Hearing his voice, Amarie simply glared at her father, and rolled onto her stomach, in a smoothe way to tell him she wasn't much for discussion at the moment. Not that it made any difference, for he simply sat down next to her and cut right to the chase, something which made Amarie wish she kept the ewok toy longer, to smack him upside the head with it.
"Why would I want to do something foolish like that, dad?" Amarie asked, glancing over her shoulder as she spoke,"All she was asking for was a little help in repairing her ship, and surveying the surrounding area."

Morning came as the sun rose over the mountains and illuminated the grown below. The morning dew was on every plant and tree that could be seen.
Kyra woke early and had left her quarters, careful not to stray from the areas she was shown the night before. She waited at the table and anxiously awaited Amarie to meet her for their morning hike.
Kyra grew impatient and then stepped outside the doorway to the outside. The air was fresh and cool and the landscape was beautiful. Kyra sat upon the ground and began her morning meditation. She expanded her senses and aside from the local wildlife, the area was clear from any trespassers.
It was then she sensed a presence arriving from behind…
“Good morning Amarie. Are you ready for our hike?”

"I'm not saying you would, nor am I saying it would be foolish. Your life is your own, live it how you wish."
Those few words were the last thing he said before he ruffled her hair slightly and left the room. It was high time he got some rest for now. Though it would be a rest that was wary, even he could catch some sleep this night. Kyra wasn't going to wander around, he could sense that she was smarter than that. If anything, she'd stick to the areas where she knew it was safe. Perhaps she could feel the dangers that lurked in the temple?
It didn't much matter to him anyways. He walked to his chambers and climbed into bed without removing his clothes. His blades he did set on the nightstand, however, easily within reach should he have the desire or need to use them. Not long after he climbed into the bed did he fall asleep, a sleep full of nightmares from the Force to say the least.
He dreamed of the coming of a second storm to his homeworld. The Dragon's had found out where he was hiding and launched a vengeful attack upon the Commonwealth. Dragon vessel's arrived in the system, but were repelled by the superior naval prowess that the Commonwealth had to offer. Sides were drawn and war ensued, his planet scarred by many battles through the war.
One thing nagged him throughout the dreams. He felt a loss, a part of him gone once again. It wasn't his son or his ex-wife, they were but shadows of memories. It was something else that eluded him and all he knew was that he didn't like it. The feelings were wrong, and as he stood on a broken mountain looking out over the broken world, he yelled at the top of his lungs.
The dreams went on and on, as if they would not end.. At least not until morning when he woke once again.

Amarie honestly thought that her own words would stir her own father up, only to become even more frustrated as he responded, ruffling her hair as he spoke, as if what she said simply bounced off of him. Shouldn't he have said more, verbally fought to keep her there with him, when everybody else who mattered in his life abandoned him?
She was acting like the sullen, moody teenager that she was, and shouldn't been called out on it, but instead Amarie wasn't expecting the matturity that resulted from too many people simply giving up on him and walking out. Amarie was expecting a frustrated tongue lashing from him, but having him treat her like an adult frustrated her even more. What was he trying to teach her anyway? As a daughter, Amarie was having a hard time translating.
Sleep that night ended up making her more frustrated than before, waking far too early for Amarie to risk showing up at their guest's door, so Amarie strolled towards the entrance to the temple, raising an eyebrow in puzzlement to see that Kyra was sitting on the temple's front steps, as if waiting for Amarie to appear.
So eager to leave, are we? She instantly thought to herself, but the thought quickly dried up and died, as Kyra greeted her. Perhaps, this guest will be something that contradicted every other person Amarie had known, and not either leave her, or in a few simple words, kick her out the door?
Amarie gave Kyra a tired smile,"Something tells me that I probably need this hike to clear my head more than I'd like to know."

Kyra sensed the energy in the air the night before. She still sensed Amarie was upset and her comment only backed her feelings up.
“Then let’s go Amarie.” Kyra said with a smile as she stood up and began walking into the woods.
At first, there was only silence between them as they walked. Kyra was interested in learning what Amarie was like without rudely entering her mind on her own. Kyra began asking questions…
“So tell me, do you find the forest as comforting as I do Amarie?” It was a good first question. See if Amarie had the sensation of nature as a Nightsister would.
“I can tell you are upset Amarie. Do things ever happen around you when you feel that way?” Kyra was curious if Amarie controlled the force better when she was angry and hopefully the question would get a straight answer.
They arrived at Kyra’s ship where the R5 droid was still conducting repairs. The camp was in good order which meant none of the local animals decided to come in and destroy anything. Kyra was checking on the droid when she noticed Amarie was showing a keen interest in the fighter.
“It’s an Eta-2NS Interceptor. This one is an older one, but many of my sisters have nicer and newer versions. Go ahead, you can sit in the cockpit if you’d like.”
Kyra looked back at the droid, but was more interested in Amarie until her focus went elsewhere as she sensed something approaching. It was not Kamon, but something…
In a flash, Kyra sprang to her feet and ignited her lightsaber. From out of the trees jumped an enormous creature which howled in anger at the two women. As it swung its claws toward Kyra, she dropped to the ground and rolled behind the beast and slashed her blade deep into the creature’s back causing it to yell in pain. It countered in an attempt to throw Kyra off her balance as it again swung its claws toward her. Kyra swung her blade causing the creature’s hand to fall lifeless to the ground. In another cry of pain and anger, the beast quickly retreated back into the forest.
Kyra looked at Amarie. “Are you ok?” Kyra then laughed over the situation. “Such an ugly beast wasn’t it? I’ve seen Rancors more attractive then that!”
The two laughed and seemed to bond for a moment. Kyra then returned to her droid to do some final checks then the two left to continue hiking the surrounding area.
As they walked, Kyra showed more interest in Amarie. “Tell me about yourself Amarie.”

