New Rule Discussion
Hey that's funny Gue because I didn't see you doing any of this stuff. Could it be you really are talking out of your ass?
Or the fact only one Death Star existed while I've roleplayed here... and whats that... oh wait... Yes, Yes I did participate in that. IDTech teams were inside the Death Star in that thread that led to its destruction. Id also mention I've talked to the staff many many times in the past discussing possible RP ideas as well as techs that could be used in an rp setting. No, my ass is quite silent on this one.
Yeah. It's not like Chadd didn't blow his own Death Star up or anything...
Oh for goodness sake, we made these new rules to CUT DOWN on the arguing. There's no need for such hostility, really.
Kraken, don't worry, I'm sure the rules don't restrict you from doing what you want, it's just trying to clarify that when it comes to combat, keeping an up-to-date roster of your ships and tracking production is now not allowed, since it will cause the number-game to return to TRF. You are free to do anything you want in the way of naming important ships, giving rough estimates of size, calling out individual ships or groups of ships in battle, and the like, but there is to be no precision in your overall fleet size. If you want a little skirmish between your dozen fighters and an enemy corvette, that's fine, no one will call foul for using numbers, but we just ask not to keep track of all the ships you have, or track them for the big battles and don't expect numbers to be a factor in determining who wins. This means people focus more on ideas then numbers.
And about being able to do anything in the old rules, the thing was, because of the mindset people had they didn't want to lose anything and so although "In Theory" a fighter could kill the death-star, no way would the the other guy stand for it because of the meter cost and wait time.

*waves on his way out*
*Waves back*
Ok then. I'm pretty sure I understand what is and what is not allowed now. Thanks for the clarification Dolash.

I wasn't just talking about Death Stars. They get made once in a blue moon. I was talking about everyday RPing that you participated in.
I nominate Dolash for Jesus (seeing as how Omnae is already God... or Zod... or whatever).
I can not certainly post a reference to my day to day roleplaying where I consistantly solve problems in the rules via creative roleplay becuase there has never been a problem in the rules that had not previously led to a slight amendum or otherwise been worked through. Had there been a problem with the previous rules, then I can frankly state that I was blissfully unaware of it.
