Endgame: The Dark Side of Democracy (TNSO, TJO) #4

On a speeder bike, moving through the forests of Naboo, wasn't the easiest of tasks. And Jensen, started to wonder if it was prudent of him to do so. He spent the entire night in a dangerous game of cat and mouse with the various sith at the academy. Leia of course, intertwined in her own battles no less. Was no where to be found, so his next stop was deep within the forests of Naboo...his master Kahn's home.

He knew what he needed, he needed answers and Kahn he felt, was the one to give them to him. But some distance away, to his right he saw a unconscious figure he couldn't quite make out in the shadows. Perhaps it was in his best interest to investigate.

He maneuvered the speeder toward the figure but stopped some distance away. He knew that this may be a trap and he needed to be cautious.

As he moved closer he noticed a lightsaber on the ground below a tree he bent over and picked it up as he slowly looked over at the mysterious figures direction.

This is too peculiar he thought.

He slowly made his way over to the mysterious figure. Who was obviously a lady he'd never met. He wondered if she was dead or was just knocked out, as he was checking for a pulse, he then raised his head as he heard movement in the nearby bushes....

He was not alone.....

...Out Zeta stepped, the Zabrak saying nothing at first as he looked onto, what he had observed by the force presence, to be a padawan learner.

"My, brave aren't we?"

The padawan turned to Zeta, no fear edged its way onto Jensen's face.

"Yes, it appears so. I suggest you remove that weapon from your hand before I remove it for you, young one...."

The Zabrak stood, his stance relaxed and controlled, very surprising for a Sith, but Zeta wasn't like most Sith.

"...What brings you about this way?"

The Zabrak laughed.

"I trust it is not to rescue this poor excuse of a Jedi Master you see lying before you. For you see, she's already quite gone..."

Jensen studied Zeta closely and quietly, every movement the sith made. He was too calm, his lightsaber not even drawn, what was he up to?

He dropped the saber on the ground as Zeta instructed....after a long pause he spoke, in a calm voice.

"What brings me out here is of no consequence." He watched every movement Zeta made.

After the reference Zeta made of a Jedi Master He looked down...and he pieced it together, as he closed his eyes.

He knew who she was now...

He looked off in disbelief and with that -- looking determined. He slowly made his way toward Zeta.

The Jedi Master had been "resting"(so to speak) for over forty-five minutes, her body looking about as peaceful as it could ever be.... Except for her eyes...

Zeta laughed, amused once more.

"You Jedi amuse me so..."

With a simple motion of his arm, Zeta motioned to Amalia.

"...I suppose I should let you know that she wanted to go. I was...merely doing her a favor."

A sinister smile reached the Lord's lips.

"She didn't even bother to fight it, pity, she made it not much of a challenge..."

The Zabrak's eyes quickly darted back to Jensen.

"...I see you did not take heed to my warning. You have much to learn. Brave and curious, both weaknesses to you."

Still unmoving, he narrowed his eyes at the padawan; the Jedi continued to advance upon Zeta.

"Very well, so be it..."

With Zeta's complete concentration placed on Jensen, the Jedi soon found himself being lifted violently off of the ground.

"Petty Jedi! I have no means to waste my time with you!"

Jensen's body, being carried violently through the air, flew backwards, the padawan being tossed about as if he weighed nothing.

With a thud, he landed roughly beside Amalia, his body falling almost at a perfect angle to align with Amalia, allowing him to see the Jedi Master's lifeless eyes....

Zeta's voice entered Jensen's mind, his voice demanding.

Tell me what you see....

*Han stumbled out of the ship, making his way to his master's position, slowly and weakly at first, but beginning to regain his strength. He felt Amalia's presence fluxuate and then disappear. He laughed out loud, lightly and grinned.*

"One pillar gone. One to go. The jedi will fail this day."

As Han said these words, he came upon his master, and a padawan.

"Ohhh Ohh a jedi! can i kill it, master? please can i kill it?" Han grinned speaking almost in childlike tones.

BOOM!

Was the last thing Chikami heard as the roof he was standing on exploded up from beneath him. Falling in a heap upon the floor below him the ceiling came down to smite him again and then the walls proceeded to follow the ceilings example. Now quite unhappily encased in duracrete and durasteel Chikami falls unconcious.

