I have an idea. A suggestion. Instead of having your Atlantean Empire pre-existing, why not have it just starting out? Make this the story of the initial rise of the Atlanteans? That would satisfy TRF's requirements.

Because that would make sense, and if his behavior thus far is any indication, logic is not an Atlantean virtue.

Seriosuly, WTF?

Is there a part of "your Empire does not fit in" that you fail to grasp? What part of "you don't have a fleet" is so difficult to understand?

Stop submitting R&Ds.

Stop claiming to have fleets of massive warships.

Stop writing about your Atlantic Empire as if its some kind of uber!Empire.

It's not.

If your group is approved (which, you should note, it has not been), then you can start writing R&Ds/whatever else.

See what I did there? It's called an "if/then" statement. Very useful in instruction.

As it is, you're making an ass of yourself because you have not listened to a word anyone has said. And by doing so, you're not making any friends here.

Were I you, I would forget about this Atlantean thing until you actually know what TRF is all about, because as it is you either have no clue (and haven't done anything to learn, despite the efforts of a great number of members), or you just don't give a flying fuck.

You've been told what you need to do to make the Atlanteans work here. What part of that is so hard to understand, exactly?

Okay. That's it. Blunt as hell time.

Ban the bastard because he won't listen and stop. He's got his warnings, he ignores and continues.

Ban him! Do it!

Considering that no one is willing to help out any more, and that the majority of the Vocal Community wants to see your efforts abolished, I'm going to lay it down very simply in regards to You and Your Atlantean Empire.

Stop. Listen. Learn.

You are dangerously close to being locked out of our site forever. I really, honestly suggest that you re-read this thread, take notes, and then re-read it again.

Smarten up or get the fudge out, as Cartman would say.

Simplest way I can say what to do with your Empire:

It has 1 planet at the start, in one system. The race (as you know it) may have existed for a really long time, but they never went beyond their home system. And their home system has 1 habitable planet in it.

The race built 1 light cruiser and 2 frigates for defence/exploration, as well as some shuttles and fighters. They are just now expanding outward.

If you want them to have some glorious history, they had that history on their home planet, fighting some other race. Maybe they are not expanding because some other race attacked them and they want to expand. And if you find other, prreviously unknown to you, Atlanteans in other systems to make your whole "Core area" for you empire, that is cool, just you are going to have to write 5000 words.

If you want a "This is good, BUT" suggestion, here it is:

"You are eager, you are a good writer, you have ideas, BUT your ideas have pretty much no compatability with TRF and TRF history, which is far more important to the members of the community then us letting you see your idea blossom and bloom. We would rather you not RP here than you do something that completely screws up TRF. As well you are getting lots of help and such (including a long PM to you last night which you kind of just said "yeah, but I want to keep my 5000m ships"), but you are for the most part ignoring it or not understanding it. That just makes the veterans angry. When Irtar is swearing a lot or saying screw this, screw that, you know something is wrong."

Understand?

It is true, the issue needs to be resolved.

Here is what does not help, Jan and others; do not pretend you have any authority to tell a member of this community what He or She will or must do. You are welcome to submit your suggestions, that is what makes this community fly. You are not welcome to demand of anyone how you want their creation to manifest.

The Rules and FAQ do that. Not you.

Of course, if starting a faction, a person can only have one planet. That's in the rules. How long that entity has existed or how is not up to you to decide or enforce, nor is it within your domain to dictate how many starships or other imaginary assets that faction may have. If there are gross errors, such as in the example above (and through-out this thread) you are welcome to suggest what you think may be a wiser course of action.

Obviously this is an extreme case, so some exceptions must be allowed for. I appreciate that everyone is getting a bit excited about all this, but let's not give our newest member the wrong impression; let's not meet his mistakes and errors with misjudments of our own.

Understood?
