"Dathomiri bloodline.. But yet you are most definitely not a Witch. I would feel if you were, I think."
Kyra shrugged. “That’s a bit judgmental. Do you take me for a witch?” She hesitated until she let out a laugh. “Perhaps I should have put my cauldron on the fire before you arrived!”
Inadvertently, Watcher had hit the nail on the head. Although, if he had heard the stories of Dathomir, he could assume she was a lightside witch of one of the many clans there. The rumors of Nightsisters rarely spread since they were believed dead.
"I reside within the old Rogue Jedi Order temple."
The very thought that he could be a Jedi, even a Rogue Jedi, was a bit alarming. However, should she show no reaction to the notion, she just might gain more trust from the man.
“Ahh, I see. It is good to hear you don’t just wander about the woods all night!” Kyra smiled. “Would it happen to be any warmer there?”
Kyra suddenly stood up. “Forgive me Watcher, it was rude of me to invite myself to your home.” She then walked over to her shelter. “It is late Watcher. I have enjoyed your unexpected company. I promise I will only remain in your forest as long as it takes me to repair my ship. I will cause no harm here.”
Kyra was bluffing and she knew it. Rogue Jedi or not, the thought of a warm bed to sleep in was a bit more appealing than sleeping on a bed of leaves. She continued to rustle about her shelter and prepared to bed down for the night.

There was a twitch in response to his words about the witches and that was a cause for him to wonder. Something was there. His mind and the Force were telling him that there had been some small spike from her in response to his mention of the witches. But still, most witches were lightsiders nowadays. Surely she wouldn't be some rogue dark witch.
"The temple is much warmer than out here. I could take you there and let you stay the night until you can repair your ship."
Difficult this had become. Here he had offered her a chance to stay within the halls of one of the last remaining Rogue Jedi Temple's and he didn't even hardly know her. This could be dangerous, and yet he could find a new source of information from the outside world. Tapping into the holonet was too dangerous and Amarie could only tell him so much.
But what if she was some assassin for the Black Dragon Empire? Trained in the arts of the Force she could be a Sith Master in disguise, sent to kill him and his family. Caution was a necessity in this situation, but he was throwing caution to the wind as they say. Besides, the temple had many layers of defense. She wouldn't likely be able to leave unless he let her as he and Amarie were the only ones that new the traps.
"It's quite a walk, but much safer there than here. Your droid can finish the repairs while you stay at the temple. We have food and drink there as well."
Kamon pushed himself to his feet and rubbed a hand at his arm for a moment, pulling his hands back within the realms of his cloak as he does so. A glance spared to the ship shows that the droid is still continuin about it's work and he nodded his head quietly before looking back to Kyra.
"You should instruct your droid to constantly scan its surroundings. These woods are not safe much of the time."

Kyra smiled and stopped working about her shelter. “I do not wish to impose upon you Watcher. However, the thought of a warm bed and meal is very welcoming. I accept, thank you.”
It was not everyday a Nightsister was given access to any sort of building which had anything to do with the Jedi or Rogue Jedi so the notion of seeing one was very interesting. There could be something useful to the sisterhood there, but Kyra knew for now remaining the humble woman was her best course of action.
"You should instruct your droid to constantly scan its surroundings. These woods are not safe much of the time."
“You heard him R5. Stay alert and guard the ship.”
As they started walking into the darkness of the forest, Kyra then had a thought. Obviously Watcher valued trust and honesty above all else so she decided to seem as if she was worthy of some herself. “Watcher, I do carry a lightsaber for my own protection. Would you prefer I give it to you when we arrive at your temple? After all, I am the stranger in your home.”
It was a bit of a challenge remaining as kind as she was outwardly appearing to be, but Kyra knew she would fare much better in the secure walls of Watcher’s temple.
Watcher kept secrets of his own so she was in a good position to seem as if she were politely keeping many of her own in return as not to raise too much suspicion. Besides, not everyone would openly invite a Nightsister into their home.

Like always, Amarie prepared something for her father and herself to eat for the evening meal, but most of the time, it ended up being her eating alone, and stowing away the leftovers for another time, maybe lunch if she chose to.
Most evenings, Amarie wouldn't see her father till morning, waking to sense him entering the temple, but tonight seemed to be different, pausing in her habitual cleanup to sense that her father was returning early, and that he wasn't alone.

