Leia blinked, unable to think of anything else to do for a moment.
<!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> That was an abrupt end to a rather involved conversation..<!--EZCODE ITALIC END-->
She looked over at the datacards.
"No, we can deal with those later"
She grabbed a pillow from the foot of the couch and flopped it down over top of the datacards.
"There... much better.
So, is there anything around here you'd like to go see this evening? It's almost dinner time, I do believe..."
Leia glanced around, looking for the chrono, which seemed to have magically grown legs and moved on her. She finally spotted it and nodded, finding her guess was right.

Amalia caught her thoughts, though not meaning to, she had watched Leia go with silence for a moment.
That does happen sometimes...Didn't want to overstep my boundaries, I suppose.
Amalia shook her head.
"I can't really think of anywhere, but I'm happy to go anywhere you'd like to go."

"Ok. Well, ummmm...."
Leia drew a blank, decided to pursue the accidental silent conversation instead. She sat up and caught Amalia's gaze.
"And overstepping your 'boundaries'? Dear Amalia, you were far from it...
Perhaps the word to describe you isn't uncomfortable, it's hesitant."

Amalia gave Leia a blank stare, the silence between them hung, something she had become used to, though she did not like it. However, she accepted the silence because, simply, Amalia did not know how to communicate, and she was not going to pretend that she could communicate.
So no, she was not hesitant, just lost, confused. Amalia was shy and reserved, and just did not click well with others, because her shyness always seemed to overtake her. She knew not to be anything else, it was...who she was.
Her face grew soft, and she shook her head no. Leia could call it whatever she liked, but Amalia did not see it as hesitation, she saw it as a loss for words.
'I'm not a people person, Leia, I've never been. I stick to myself most of the time. I come to join in with people when they need me. I don't mingle well. I'm not one of those people you'd call the life of the party. Sometimes though, I wish I were."
She did not give a reason why, that would remain a mystery.
"So no, I'm not hesitant, I just don't know how to communicate. You know it to be true, look at how the trip has gone thus far. You've seen me try..each attempt...has failed in someway, shape, or form..."
The silence still remained, and Amalia nodded to Leia.
"So, ok then...there you have it..."

Leia shrugged.
"You don't have to be a people person to be sociable... just have to keep wandering, lost, till you see a light, perhaps. But... my words couldn't really hold any weight with you on this matter, I suppose."
She rolled off of the couch, but managed to land swiftly on her feet, and rose to a standing position.
"C'mon, we'll go wandering for a while until I get my bearings back and we can go somewhere purposefully."
Leia went rummaging around in her newly dropped off luggage pile until she located a light jacket, and slipping it on, she picked up her access card and an envelope on a table next to the entrance to the short hallway connecting the main room to the door. She briefly glanced into the envelope, nodded to herself, then tucked it under her arm.
"Well, come on!" She said lightly, and dissapeared out the door. Amalia followed, and Leia waited until Amalia had caught up with her before she continued.
Soon they were walking down a relatively busy Coruscant street, both were silent. Leia's eyes for a while were focused on the scenery, but as she was quite familiar with it, she soon turned her attention back to Amalia.
"Not quite like Theed, huh. Much... dirtier."

Amalia did not say anything for a while. She was contemplating a bit on Leia's words. She was a little surprised in fact by Leia's words.
She assumed that it was just Leia trying to break the silence. However, it was not on the top of Amalia's list to compare Theed over Corellia. She would rather be having more meaningful conversations.
"No, not at all like Theed, but..still nice."
She half smiled, half frowned.
She wanted to change the subject and so she did.
"Did you know anything about your mother, Leia? I mean, you're birth mother?"
She looked directly at Leia for a split second, and then looked back onto the street as she spoke again.
"Sorry, I don't mean to pry. I've never heard you speak of her, and I wonder, just as I'm sure there are some things you wonder about me."

OOC: Corellia, we're on Corellia, not Coruscant :)
Leia looked to her left, away from Amalia(who was on her right), and took a deep steadying breath. After a rather long moment she turned to look over at her again.
"I don't know much about her, really. She died when I was very young.... I have no real memories of her. Only feelings."
Leia stopped in front of an entrance to a middle rated looking cafe, then motioned Amalia in. As they stepped through the door, they found they were to seat themselves, and Leia ambled down onto the main floor.
"Well, funnily enough, you can find most all of my family history in any up to date historical archive, and even the holovid."
She grinned, selected a table for two, and sat down in one of the chairs.
"Yeah, how could I be so mysterious in such ways anyways, what with the media and all..."
She rolled her eyes at her own mention of the media.

OOC: Mmm, so now that we have that straight and fixed...

My turn to say..."Corellia, we're on Corellia, not Coruscant":b
IC: Amalia waited until Leia selected a seat first, and then she sat down from the seat across from Leia.
Amalia laughed lightly.
"Ah, you can always count on the media to tell a story..and a very interesting one at that.."
Amalia let her eyes wander away from the table for a split second or two, looking around at what her eyes could see.
"Rather busy place."
She slowly turned her head back to look at Leia who seemed to be looking around also, but then she felt that Amalia was looking at her once again and so she too was looking forward again.
Amalia found herself changing subject again.
"I remember, I told you of how I came to Naboo..."
Amalia seemed a bit puzzled.
"..But I never once thought to ask you of how you found yourself on Naboo. I did not ask a lot of things, things I did not ask then but wanted to, and so now I find myself trying to catch up. So..How did you find yourself on Naboo?"

OOC: LOL, sorry about that, my bad.
Leia looked thoughtful for a moment, then shrugged.
"I lived on Coruscant for a while, making political trouble quietly for the Imperials while also training a small handful of Jedi students. It was dangerous living, because the Imps had such a tight grip on Coruscant, and I knew I couldn't live that way forever.
Then one day my travels about Coruscant had me meet one by the name of Jedi Binks. He mentioned he had connections that could help me reinstate a Jedi Academy, and I agreed to go with him. He brought me here to Naboo.
And the rest, is history..."
She smiled, then nodded in acknowledgement to a serving droid that was serving them their drinks, a sly grin crept over her face.
"Much different from your story, huh"

Amalia's own memories drifted back as she thought of her old friend, Jedi Binks. She smiled on the inside, thinking of him, she had not seen him in a very long time. She silently wondered if she ever would.
Amalia smiled lightly.
"Yes...much..."
The serving droid rushed off in a hurry, seieng that there was another drink order to be made at a near by table.
Amalia noted how often Leia wanted to place any attention that was placed on her onto someone else. Well, at least she seemed to be doing it quite often with Amalia.
"..Why do you do that?"
Leia looked at her questionably, perhaps not understanding, a bit of curiousity crossing Leia's own face.
Amalia shrugged, not really quite knowing how to put it.
"You so easily turn the attention that is placed onto you, onto someone else. It is as if you want to push it away? Why?"
Amalia raised a hand, stopping her from speaking.
"Never mind, perhaps my observation is wrong. Though I'm not too much concerned with the answer of that question as I am of this one..."
She lowered her hand slowly, placing it back in her lap. She looked at Leia thoughtfully, silence followed for a moment before she asked the question.
"If you could pick one word to describe you best, what would it be?"
She watched as Leia looked at her. It was a look mixed with a hint of wonder and a little bit of surprise.
Amalia smiled softly, awaiting her answer.
