The Jedi Knight had moved next to the Sith apprentice, who no doubt was both surprised and relieved to see that a Jedi had come to his rescue. A clouded expression passed across the Dark Sider's face; Sith inspired hate towards all Jedi, and yet, here was one saving his life. It could cause the young man to rethink his decisions.

Not that Kahn was thinking about that at the moment. Rather, he extended a hand to the man. As soon as the Sith grabbed it, a blaster shot rang out. The beam of energy smashed into the wall not far from where the victim was hanging.

Sensing the need to move quickly now, the Knight reached for the Force, using it to give him enough strength to pull the Dark Sider to safety with ease. For a moment or two, they both stared at each other. Jedi and Sith, sworn enemies of each other. Would the apprentice leave, or try to cause further trouble?

Before this variable was solved, a large tremor in the Force caused Kahn to look once more towards the building where the sniper shot had come from. He was surprised to see another figure hanging there, one that he knew well. Organa Solo.

Looking towards Amalia, he wondered briefly if it would be best to have both of them go to the Jedi Master's aid, or for one to stay behind and make sure the Sith did not attempt to harm them.

The decision came in a moment. They could trust this apprentice, at least trust him not to attack while their backs were turned. A hardened Sith would have no qualms about attacking those who had just saved him. But this one was young enough that doubt crept in, doubt that would keep him from doing anything violent.

Moving forward, he knew that Amalia would be right behind him. Gauging the distance between buildings, he summoned the Force once again to make the jump across the gap. With his momentum, he managed to go through the broken window and land just beside the ledge. Sharp shards of glass had cut him on his arms and legs, but they were minor. Nothing that bacta couldn't take care of.

Backing away from the window, he waited for Amalia to make the jump as well.

Kahn had maybe expected the Jedi Master to follow after him, but she did not. She stayed.

She did not stay because the Sith could not be trusted, but instead, she stayed because she felt Kahn could accomplish this task on his own.

Amalia's purpose had been one of a helping hand should the Jedi Knight had needed it, a back up should anything had gone wrong, support. She knew quite well that Kahn could have handled the task on his own, had it turned out that way.

She saw Kahn look her way as he backed away from the window, but her face still gave off no expression as she shook her head no. Her thoughts once again reached out to him

No...This too you can do.

Amalia's eyes quickly fell from Kahn's presence and onto Leia. Amalia never hesitated when it came to saving Leia, never.

This time she would not do it...

This time....It was Kahn's turn to be the hero.

Her eyes quickly switched back to Kahn, a hidden sense of pride filled her as she nodded her head toward his direction. She had a hidden thought run through her mind, but it would reach neither of the two Jedi across the street.

I am undecided no longer, and I know now that he is ready...

Ready for just what? Well that would obviously remanin unclear for the time being....

Leia's grip was steadily slipping... her fingers were cramping up, she just couldn't hold on any longer when she only had one hand to hang by.

Panting for air, she tried to hold herself as still as possible, so that she wouldn't swing in midair. Her hope was fast running out...

And then a blur of brown Jedi robes flew past over her, into the window. Her head snapped up to track the figure, but it had already dissapeared inside, she couldn't see who or what it was.

She hoped to hell it was a helping hand.

Unfortunately, the helping hand was going to be a little delayed in getting to her. As Leia had suspected, there was more than one sniper.

There were three. And the remaining two had witnessed the death of their friend, and now had their sights set on revenge.

As Kahn was distracted by looking for Amalia to join him, the door slid open and two large men jogged in, bearing large blaster rifles. They were somewhat surprised to see Kahn standing in front of the window looking out of it, his back to them.

Even as Kahn turned to face the two snipers, they both opened fire on him with their blaster rifles...

OOC: Nothing like a bit of fun...:)

IC:

The Jedi Knight had been bending down to help Leia, after Amalia gave him the message that this too was something for him to do on his own. The Force warned him that he was not alone in the building, and as he turned towards the entrance he was already drawing his saber. Diving to his left side, he managed to avoid the first round of shots. The white blade of his lightsaber hummed to life, and he quickly assumed a defensive position.

The snipers had hesitated once after he lit his saber, obviously not ready for another Jedi to enter the situation. That gave him time to set himself for another attack. Then they regained their composure and began firing rapidly at Kahn.

His saber moving in fluid motions, the Knight was able to block most of the projectiles. The Force was running through him freely, controlling his actions and enhancing his feelings. But even a Jedi could be brought down by common blaster fire. Kahn was backed up against a wall, and the fire was coming too quickly for him to block all of the shots. One hit him in his right side, and his face tightened in pain. Another grazed his left leg. This couldn't go on for much longer.

Realizing that something had to be done, Kahn reached out for the Force and focused on the weapons that the snipers were holding. He yanked forward in a Force Pull, causing his enemies to stumble forward as well in order to lose their grip on the rifles. They were off-balance for a few seconds, their fingers off the triggers.

A few seconds was all Kahn needed. Even as they had lurched forward, he had taken one step towards them and then propelled himself into the air, effectively flipping over them. Now behind the two, his saber hummed through the air as it descended on the snipers.

It would be easy for the Jedi Knight to kill at least one of them at this time; they were vulnerable, and the killing might be justified. After all, they wouldn't hesitate to end his life or Organa's. But he was a Jedi, and Jedi avoided needless killing whenever possible. Therefore, his weapon only served to cut off one of the sniper's right arm. The being howled in pain, dropping his weapon and clutching his hand. His partner ignored him and began firing once again on Kahn.