This was a most curious situation that he was no involved in and he couldn't help but think it might be the most interesting thing he'd done in the past few years. But of course he was only going to let her stay until her ship was repaired and then he'd plant a tracking device on the vessel so that he'd know where exactly she was going. Didn't want the Dragon's finding out even by accident.
"You may retain your lightsaber. I am sufficiently skilled in combat to be able to hold my own against most who would wield a lightsaber against me. Unless you're a Sith in disguise then I've no reason to be afraid."
There was a slight tinge at the edge of his consciousness and he knew it to be Amarie checking in upon him. A small smile touched his lips as he nudged his daughter in return, but he made no mention of such things to the woman that now walked beside him. She didn't need to know until they arrived that he didn't live alone within the temple.
The forest was quickly passed through, it wasn't honestly that far from the base of the nearest mountain as it were. Soon enough they were walking along a hard to spot trail up the side of one of the large stone monolith's until they crossed three quarters around it. Then the path angled down into the nearby valley where the temple was house.
"You must make no mention of this place when you leave Tholatin. It's not easily spotted from above and I manage to keep it hidden that way."
Kyra was still an oddity to him, but he couldn't quite place the strange feelings that he felt from her. Was she lightside or was she darkside? His mind told him it was the former but he'd known his mind to be deceived before. If she was darkside and decided to wander about the temple in the night to look for things, well... she'd be in for some nasty surprises.
Only Kamon knew the full extent of the temple tricks and traps as he was the one that built it. All of his own sweat and muscle power had been put into erecting the stone temple which housed the local Rogue Jedi Order training grounds. It had been constructed with the blessings of Gash Jiren, but Kamon hadn't even entrusted him with the full layout.
Things were much safer that way. Only he could allow people to know all of the temple's secrets. Only he could take people farther in than the initial entrance hall and housing chambers. Should people wander past that.. well.. it wouldn't be a pretty sight when someone came across them later on.
They reached the base of the temple and ascended the stairs to the main entrance without running into any problems. Upon reaching the top, he pushed open the main doors and led Kyra into the entrance hall. There was a table there with fresh food waiting and his daughter close by.
"Amarie, I've brought company for dinner. Hope you don't mind."

Kyra laughed as she followed Watcher. “I can honestly assure you I am no Sith.”
It was indeed true, Kyra was no Sith. Fortunately for her, Watcher had no idea what she was aside from a fellow force user. And the fact he informed her he has abilities with a lightsaber was a good thing to note. Any hints to his skill level would be useful should this visit turn sour.
"You must make no mention of this place when you leave Tholatin. It's not easily spotted from above and I manage to keep it hidden that way."
“I have no interest in doing so.” Again, secrecy and Watcher seemed to go hand in hand, much like Kyra. There seemed to be something he was hiding from. What or who that was did not seem clear. Hopefully Watcher would allude to this later.
As they reached the temple, Kyra was led inside and brought to an entrance hall where a young woman stood in the distance.
"Amarie, I've brought company for dinner. Hope you don't mind."
Kyra immediately sensed Amarie, and the force presence within her, and instinctively addressed her as she would a fellow Nightsister…
“It is an honor to meet you My Sister.” Kyra paused, “I’m sorry, I am part of a close sisterhood and it is actually a sign of respect that I addressed you as such. My name is Kyra.” Kyra bowed her head to Amarie and briefly smiled at her as she turned to take a place at the table.
“I must thank you both for your hospitality.”
As she began to eat, Kyra couldn’t help but take special interest in Amarie. She had hoped she would get to spend a little more time with her. Perhaps Amarie might sense the call of the Nightsisters and come with her to Lexia.
Time would tell. For now, she would only be the humble guest.

Once, not so long ago, Amarie had joked that Kenshin was a stray pet...and in a strange reversal of roles, her own father was the one to bring a rare guest within the temple sanctuary.
For a few moments, Amarie stood there, surprised that it wasn't Kenshin that had come to visit them again, but instead a complete stranger, and then a puzzled frown, and one of her eyebrows rose upwards as she was addressed in a fashion that she never expected to ever hear from anyone.
The last time anybody ever called her a sister was before her twin brother left to parts unknown, taking a piece of her own heart with him, making Amarie smile sheepishly like she was that little girl again, if nothing more than the few spare seconds before their guest explained the nature of the formal address, and introduced herself to Amarie.
Hearing it was a sisterhood, of a possible religious sect should've waved a red flag in Amarie's mind, but at the moment, she couldn't get over in her mind the address itself as she added another place setting at the table before sitting down to eat herself.

