Let's keep it above the belt, folks.

I think that the member in question has enough information here to get the point, or at least, suspect one. So, that done, let's be nice and mature(ish) shall we?

Now that the injury has been diagnosed the healing can begin. So, rather then picking feathers... Anyone here willing to, oh I dunno, help the new kid?

We all started somewhere and didn't get to where we are today without some help and the first person to post a negative comment following this one, lacking in any sort of constructive critisism, will find just how harsh I can be when hypocrites sing soprano.

Again, I'm busy... at work. Else I would take more time to adress the issue and try to come up with a solution, so while I'm away and busy, let's see some of you lovers get your brains jumpstarted and say something helpful?

And, to Mr/Mrs Sanyo; I will be forwarding an email/PM to you, in private, as soon as I have a moment to compose my thoughts. I think you are a very skilled writer with a lot more potential the some of these ingrates displayed at their beginnings; so please do not loose hope. We will help you to fit in, if you want it.

Thank you, and please, not hurt feelings.

He (Mr/Mrs Sanyo) definately has far more potential than I first hard. Never, ever, ever read IFF's takeover of Teth. Or TNO's attack on Teth for that matter.

*shudders at both memories*

Okay, obviously polite hasn't worked. I was polite. I pointed out flaws and stuff as politely as I could. But you still won't fucking listen you little anime piece of shit. Patience has been frayed by you and your ignoring the rest of the board as we have been trying, God knows why, to help you as best we can. But you still. Keep. Fucking. Going.

There have been threads, PMs, and things done in the obvious to show how the veterans of the community feels about your retarded race and it's piece of shit story. So allow me to say this now.

If you continue on this course, there WILL be a ban coming.

Even us non-admins see it coming.

So stop.

Just stop, take a breath, and use that little anime pea of a brain you have and fucking think for a moment.

That is all.

Here's the thing:

While you have some great and interesting ideas, there are two fundamental flaws with them.

1) They are totally impractical. As has been said, you cannot edit canon at will to such a great extent. A massive Empire could never have existed alongside the Republic or Empire without any mention of it being made. Likewise, multiple invasions of the scale you describe would never have been simply "forgotten".

Han Solo, as has been said, is Corellian, and you cannot simply change his ancestry to suit your story. We do not (generally) change the stories of major canon characters for our own ends. This is not to say you cannot use canon characters, but they are few and far between, and are nearly always roleplayed (only as necessary) by experienced, veteran roleplayers - not rookies. The reasons for this should be obvious.

Simply put, there is no feasible way to work the history you've described into the Star Wars canon.

For a description of canon, click here.

Aside from the historical impossibility of the events you've described, there's also a very real problem with the liklihood of them happening. Your Empire could have "easily crushed" the New Order, and they hate the New Order, but instead they decided to voluntarily shrink and do nothing about TNO?

Unlikely, to say the least. Your history needs some serious rethinking just to fit into the SW universe, never mind the TRF galaxy (which leads me to my next point).

2) They do not fit into the TRF continuity. We are currently set ~45 years after Revenge of the Sith. Our history begins roughly where the Black Fleet Crisis ends off.

Simply put, you cannot insert a major galactic Empire into the midst of this time line and say "no one ever noticed it". It does not work, for a number of reasons I will not get into. Suffice to say, it is impossible.

For more information on the history of the TRF galaxy, see our time line.

It also does not fit in with the rules of our community. You should read over all of them carefully before going any further, but make a note of this one:

Groups can own planets. A group can own (or control) an unlimited amount of planets. Planets are captured by writing a role-play of at least 5000 words and then posting in the Planets List to claim said planet. Planets give Groups Assets (see below) that can be used in various methods.
You see, if you wish to start a group called 'The Great Atlantean Empire, you can do so. But in order for it to be an Empire spanning worlds on TRF, you have to develop it on TRF. You need to write 5000 words for each planet in your Empire (though you can say that planets are within your 'sphere of influence', this is not quite the same, as power is measured in part by the number of planets you own, as opposed to influence).

You should also keep in mind this rule:

It should also be noted that the days of massive fleets consisting of hundreds and hundreds of ships is long gone. In your writing remember that building a single Star Destroyer could very easily drain the entire resources of a single planet, or system even.
So having multiple, 25-kilometre ships, is a big no-no.

If you have any other questions, there are plenty here that would be happy to answer them. Just ask, and don't assume things.

And read the rules carefully and make sure you understand them. If you don't, ask!

Wow, a first. Irtar getting pissed and swearing a lot, but Demos being helpful, kind and nice.

That being said, my best advise it to pay careful attention to Demos's post, it covers the basics. And in a nice way as well.
