I'll be a sport and buy.

I wonder what I can force them to count on their manifest next?

Oooo! I know! I'll make the diameter of each planet they own count against their meterage!

This is so fun!

Piss off Ahnk

Ok, I will do a quick count and see if TNO has busted it's meterage. Suprisingly, not likely, considering the latest counts......

I'm down to being only 43,000 meters over.

Arg.

Ouch.

I read this post an nearly fell from my chair.

I never thought I'd see the day when TNO came running about being over meterage...... but I have seen their planetary defense manifest.

*Shudders*

So, hypothetically, what do we do if we're over meters (haven't checked yet but I will.)

Just start scraping?

Scrap, or take planets.

Or do nothing and realize that all builds henceforth are illegal and your assets util rectified are legally non-existant.

Yes, Brutus, you either have to take enough planets to cover yourself (only possible if you have just a little overflow) or start dropping things off your list.

Ok, Brutus brought this up to me on AIM. Do mines really count?
Construction yards build mines (mines can only be under 4 meters) at 5,000 per day. 50,000 is the maximum amount of mines which can surround any one planet.

I would argue that mines don't count toward your meter limit. Otherwise, that last sentence is completely retarded, and should be struck from the rules. If someone wants to splurge 50k meters on mines, he can help himself.

I agree. Mines are supposed to be a poor mans way of defending a planet:

You slap a laser cannon or a bit of explosives in a shell and put it in orbit. I garuntee no one (besides maybe TNO) will have the excess meterage to build any significant or useful number of mines.

I can understand shields and the like being large consumers of maitenence, but making mines suck up thousands of meters is in my opinion absurd.