The Knight had expected this, and jumped forward and to his right, ending up next to the sniper. Quickly, before the being could readjust his aim, Kahn sliced off the end of the blaster rifle. It dropped useless from the sniper's hands.

Less than two feet away, he held his saber in a neutral position, locking eyes with the sniper.

"You won't live to draw another breath if you reach for another weapon, friend. Be wise and know that in some battles, you cannot win."

Unfortunately, some Sith did not know a good thing when it was presented before them, the once helpless Sith was no exception. Though what came next just did not seem at all too surprising to Amalia.

When a Sith was bad, they were really bad, and although this Sith lacked experience, he did not lack the ever expected traits of a Sith.

It did not take the once helpless Sith to return to his old ways once again, even if his life had been spared.

Little did Amalia know that the dangerous tremors in the force she'd been feeling seconds before, would only be confused with the Sith she was having problems with now, instead of connecting those feelings within the force with what was going on across the street.

Even as the Sith reached for his lightsaber, Amalia seemed to match his speed. In fact, the Jedi Master might have even had her lightsaber ignited a second before the young Sith did.

She followed his movements closely within the force as the Sith tried to bring his saber sharply forward in an attempt to chop the Jedi Master's head off in one swift quick motion. Amalia however, blocked his attack, bringing her saber forward to clash with his own.

She pushed forward with her lightsaber, adding a simple force push to add extra struggle, and the battle went on....

Amalia and Kahn had been made to be fooled once already with this Sith, but this Sith would not get the opportunity to fool either of them a second time...

The remaining sniper looked Kahn up and down.

Without a word, he pulled out a knife from a hidden sheath and, holding it flat against his wrist like a professional fighter, charged at Kahn, knowing that he would either win, or die fighting....

Outside under the window, Leia strained to hold onto the ledge just a little longer...

The sniper may have had quick reflexes, but he was no match for a Jedi. He side-stepped the knife attack, and before the sniper could halt his forward rush, Kahn's saber whirled through the air and cleanly beheaded him. The man's body crumpled to the floor, the knife falling from its dead hand.

A look of sorrow passed over the Knight's features as he shut down his saber. Jedi are taught to mourn every loss of life, even if they do not know that being or are not exactly on very good terms with him.

However, Kahn had not forgotten the reason he had entered the building in the first place. Rushing over to the window ledge, he grabbed Organa's hands with his own, the two of them wincing slightly as their wounds flared up from the physical motion.

Tapping into the Force, he used it to help pull her to safety. Both of them were breathing hard, sweating profusely. With a weak smile, the Jedi spoke to Organa.

"Good to see you again, Master Solo."

Amalia had to hand it to the young Sithling, he was quite skilled in lightsaber combat, or at least he was better skilled than Amalia was.

He'd already tried several attempts to push Amalia out the window, trying to send her to a not so peaceful death.

Amalia knew she'd die some day, but she did not want her death to have such a tragic fate as this, not to mention that she did not want to become one with the force today.

This battle was taking much too long, and she still felt the tremors within the force, but this time, it was connected with her situation.

The two seemed to dance around a bit, the Sith now finding himself near the window's ledge. The battle had been met with silence up until now.

"You've gone too far. Always a Sith to miss a good thing when it comes along...."

The young Sithling had been so lost in the moment as he took out his blaster to let it rest in his other hand while his right hand was occupied with his lightsaber.

He'd must of forgot that he was near the window's ledge, for when Amalia took a quick lunge toward his midsection he stepped back.

However....before he feel to his death below, he managed to reach out toward Amalia(who was already close to the ledge to begin with.)The Sith's action made her stumble a bit, in turn, making her lose her balance.

Yet oddly enough, she did not topple over the window's ledge, but surely it was a close enough call as she regained her footing.

She watched the Sith fall, his lightsaber and blaster had already fallen out of his hands by force of impact.

Amalia shook her head sadly, today had not been a good day...

She'd forgot all about Kahn and Leia during all that time, and now a look of uneasiness crossed her face as she lifted her head to look across the street and onto the window's ledge.

Just what had happened to those two?...

"You don't know just how happy I am to see you..."

Only now did Leia look down at her injured left shoulder to measure the extent of the injury. She found two blaster wounds and only a little bit of blood, as the blaster bolt had cauterized the flesh that it had made contact with. Leia reached up with her right hand to pull away a piece of fabric from her shirt, and as she touched the wound she grunted in pain.

She looked up to Kahn. He was injured too.

"Why were you here, anyways? I was running a special op, over here, and nothing else was going on anywhere else, what attracted you to that other building?"

The smell of singed flesh hung in the air, a rather unpleasant aroma. The burning sensation of his two wounds grew more intense as the adrenaline that had been pumping through Kahn's veins disappeared. He looked curiously at Organa for a moment. Special op? Hmmm....

"Master Azalin alerted me to a ripple in the Force; a feeling that just wasn't quite right. She brought me along with her here. I wasn't told why we were watching that particular building, although we both felt something was wrong."

Remembering Amalia, he looked across the gap to see his Master watching both of them. The Jedi offered a grin and raised his hand to show that they were all right.
