You shake your head with the silliness of it, being afraid of a little bit of inky darkness! You step north, into the spacious room. The floor creaks again as you step over the threshold. It looks like you can go in any direction.

Stepping forward hesitantly, you move out on the thick carpeting. Each footstep generates a small cloud of dust at your feet. In the far distant north you can barley see what appears to be a window, to your nothing but inky blackness greets the light of your flashlight. While sweeping the flashlight to the west, you jump as a blob of white pops out at you.

With a cry of Up Up and AWAY! You leap into the sky, and meet the floor. How foolish of you, that's Superman's motto!

You act on pure reflex, whipping your flashlight at the white blob. It is a good throw, striking the menacing creature square in the chest. The white blob does nothing, and your flashlight falls into its lap.