So she was a witch.. That was an interesting bit of informationg to know. But she wasn't like the other witches, no he felt things were different with this one. The way she had addressed Amarie was certainly something different and he hadn't expected it in the slightest. Plus there was that persistent twinge in the back of his mind that said something funny was going on here.
"We can't offer you much, Kyra. My daughter and I will do our best to keep you comfortable while you stay with us though."
A hand reached out to grab a piece of fruit from the bowl and he set it down on his place before picking up a utensil and snaring a piece of meat as well. Without even a motion from him in its direction, the pitcher of blue milk lifted from the table and floated towards him until he grabbed it out of the air and poured himself a glass. Upon doing so he set the pitcher down in easy reach of Kyra.
Moments later he has fork in hand and a bite of meat upon it which he lightly puts into his mouth and savors. What little they had was of excellent quality. They still had money thanks to Kamon hiding some away within hidden accounts on distant planets. Most of his wealth was safe that way rather than what he'd kept in the basement vaults of the castle. That bit was more to put off invaders.
They ate in silence, for the most part. None of them really wanting to spoil the meal and with plenty of time ahead they could save things to speak about. Kyra was an interest to him. The little twinge at the back of his mind was making him so curious that he was just dying to find out what it was with her. She claimed not to be a Sith, but the twinge said there was something funny.
If she'd been a Rogue she'd have known about the Temple and probably would have landed nearby. A Jedi wouldn't have acted so strangely. Sith, well, something told him she wasn't that. But she was a Witch of some sort. Logic said just one of the lightsiders, but her behaviour and the twinge said something else. But did they still exist?
"I must ask that, while you stay here you not wander about the temple. There are things here that aren't meant to be seen by those that aren't of my Order."
A challenge really. If he had his thoughts right she'd be exploring in the night whether he said not to or not. But he figured it might make her want to even more if he did say such things. The temple was booby trapped throughout. Some of those traps were just the ordinary ones meant to keep everyone out. A select few, however, he'd made to target certain things. One of those things was the darkside.
Of course he'd be on his guard and awake even if she thought he wasn't. That was his plan for the night because he still didn't fully trust anything about her. Other than the fact that she was rather cunning and intelligent. All the more reason for him not to trust her.

It had been a good meal, something Kyra appreciated since all she had earlier was the single fish she had caught out of the stream next to her ship. There was no conversation during dinner, but Kyra shared a few gazes with both of her hosts.
"I must ask that, while you stay here you not wander about the temple. There are things here that aren't meant to be seen by those that aren't of my Order."
“Certainly Watcher, I will not wander from my quarters without your knowing.”
Kyra said it with a smile, but caught the interesting point Watcher had made. He spoke of his order. He had to be a Master or even a Matriarch of sorts. This temple was obviously his and only Watcher knew the secrets inside of it. Kyra had truly stumbled on something interesting.
Calling her host Watcher seemed a bit strange and she wanted to understand why he was so desperate to remain hidden here and conceal his name. She was also very interested in his daughter. She sensed the ability within her and knew that she could become a very successful Nightsister should she chose to.
“I thank you both again for your hospitality.” Kyra looked over to Amarie. “Is Amarie your real name? I have had to address your father as Watcher since we first met” Kyra asked as she laughed.

Oh...great...
It took Amarie a few seconds to realize that her dad didn't give the same courtessy of being annoymous as he did for himself, not letting him quite see the frustraition of that show through her face, with the exception of her eyes, which were minor storm clouds in appearance.
She sighed for a moment, taking a sip of the fruitjuice from her glass, before setting it down to respond to the woman whom sat across from her, and in the few spare seconds, Kyra knew that Amarie wasn't pleased to hear this observation at all. Still, it wasn't their guest's fault that this slip up occured.
"He might have thought that I'd be safer from scrutiny, considering I have a cleaner public record...." Amarie commented with a snort, revealing how rediculous her statement sounded, even to her, and hinting at her own father with a brief glare how she didn't like it.
