Sorry, went out dancing instead. Almost built up the courage to dance with a girl, didn't quite work. Chronic sneezing fits didn't help any, in fact, it assured me my own personal space of about ten feet in all directions.
Anyways, on topic, regardless of how the line is positioned, that's not the issue. The front of the line is firing on Tynna, right? That meanst the Astrus, right? So that means it's gotta be at least pretty close. If it's pretty close, then that means when the shield goes up it's going to be really close - not crashy-close, like I thought, but certainly 'look out!' close. If you're that close, and heading straight for the shield, then of course your line's going to have to break up, or you'll smash into it.
My mind's not quite on this right now, so I hope that all made sense. I'm still a little distracted from the events of the day, and to be honest, am preoccupied dreading tomorrow and various other small worries.
That reminds me, Telan, this whole 'reinforcements' shtick - didn't we start off with even fleets, and agreed to make it a contest of skill, but when I started arguing with you that we wouldn't be lambs to the slaughter you then got upset and declared some back-up force on the way? The only reason you weren't simply overwhelmed by a large force around Tynna, supported with a regular shield and planetary weapons is because I originally acquiesced to an equal competition. The shield shouldn't be so upsetting - after you got to call in your reinforcments, I get to deploy mine.
Shields reach usually into the upper atmosphere/extremely low orbit. But not at any range where a ship outside of your atmosphere will likely be clipped by them.
You first. Not out of any misguided belief on my part that I am involved in the IC thread, but because you're being an arrogant asshole. There is no reason to treat a request from Dolash and a request from any other member of this board any differently - and yet you do so.
At the very least be even-handed in your judgement.
I did offer my opinion on a couple of key issues, and did little more than reiterate them (as you should note, given its merely a quote from my previous post). I have not attempted to argue any further than that, and after leaving my thoughts left it to the discretion of those involved and the staff to sort out any further problems.
Not that I have any need to defend myself, because I was asked to offer my opinion by an involved roleplayer. If you are going to brush off a request from a TNO member as a "cop out", then Dolash's request is an equal cop out to prevent his position from being weakened (I take the liberty of assuming that my thoughts weaken his argument).
This is not a matter of whether I belong/want to be a part of this discussion, it's a matter of you being completely biased in your recognition of the requests of TRF's members.
(Feel encouraged to split this from the main thread - if you have anything to say you can do so via PM or what have you)
I have on numerous times BACKED TNO when Vonta/Kamon has gotten into your OOC threads for no reason, and that is conveniently forgotten in times like these. Also slipping by the wayside is that DesmothenesX is the perenial interrferance man, jumping in everyone's threads and takeovers and then throwing a fit and threatening to wipe out the rest of the galaxy when anyone does the same. So, no, I won't shut up, and if you won't, that's fine. It's just another brick in the wall, frankly, but know this; the time where TRF considers a temporary ban a detterant to your being a prick whenever you fucking want is long over.
