
The Jedi Master frowned, her feelings were unsure.
"I sense a disturbance in the force, and I do not wish to go alone because of these feelings."
It was true, the Jedi Master did sense a disturbance in the force, but there was more to requesting Kahn specifcally, than what one could tell, but Amalia's thoughts suggested none of this.
She smiled, a look of hope crossing her face.
"So how about it? Can you fit me in?"
She grinned.

OOC: Oooh...sounds like fun. :)
IC:
The Jedi Knight had been in the Temple meditating when he recieved word that Amalia wished to speak with him. Not one to waste time, Kahn had headed to the council room quickly. He was not entirely sure why Amalia wanted to see him, but the Jedi was always glad for a chance to speak with his Master. They were both so busy these days; there just wasn't enough time to keep up on each other.
As soon as he entered the council room, Kahn noticed that something was amiss. It wasn't much, just a very slight ripple in the Force coming from Amalia. As she began speaking, his curiosity and concern were aroused. He knew full well that Amalia was perfectly capable of taking care of herself; after all, she was a Jedi Master. And that was why it puzzled him as to why she would need him for protection. The disturbance she spoke of reminded him of the feeling of unease he had had lately. Kahn had been unsure what it was that he was feeling, or even if it wasn't just his imagination. It didn't take him long to speak aloud his decision.
"Of course I can, Master. You know I'm always willing to help you out."
The Knight wanted to ask more about the situation, but he knew that his Master would tell him what he needed to know when she felt it was right.

Her face brightened at his response, glad to know he would accompany her.
Little did she know that the disturbance she felt had nothing to do with her, but with someone else....
"Good, I could use your company, it's always welcomed."
She clasped her hands together, her eyes flicked back and forth for a moment as she thought.
"I suppose you are wondering just where it is we are going....Well, it seems my duties call me to Corellia, it's nothing spectacular. It seems there has been some major break ins on several places throughout Corellia, one building is worried about in particular. Now I was not given any information on this building, nor what's inside it. I'm just to watch over it, make sure no harm comes to it."
She smiled, shrugging.
"So if anything, I suppose this will give us some time to talk..."
She was going to say more when she quickly remembered that the ship she would be going on was to leave in lass than an hour from now.
"The shuttle leaves in less than an hour, do you think you can have your things packed and ready to go by then? I'll meet you at the docking bay..."

Hmm....Corellia. The planet was one that Kahn had heard of and visited on occasion, but it didn't hold much importance to him. The problem of burglaries puzzled the Knight. After all, generally it was the local law enforcement who took care of that sort of thing. For Jedi to be requested it must be something more than what it appeared.
"I'll see you there, Master."
He turned to leave, mentally forming a list of things he would need for the trip. There seemed to be something more to this mission, and Kahn felt glad that Amalia had asked him to come along.

...And there was certainly more to this mission, but fate seemed to have a way of letting things carry through.
Amalia had not at all lied to Kahn, but she had not told him everything either. She indeed needed his presence with her, but it was more than just for protection.
She needed him with her so that she could evaluate him, to study him. She wanted to study his growth and progress. So that she could decide...
Fate would have a way of deciding for her though, on this mission, she just did not know it yet. It came along with those disturbances in the force she was having...
Thirty minutes later the Jedi Master stood at the entrance of the docking bay, awaiting Kahn...

The Jedi Knight arrived a few minutes after Amalia with a small bag. Jedi were trained to live without anything but the barest essentials, and thus were able to choose only objects that would be of use to them when they went on missions. Kahn had a few changes of clothes, a survival pack, and his lightsaber.
Seeing Amalia waiting for him, Kahn walked quickly towards her.
"Alll set and ready to go, Master."

OOC: Going to move this up a bit, I'm eager to get to the big stuff.
IC: Several hours later...
Amalia and Kahn found themselves standing in the docking bay in Corellia. Amalia had not been here in some time, and as always when she came to this planet, it always looked different to her.
She turned to Kahn, frowning a bit, shaking her head as well.
"I think we'll have to take a speeder, the streets are mcuh too crowded at this time of day. We'll still have to go by foot once we get closer."
Amalia's feelings through the force only seemed to be growing stronger now.
Nonetheless, she paid these feelings no mind, partly due to her wanting to concentrate on what she was doing now, and partly so she would not worry Kahn.
They took a speeder until they reached what looked like a bridge of some sort. They'd have to walk by foot now, the structure was not strong enough to carry the speeder, nor was it big enough.
They came half way across the bridge when Amalia felt a sharp sense of pain reach her, trouble as well. Someone was in trouble...
"Somethings wrong..."
She stopped walking, turning to Kahn.
"Don't you feel it? Anything? Any disturbance of any kind?"
She wanted to be reassured that it was not just her that was disturbed as well. She could not pin point what the disturbance was directly, nonetheless, she still knew that something was wrong.

OOC: Fine by me, I'm curious now. :)
IC:
The two had been relatively silent on the speeder ride, each occupied with their own thoughts. Kahn had been concentrating on his connection to the Force, deepening and strengthening it. The feeling that something was wrong had been slight, but some intuition told the Knight to prepare himself.
When they reached the bridge, Amalia wasn't the only one to feel the tremor. Kahn too felt a flash of pain go through him, and he halted when his Master did, locking her gaze. His eyes were troubled, as he too felt the urge to follow the source of the ripple.
"I felt it, Master. Someone is in need of our assistance, I can feel that. And something more...."

OOC: I have no idea what I am doing....*smiles anyway*
IC: "Good to know I'm not the only one. We'd better hurry..."
The two walked, well rather, walked quickly off the crossing platform they were on. Amalia, just as Kahn was, followed her feelings within the force, looking for the disturbance. She was not clear on heading for their desired destination, of where the mission was to take them, but rather intent on helping whoever needed assitance.
Despite her path, Amalia immediately recognized that they were heading toward the building that Amalia was supposedly assigned to.
Very odd...
Amalia could not see her way clear to get a good look onto the building, but from what she could see, there was nothing that looked out of the ordinary.
"It's strange...this is where I was supposed to go when I got here. Still, I don't see anything wrong, at least on the outside anyway. Maybe what we are feeling could be something that is going on inside the building. We'd better check it out.."
Little did the two Jedi know that they'd be wasting their time looking throughout the inside of the building. The real trouble waited on top of the roof....on the opposite side of the building where the two had not come from...

OOC: Where you lead, follow I will. :)
IC:
Kahn nodded silently in agreement, his left hand resting next to his saber. Tremors in the Force were not to be taken lightly at any time. It was better to guard against an attack that might never come than to be caught unawares and pay the price in blood.
The two Jedi entered the building, each highly attuned to the living Force. The Jedi Knight searched the area mentally, casting out the Force like a net to test for any possible cause of the foreboding feeling that hung in the air.
He shook his head after a few moments, a puzzled and slightly frustrated look on his face.
"I can still sense it, but it's origin is not in this structure."
