Kamon stood and followed her outside just because he was curious. He'd met the girl before, back when he went to rescue Jade. But he didn't really know who she was. Standing on the ramp he just watched the two of them.

Amethyst Night, Empress of the soon-to-be-rebuilt SummerWind in Fire City, stepped out of the YT-1300 her mother had given her 4 years earlier, having named it Drako's Star, after her father, whom she missed often.

She waves her hand about, obviously displeaded.

"This mother. This is the disgrace. Father left you...you...Dameo and BDE, and you lost them! If father were alive today, you would be buried in the rose garden, not him."

Jade pinched the bridge of her nose with her left hand and sighed.

"Amethyst, weve been over this before, and it does not please me to say it again."

"So were just gonna turn tail and run? Not fight for whats rightfully ours?"

"You know damned well, Ame, that I am tired of fighting for whats right. I did that with Kaga, and remember what happened there. You and your father's spirit had to save my body and spirit, all because I was dead! No thanks to Tenchu. I am so tired of fighting that I let Tenchi have Iga, and Tenchu have Kaga, and even Raktus have BDE and Dameo.

I am tired of fighting, and you know it. I am not willing to die a Final Death for this. If your father wants me to have Dameo and BDE back bad enough, then you raise him from the dead and have him retrive it.

I still have Luclin, and I will get Iga and Kaga back, because both your uncles have turned up missing. Now, if thats all you have to say, I have work to do."

"Youre a coward, mother. Always was, always will be."

Jade's temper snapped at that moment. Her back was turned from Ame as she was walking away, but stopped at being called a coward.

Her left leg lifts up off the ground and her booted foot hits Ame square in the jaw, sending her flying back. Oh, but Jade doesnt stop there, oh no, not while her temper is flaring.

Jade picks her up by her hair and runs forwards, then drops down, slamming Ame's face into the dirt. She rolls the girl over and Force slams her into a huge boulder, surely breaking something. She walks over to her daughter once more.

"Now you know what Kitano felt when he was beaten to within an inch of his life, but youre beating wasnt nearly as bad. And once again, youve made me break a promise to your father that I would never hurt my children like this, whether biological or adopted, they would never get beaten like this.

"So a word to the not-so-wise. Think twice before calling your mother a coward."

Jade walks away again, back to the Kamon, then stops when she sees the look of horror on his face. Bloody tears well up in her eyes and she takes off running, down towards another secret hidaway, but this one on the beach.

Kamon watched her run away but felt he had to take care of Amethyst first. The woman was lying face down in excruciating pain and Kamon went over to her. Kneeling down next to her, he gently turned her over and examined her wounds.

"Try to stay still."

Placing his hands over the wounds, het let the Force flow through him and into her. The wound sbegan to heal from his touch and after a little while it was done. SHe would still be weak though, so he gently lifted her up and carried her inside Jade's ship where he laid her on a cot.

"Don't move."

Kamon ran out of the ship and down the way Jade had gone. He caught up with her before she got to wherever she was going and he turned her around. There were tears all over her eyes and he pulled her into his arms and let her cry on his shoulder.

Pretty soon from all her crying, Jade had pretty much left Kamon looking like he was stabbed or something, as her tears were bloody. Not all the time, just times when she was really upset, like this.

"Everything I do, she calls me a disgrace for. She's just like her father, always critisizing the things I do. I do what I think it right, while he taught her how to do things for power.

She just doesnt...understand...anything."

"She doesn't understand yet that power isn't the greatest of things."

He gently rubbed her back as she continued to cry on his shoulder. Amethyst had been healed and was likely resting back in the ship. She didn't really know him all that well, but maybe he should talk to her about things.

"Maybe I should talk to her."

"You can try."

He kissed the top of her head.

"I will later. Right now she's resting. You beat her up rather badly. She needs that rest."

He gave her a squeeze.

All Jade does is nod and swallows hard, trying to get rid of the lump in her throat.

"Perhaps I should rest too."

She begins walking back to her ship for that rest.

Kamon followed along beside her.

"Are you going to be alright? You aren't looking very good and frankly I think you should sleep some too. Not just rest. Sleep."

Back in her quarters, having taken a sleeping pill, Jade was laying on her bed with Sumohn and Moonlite at her feet. It was obvious that her panther and wold pup worried about her too.

"Yes. Sleep sounds nice."

Sleep during the night for a vampyre was rare, even for one like Jade, who was always active, from sunset to sunrise.