-/| Nightmare |\-

Chikami began to fall, deeper and deeper into darkness. Reaching out nothing was around to slow him but the ground never came either. No light, no sound, nothing. Within the gravityless vacuum Chikami couldn't even tell whether he was upside down or not.

Gradually the inky blackness changed into a deep crimson red. Then a flash of orange, yellow, blue, and finally everything went black again.

The strange falling feeling stopped but it still did not feel as if he was staning on anything. Although it did feel as if he was standing correctly now. Again the blackness faded to that deep crimson color.

Finally the silence was broken but not in any way Chikami had hoped for. Voices some he recognized, some he didn't began to taunt him.

"Your not good enough."

"You'll never have that kind of power."

"You have been banished. Watch out for the Rancors! *high-pitched laughter* "

The voices continued for what seemed like an eternity and Chikami found that his own voice wouldn't even send back a rebuttal. Eons passed, the voices stopped but the blackness returned.

Two old warriors swept down upon the city.

Theed had begun burning, buildings dissolving under a torment of fire yielded to Sith assault. But, heedless, and with speed and force unseen, two old warriors swept down upon the city. Standing amongst the flames, they bore no intimidation from the blizzard of flame.

Above the city, the crack of thunder and lightning exploded in a maelstrom of energy, as the two Jedi focused their strength upon it. Water condensed into droplets, and from that suddenly darkened sky, came rain which quenched the near-insatiable thirst of many of the flames. Suddenly, the destruction and chaos of the city was calmed and silenced.

"Let's get this over with -- once and for all." Gash said quietly; quietly, and yet the tone quavered across the city. He turned to his left slowly.

Diete nodded his agreement.
* * * * *

"Yoda..." Gash said, and yet, the little sprite said nothing. Only staring at the mortified Diete.

"...the lie you live resonates deep through the Force, my brother.

Diete Somir, Jedi Master, stood beside his brother once more. The time had come to return to his roots. To return to the path he was born to. To undo all that Palpatine had done to him, as he had to so many others.

His energies helped to created and multiply the storm until the rain came down in sheets. He looked to his brother..

"Let this end, here and now."

* * * * *

Diete stared mortified at Yoda then Gash. His mind torn in different directions.

"No, this can't be happening. Not now.. now when things were finally coming together!"

Jensen hit the ground with a violent crash, and he found himself looking directly at Amalia...and Zeta’s voice intruded in his mind.

Tell me what you see.... Zeta said in his mind.

There Jensen lyed, looking into Amalia’s eyes. He could see helplessness, sorrow, hatred and a feeling of failure…

Jensen paused….so much sadness was still within those eyes, and it was so hard to look at,there was pain, terrible pain, yet.

There was something else no Sith could ever see, or would even want to.

There was hope…

Jensen still breathing hard from his fall, he raised his head slightly and swallowed hard, his gaze unwavering from Amalia, and he spoke.

“You wanna know what I see? I see a wonderful person whose happiness was lost, and who was looking for somewhere to turn.

But regardless of what she may have felt…I can say she failed no one, and had she lived she would have found her happiness again, that much I know. And you wanna know why? Because she was more then just a Jedi, there was more to her then you could ever know Sith. And believe me; you could never take that away from her.”

Jensen then stumbled to his feet, as he slipped on Amalia’s saber slightly…

Or had he? As the lightsaber rolled over to Amalia’s side…

Jensen used the log for leverage for a few seconds, stood up straight as he closed his eyes as he breathed in hard. And another Sith appeared…

He then opened his eyes and looked the two Sith over…watching them quietly.

Kenshin felt Master Amalia's Force signature become still and that feeling sat in his gut like a stone. Seeing that Ky-Vin had the wounded padawans taken care of and that the two mysterious Jedi Masters had quenched the flames, Kenshin ran to find Master Amalia's body.

The Force aided him in his speed and as he neared the site, he felt the presence of a fellow padawan and two Sith. Strong darksiders.

He wondered what he was getting himself into this time. But he knew he couldn't leave a fellow padawan to fend against two fully trained Sith by himself.
