Tec looked at Cairo and Owen, and smiled. Looking back towards the fireworks, Tec spoke.

"Fireworks are like a person's heart. Whenever a person is with someone they love, their heart goes off, like fireworks.

"Their heart beats faster and they feel...different, and usually very happy together. The colors of the fireworks stand for the different emotions and times in life."

Tec chuckled now. He had no idea where that had come from, but he thought he remembered it as something his father had once told him.

Tex walked up behind Jai as she stared into the Naboo sky. "I have never left a hand of sabbac before kid,but this is well worth it."

Tex smiled as the fire works shimmered in his eyes. This was one of those moments when Tex didn't feel quite so alone. Tex looked over at Jai who was craning her neck to see the fire works over the heads of the crowed that had now gathered in front of them. With out even thinking Tex flipped Jai on to his shoulders." Don't say a word." Tex whispered "just watch the show." Tex smiled as the party headed into the morning hours. <!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> I wouldn't want to be anywhere else in the galaxy at this moment <!--EZCODE ITALIC END--> Tex thought. As he finished watching the show with Jai on his shoulders Tex could truly say he was happy for the first time in a long time.

Jai felt rather silly, sitting up on Tex's shoulders on her knees. Everyone must have thought a million different awful things about them...espcially when the bottom of Jai's dress feel over Tex's eyes. She caught it before he lost his balance and smoothed down the dress. It was horridly embarassing....but....Jai didn't care.

She rested her hands on Tex's head to stabilize herself and adjusted her dress a bit so it was hiked up and sat there on her knees, way above everyone else on Tex's broad shoulders and enjoyed her unobstructed view.

As the fireworks show neared its end, Tex reached up and,
picked Jai up off his shoulders.He placed her back on her feet but, kept a hand near her back to steady her. " That was a great show Jai." "And, this has been one hell of a party even for a smuggler like me" Tex said. As he continued to stare into the Naboo sky long after the last fire work had been shot.

Jai looked up at Tex...he had that look in his eye, that far off I-miss-Datooine look.

Jai placed a hand on his arm, "Tex? Are you alright? You seem...distant."

" I'm fine kid I just have a few things on my mind." "Anyway its a party lets get back inside and dance". "I can teach you a few things." Tex said as he looked down at Jai and smiled.Tex picked Jai up and spun her around." Still as light as when we were kids." Tex said with a smile,Now shall we go back inside Tex said as he extended an arm and, waited for Jai to accept his offer,

John was standing quietly, his eyes having taken in the fireworks show several times before. He smiled at all the young people wandering about, having a grand time. It had been many many years, and many thousands of lightyears. He remembered the last grand ball he had been at, that was a good time, dancing with a hand maiden, chit chatting about starfighter tactics. having an all around grand old time with the boys.

Jai laughed as Tex spun her around. She regained her balance and took his arm, "More like, I'll be showing <!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> you<!--EZCODE ITALIC END--> a few things, Tex."
