A Price Ill Paid(open to friends of Kamon only)

I gave a lop-sided grin, and continued to walk. I knew that they both figured out that I was more then a little nervous, and that this was a new place for me.

"Well, thank you both, truely."

I let my iridescent blue and green eyes staring into Kamon's for a moment, sadness filling me. I knew this was something new for Kamon, and he had to deal with the loss and sudden reappearance of his love, Whisper. I shifted my gaze to the older Jedi master, not daring to read his mind. Instead, I sent him a Force message,

*If it's alright, I'd like to speak with you in private.*

Ade-Ay was caught on surprise when jacen sent Ade that message. He didn't even sense it coming. He looked down at Jacen and nodded slightly. There must be some way he can get Kamon to leave so he could talk to Jacen.

~Kamon.~ Ade said into the force. ~I believe your padawan wants to talk with me alone. Can you give us a second? It'll be real quick.~

Ade-Ay glanced at Kamon in the eyes, signaling to him to ghive them a second.

Kamon nodded. It seemed ok with him.

"That's fine. Matbe you can get him to open up. Anyway, I'm going over to where i left the Hope. I sent the shuttle back to Tholatin. If you need me, come find me."

He walked off to his hangar bay.

I followed Kamon's exit with my eyes only, not turning m head, and then when I was sure tht Kamon was gone and out of ear shot, I turned my eyes back to Ade. The older Jedi was more powerful then Kamon, I could feel it, but there seemed to be something under it all....

"I apologize for the rather informal way I requested the talk, but I couldn't really think of anything else."

I looked around the room for a quick second, and noted a table, and a few chairs. Motioning towards them, I walked over to take a seat.

"It's just that I don't know if Kamon is ready for an apprentice. I strongly believe that that he is capable with an apprentice that....how do I put it?...Doesn't have so many issues?"

I tried to keep the uncertainty from my eyes, but I knew ir\t was folly at best. I didn't know all of what Kamon had told Ade, but I had a feeling that it was a lot, the two seemed to be close.

"Jacen..." Ade said sitting down. "He is a Jedi Master. He has some issues, yes. But in time they will dissipate. Give your masetr a chance. It's his first time after all. Kamon is a man of his word, he will pay attention to you. If he's not around ask someone else for help if you need it. Eventually he'll come around... if hasn't yet. The main thing is just to give it time. The problems will solve themselves. I promise."

Ade smiled, knowing Jacen may not understand now... but will.

"Everything requires time. Especially this."

I folded my hands in front of my lips, and pressed them close to my face. I peered over with my eyes, watching the man's lips as he spoke, and then shifted my gaze to his eyes.

"I suppose you are right, it's just that I think he deserves better then me. I have a lot of things to deal with, and they are things that I doubt he should have to bother with. He has had to deal with Sith, and Whisper...it's just that.."

I let my voice trail off, and then told Ade about what happened on the ship, from start to finish.

"You see?"

"Yes Jacen, I realize where you've come from. I know how hard it is, relate his problems to yourself... don't you and your sister have some problems between each other? They will solve for themselves. Like I said I can't do anything but encourage you to stay with him. He'll come around. He just needs a little time. Patience is one major thing you'll learn from this."

Ade-Ay patted Jacen on the shoulder.

"I think I'll leave you alone now... to give you some time to think. Like I said, he'll come around..."

Ade-Ay walked out the door with a grin. He could tell jacen was really confused and even nervous from coming here. Ade hated to pry into peoples lives, so he always stayed out of them... and trying to give the best advice he can from his past experiences.

I watched as the man walk away, and I let my eyes fall to the ground after he left my eye sight. He's right, you know Jace? He knows what Kamon is like, they have been friends for longer than I know.

I looked around the area, I knew that Kamon had not gone far, and I knew also that he would probably come to see me after he realized that Ade had left. So, it was all I couold do to bude my time while I waited.

Kamon had been checking over the Hope's hull. He wanted to make sure there weren't any bugs or other unwanted devices on the hull. It was clean, so he left it alone.

Just about that time, he felt his Padawan standing alone while Ade was walking away. Deciding he should check on Jace, he headed in his direction. Rounding a corner, he came face to face with him.

"Hey, Jace. What's new?"

I turned to face Kamon, my eyes exploring his face for any hint of anger of frustration at the fact that I had asked to talk withe Ade privately. I didn't know how it went in the Rogue Jedi Order, but I had needed to alk to a friend of Kamon's.

"Nothing, Kam, nothing at all really. I was actually starting to get bored."
