"As the last Force user in your family, and in line for your death. I Know."

Kamon looked a little sad at his padawans line of thought. it was grim way to think.

"You shouldn't think that way. I won't allow you to die. Trust me thats the last thing I'll let happen. Your my padawan and freind, Jace. Nothing can come between us."

I gave what I could of a smile, and even I could tell that it was pathetic and half hearted at best. My eyes sang sorrow, but I knew we were going to be at Ossus shortly, and I wanted to get those out in the open before then,

"I thank you for that, Kam. I really do."

My weak smile faded from my face, and I turned back to the window.

"But what happens if it comes down to something like you having to choose between myself and Whisper? I appreciate it, Kam, but there is not a lot you can do in that situation, and I already know your answer."

Kamon did a double take on his padawans words.

"What are you talking about? Why would I ever have to choose between you and Whisper?"

Kamon was perplexed. His Padawan wasn't making any sense at all. It was extremely odd.

"By the time you face the Sith, you will be well trained in fighting technique. You will have nothing to fear."

I turned my face on him,

"Oh yeah! Are you so sure? What if the sith dropped us out of hyperspace right now with an Indictor cruiser? And there were 3 Sith Masters? What would we do then?"

I shook my head in frustration,

"Or if, one night back at TDY the Sith decide to attack, and kidnap Whisper and myself. Then, when you came to rescue us, you only had time to save one of us?"

I let out a sigh, that was little more then a hiss.

"You see? I cannot depend on people for anything. And I am afriad of the Force."

Kmaon looked down.

"I was afraid you would say that. The answer is that I don't know. As for Sith pulling us out of hyperspace, I could deal with that as long as you flew the ship."


He looked a little dejected at the prospect put before him. His heart was torn because he knew the answer. Mentally, he would die before either of them were taken.

I pressed my lips together, and then looked over at Kam, who was staring at the floor.

"Alright, that's ok. I already know the answer, and I don't blame you for it. And, I thank you on one level."

I turned to look out the window again, and tried to stop my breath from being so sporatic. I looked at the chrono.

"We'll be there in about an hour, Kamon. I am going to go make sure that there are no sensors on the ship, or something."

I knew that I had no idea how do find anything, but I had something to think about. Some serious things.

My career.....my place in the Force.....Jaina!!....Kamon........

Kamon was still looking at the floor as he nodded to Jace. His heart was racing. His mind thinking back to the recent events.

Whisper.... I will kill you Maim....Meschi......Jace.

His mind was so messed up. A tear trickled down his face and landed on the floor. His heart said one thing and his mind said the other. He was so confused.

Just as Kamon's tear hit the floor, a wave washed through the Force. It sent a shock through my body, and I lost my breath. I topple to the side of the diplomatic room wall, and then shook my head.

Kamon!

The sense had come from Kam, and I slammed the door open, and ran down the hall. I pushed the cockpit door open, and ran inside.

"Are you alright?! I felt something in the Force."

Kamon looked up and wiped the tear from his face.

"It's nothing. Emotions can lead to blasts in the Force. I was merely torn by past events."

He looked down.

"It's hopless Jace. Everytime a Sith is defeated, a new one rises up. It will be impossible to defeat them. If they aren't defeated then Whisper and the rest of the galaxy will never be safe. Such is our fate i guess."

I pressed my lips together, and looked as Kamon put his head back down. I sat down beside him, and pput my hand on his leg.

"Look, Kam. I promise that I will never let anything happen to you, I swear it! You are closer to me alright then everybody else in the galaxy. I mean it, Kam, really I do."
