Well, consider this a friendly warning. Groups that elect not to follow this rule and continue to build as if it did not exist have a void manifest, and thus will have no legally recognized ships.

Suggestion: Why don't you just let everyone have what they currently have and start from here, counting the meters?

I know I for one would rather roleplay than do math. In fact I'd rather do anything than math.

Because, while we're all moaning and groaning, it really does make sense to have this limit.

It forces you to choose between keeping a husky defense system, with a weak fleet, or vice versa.

No ship was ever seen in the Anthos region again, as well, no ship has ever been able to land on their worlds since....

For some groups, that would require roughly two and a half million words worth or planets. Assuming you can do a 5000 word takeover every 5 days by the rules, it would take almost five months of solid writing to get caught up to date. During that time, if attacked by a group with a legal manifest (such as myself), their ships would not legally exist and they would be at the mercy of the attacking group and the staff.