Kamon awoke because he felt danger, but just as soon as he felt it it was gone again. This danger hadn't been nearby either. When he felt out to the other rooms within the temple he found them empty. Amarie and Kyra had already left to go do what they wished to do. That left him alone in the building, and with his thinking it might stay that way for a very long time. Unless she didn't leave him...
The danger had been with Kyra and Amarie, but apparantly they had dispatched the source. More than likely it was a wild beast that had fallen upon them, assuming them easy prey. That had a tendency to happen every once in a while. Some of the beasts that IDTech had introduced to this world when they terraformed it had been rather hostile.
When he thought of the old corporation which he'd started and had turned against him, his mind immediately went to Raktus. The man that would call himself a God to the Black Dragon Empire was nothing more than flesh and blood. Kamon had been good friends with him at one time only to have him turn against him and wish to destroy all which Kamon held dear.
He'd very well succeeded in doing so.
Rising from the bed, he grabbed his sabers and clipped them to his belt before walking out into the hall and out to the entrance chamber. With the Force he called a fruit to his hand before walking through the doors and into the early morning. For a moment he just stood outside and ate his fruit, but it didn't last long, his ravenous appetite causing him to devour the fruit in a couple of minutes.
With the food gone, he licked his fingers and then turned to look up to the top of the temple. Pushing the Force into his legs, he jumped up to one of the balconies, then to another one, and continued to do so until he reached the spire at the top of the building. There he sat himself down, took a few deep breathes, and reached out with the Force, drifting into meditation while he waited on Kyra and Amarie.

As they walked at first, silence was between the two of them, accented by the occational sounds of the forrest around them, until questions came out of Kyra, as if she was a balloon that could no longer be inflated and simply burst, the words tumbling out in a barely controlled fashion.
Amarie had to admit she didn't mind the attention the woman was giving her, renewed hope that this guest wouldn't leave to become a distant memory caressing her thoughts like the gentle early morning breeze.
So tell me, do you find the forest as comforting as I do Amarie?
She found herself a little more willing to answer the woman, somebody she barely even knew, than her own father. "It's far less chaotic than my life has been so far. Even if something destructive happens, like a rainstorm, the creatures here don't stop for a second to linger on the losses they were given, they just keep going, and make the best of it."
I can tell you are upset Amarie. Do things ever happen around you when you feel that way?
Amarie knew the woman was curious about her, but didn't take it as a red flag that something was up, that the woman wanted more from her than a simple, fleeting friendship, that Kyra's interest in the teenager was more selfish in nature. The girl simply mentally waved it off.
"Things fall appart...I lose that control when my own temper flares. Though a part of me wants to lash out and rebel, I'm affraid I'll destroy it instead of letting my grievences known in a more reasonable manner. It's an on-going learning process for me."
They approached the camp, and Amarie was instantly drawn to the fighter, an older design which she thought that it shouldn't have been flown at all. From the looks of things, Kyra was fortunate to survive her probably dramatic landing. One didn't see them too often anymore. Amarie missed the part where her host mentioned a sisterhood, a grin instantly growing upon her face when Kyra gave the teenager a chance to sit in the cockpit.
Amarie was climbing up towards the cockpit, moving the safety harness to the side so she wouldn't sit on them, when she sensed something approaching, nothing familiar to her, like her father. She frowned, and started to climb down again, only to hear the howling of the creature that had managed to find them, and the familiar snap-hiss of a lightsaber, making her pause in her descent.
A few moments later, it was all over, with Amarie back on the solid ground, joining in with the relieved laughter, with the hike resuming.
Tell me about yourself Amarie
"To put it simply...loss is a word I know all too well. It's a long story."

Kyra was indeed pleased by what Amarie was telling her. There was a great deal of potential in her and Kyra hoped to spark it even more.
“You know Amarie, suppressing such feelings is not always a good thing. Perhaps some of your learning process should be to let yourself lash out on occasion and feel the freedom you attain from it? You said you noticed the creatures of the forest. Do you think they attempt to suppress any part of their emotions?”
Kyra stopped for a moment and put her hands on Amarie’s shoulders and smiled. “They do not, nor should you.”
Kyra again began to walk, but turned for a moment as she still smiled at Amarie. “Loss too can be converted into a powerful ally Amarie. It is something I know very well.”
As their hike continued, they came across a stream. Kyra kicked off her boots and began to walk in the cool and clear water. As she did, she could sense Amarie’s increasing curiosity.
She stopped and turned toward Amarie…
“Ask your questions Amarie.”

What Kyra was saying seemed a far cry from what her own father had tried to repeatedly teach her, and what this woman was saying made a lot more sense than anything else, her curiousity growing by the moment as Amarie continued to speak.
Kyra wanted to show her something far different, something that should've made her want to slowly back away in polite retreat, but curiousity had made her remain, her words about loss echoing something she heard a long time ago, but elected to push aside at the time. Was she a sith? No...Kyra didn't feel right...not even her father even sensed it, from what Amarie was able to observe over dinner the night before, otherwise, he would've sent Kyra packing.
Amarie definately had questions, a few of them running rampant through her mind as she took off her own boots and wadded in, letting the water calm her just enough to help her form the first of those questions.
"Just what are you, Kyra? Who are you, really?"
