Endgame: The Dark Side of Democracy (TNSO, TJO) #4

Malice continued to walk through the burning city. Then suddenly, rain began to fall. Looking up into the sky, he stared right into the inky blackness. Not letting the rain drops bother him as they stung his eyes.

*Where are you? how could you have deserted me*

Malice was lost. For the first time in a very longtime he was without the force. This made him feel lost. Still he continued walking. Stopping when he noticed familiar faces. Two being Lupercus, and Tavarii. The other's being Gash, and what looked to be Maim.

Walking up beside his fellow sith, Malice called out to Gash.

*You @#%$...what have you done to me? You damned jedi*

All those around him would easily notice Malice was without a force presense.....or rather, a darkside presense. But as angry as he was, his emotions quickly became bewildered when he saw Maim standing next to Gash.

*Maim what are you doing? He is a jedi. Why do you side with him? Whatever happened to the all powerful dark lord of the sith*

He knew without the darkside to aid him.....he would be a sitting duck to the jedi.

"Come now pet."

He pulled out his blaster, winging the man. The wounded mans screams put his mind a peace. Lupercus smiled, his hand reached up behind him to stroke her face as the wheelchair rolled gently.

"Theres still some sport to be had..."

He trailed off as another incediary device was tossed into a nearby building. He feigned a smile, then sagged back into the chair.

"You know, you're right. Lets get off this ro..."

He stopped as rain started to fall around him gently, then with abandon. He howled as he saw a building slowly stop burning, the others still flaming despite the sleet.

"They've stopped our fun. Those bloody ponces have put out one of my flames..."

He growled.

"Lets see if we can do some more damage.

My yacht is hidden in the forrest? Shall we find it my sweet?"

Zeta felt the presence of his apprentice draw near, and for some reason, this only fueled the Sith's fire for revenge.

The force drew to his hands, as energy was drawn to his fingertips, sparks of kenetic energy forming.

His sights were settled on Jensen, but he had not failed to notice that Kenshin had found his way onto the premises as well.

He addressed his apprentice first.

"Do as you wish, you seem to have no problem with doing what you want any other time..."

He had warned his apprentice not to leave the ship, and yet here he now stood. Zeta had half expected his apprentice to disobey him.

His gaze darted away from Jensen, snapping to look to Kenshin.

"Ah, come to join the party, have we? Good, though I am afraid it's going to be a rather short party. We'll do some dancing, and then some sleeping..."

He inclined his head toward Amalia.

"...like your Jedi friend over there..."

Jensen’s gaze now squarely on Zeta pretty much told it all. He stood unmoving before the two sith before him.

He then raised both his arms in anticipation waiting for the oncoming attack.

“What’s the matter, what are you waiting for? Don’t tell me you’re afraid of a …simple padawan?”

He stood looking at the two closer now, Zeta obviously becoming impatient.

He then spoke again as he looked down at Amalia.

“Ah yes, you need us both alive, we are no good to you dead are we?”

He then looked back at Zeta, feeling better she was at the very least still alive.

He then frowned, and spoke slowly…

“....you were expecting someone else.”

Jensen smiled lightly, although he hadn’t had much to smile about today. But he knew it would get to Zeta.

“You’ve undoubtedly have become a victim of your own scheme it seems.”

Jensen paused as he spotted Kenshin, he nodded slowly in his direction. He then turned his attention back to Zeta and his apprentice -- obviously relieved of Kenshin’s presence at the moment.

“That’s the problem with you Sith…when you aren’t fighting amongst yourselves you are willfully attacking anything else that moves. And when a situation comes along that requires a little tact and patience.” He smiled “The hatred and anger you willfully court fails you time and time again. When will you Sith ever learn?”

He turned his attention to his apprentice.

“I wouldn’t be to keen to attack at the moment”

He looked back at Zeta and motioned to the Sith.

“If you do..." Jensen's eyes now squarly on Zeta

"You fail your master it seems.”

He looked back at the two Sith before him. His gaze this time very serious and he promised himself he wouldn’t leave Amalia’s side this time. He looked over at Kenshin as he sat down on the log.

It was now a waiting game to see just who made the first move…

Kenshin admired his fellow padawan's speaking skills with a slight grin. Though it was a pretty little speech, Jensen only understood the negative half of the deal. To truely know you enemy, you needed to understand how he thought. Zeta and Han were obviously Sith so they must see something in the darkside that they thought outweighted the cons.

He also liked Jensen's approach in trying to make them second think themselves. But he needed to go deeper, shake a few morals.

The only problem was he couldn't think of any right now and all he could do was stand waiting beside the other padawan keeping an eye on the Sith. He mentally cursed at himself for loosing his tab on Master Amalia.

"How does it feel, Kenshin? To know that i was once a respected member of the jedi order. The moment i left with Gash Jiren, my journey began. That night in Tatooine, when i kiled Darth Brimstone, my own twin brother in cold blood, my path grew stronger. Fear the darkside, Boy. Fear it, becasue you WILL die by it." Han laughed out loud, stalking his prey lightly a maniacal grin on his face.

"I am the cat, you are the mouse. Soon i will find you, and kill you, young padawans." Han laughed again, glancing at his master and getting a disaproving look.

"Master i know you told me to stay back, but i couldn't resist. This was too good of an opportunity to pass up."

OOC: CRAP CRAP CRAP... this is Han.

A soft, plaintive moan eminated from her as she pushed him through the streets and back towards the trees beyond the city limits. The rain splattered against her face and she pulled up the hood of her robes, frowning all the while.

" We grow bored! It is plain who has won this day, Lupercus, must we persist? Those fool Jedi will not spare you should they cross our paths again, and nor would their spare us."

Her hand rested on his shoulder a moment before sliding over his chest as she leaned in to whisper in his ear. " We are no coward, but why waste our time and energies here when there are other ways to entertain ourselves?"

The roving eyes of Gash Jiren finally fell upon Lupercus, barely standing and accompanied by his Sith friend. Instantly, Diete also became aware of it, a web of consciousness having been weaved between the two.

But, simultaneously, another blip appeared on the infinite radar of the Rogue Jedi Master's consciousness; that of Han Skywalker, returned from the dead and his vigor for the dark side renewed. Gash instantly set off towards that great disturbance in the Force, leaving Diete to deal with the retreating Lupercus.

Through the Force, Gash's voice echoed, "Back again, are we, Han? And ready to betray the Light Side yet more?"

Knowing that Han was once a respected member of the Jedi Order didn't bother him. Master Amalia's body laying on the ground beside him was evidence that even the best could fall.

Kenshin studied Han. He had gotten stronger since that last time they met. He remembered their last encounter. He had only gotten away because Han had spared him. Whether that was an intentional good deed or not, it still was a good deed.

Maybe there still was a light somewhere inside of him...?

Kenshin shrugged. If he was to be the mouse than so be it. But this little mouse was fueled with a purpose to protect and a strong will to live.

Whatever small amount of patience the Lord had previously had within himself, now undoubtedly ceased to exist as anger creased his face.

Zeta had heard every pitiful word that bound forth from Jensen's lips, but having become increasingly irritated, he cared not to respond with a rebuttal.

....Frustration mixed in with irritation, the Sith Lord gritted his teeth as he spoke.

"What is it you want, Jedi?"

His plans had been spoiled....
