Tex looked over the table and, his cards just in time to see Jai talking to two men. One minuet she was, laughing the next One of the men was up next to Jai having a rather heated conversation.Terex couldn't make out what the man said, but whatever it was jai's faced reddened with anger.

"Excuse me gentlemen I think I need to stretch my legs a minuet." Terex said as he excused himself. " Deal me out the next couple hands."

As Terex walked over to the table he saw fire in the eyes of his friend. "Is everything ok Jai Tex asked?"

A quizzical look crossed the Gands features as Sheridan commented on his activities during the Rebellion. He certainly hadn't told John that much about his past yet, and the man had been in the Unknown regions for the last sixty years, he shouldn't know about that. Silent for a few moments, he had to ask. "Well John, I really don't know how you knew that, but none of our names were known back then. That was kind of the point with Special Ops. It was an...interesting time."

At this point Jaina exscused herself to go speak to Admiral Logan. Jander knew the man, they'd spoken a few times shortly before the dissalution of the New Alliance. Perhaps they'd speak again tonight.

The Gand's attention flickered back to Sheridan and Datoo as the younger human asked him about Sabaac. He gave the Gand version of a smile and chuckled. "Sabaac? Of course, I am a smuggler. I'm normally not much of a gambler, but I have bet on a few occasions. To tell the truth, my team was working on our own during the time Jaina's father was trapped in carbonite, and we worked our way into Jabba's palace. Unfortunately we weren't able to go with the sail barge to the Sarlacc, but I did make a small profit off of Luke's battle with the Rancor.

As he finished his comment, he saw Terex's attention divert, and followed his gaze back to Jaina, the Admiral, and the Nogori. There was an obvious difference of opinion, and possibly a scuffle about to occur. Silently he followed in Terex's path, to assist if needed.

By this time, Jai's five-feet, eleven-inch frame was bent down towering over Mahk's four-foot, 2-inch body. Jai had her gloved hand clenched into a fist, shakeing it threateningly. The Noghri had an equally imposeing gesture aimed at Jai. The classic pissed-off-Solo warning sign, a snarl, krept across Jai's ruby lips; her sea-green eyes were ablaze, and her Solo blood ran hot. Mahk didn't look so happy either.

"You little pipsqueak...I ought to crush you like a bug!"

"You will forever regret it, Jai...but, if you must, I will be sure to notify your next of kin."

"Why I oughta..." Jai was so mad all she could do was growl.

Everyone inside had stopped to observe the 'little difference of opinion'. About this time, Tex and Jandar came over, "Is everything ok, Jai?", he asked.

"It will be once I--"

Tex grabbed Jai's arm, the one with the raised, clenched fist as if to say <!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> Cm'on, Solo...cool down that wild blood of yours<!--EZCODE ITALIC END-->.

Jai looked back at him and let out a dejected sigh. She shot a look back at Mahk and pouted slightly, "I never get to have any fun." When she turned back around, she flashed a classic, pride-filled Solo grin at Tex as if to say <!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> I could've took him<!--EZCODE ITALIC END-->...Tex just rolled his eyes in playful disgust.

"Please stay, Tec. Being all by yourself at a party is no fun. If you want to be alone, we understand...but you can always just sit with us. We came out to look at the stars...it's kinda a hobby...and we'd love you to join us."

"Just be cool Jai." " Lets get you a drink.Terex garbed a shot glass from the table behind him. Right before it touched the lips of the man that ordered it.

At that moment Terex realized that Jandar was standing behind him. "Thank you for your assistance friend " Terex said. Tex stepped to Jander and whispered down at him "will you watch the midget monkey there please?"

Terex turned back to the man that he took the shot from who was still to shocked to respond. " I'll buy another shot for you friend." She needed that far worse then you did.

Terex turned back to Jai "would you down that please." "What good would it do if the buzz around the galaxy was that the great Jania Darklighter murders one of her guest with bare hands" Tex said with a grin

Logan was sitting through the whole thing with a look of mild amusment on his face.

"Mahk"

The small grey being turned his head to him, a look of dissapointment on his face.

"Yes my lord?"

"Maybe Olvekahr needs assistance outside"

Mahk took the hint.

"Yes my lord"

He turned and dissapeared.

"Now, Jaina. Where were we?"

Tex sticks a hand in the older man's face. " I don't believe we've meet I'm Terex B Datoo." I'm Jai's partner in crime and, sometimes her caretaker.Tex said, with a smile. And you are?

Logan's eyes flashed to Jaina. He caught her fractional nod, turned, and stood up.

"I am New Republic High Admiral Joren Logan, it is nice to meet you, Mr. Datoo"

OOC: Lol, talking down to me aye? I'm not that much shorter than you.

IC: The warrior's muscles relaxed a little with the ending of hostilities between Jaina and Logan's bodyguard. That was fortunate, he really didn't want this party breaking out into a battle like so many he'd been to in the past. As they began to walk away Datoo spoke to him, looking down from his approximately 12 centimeter height advantage. He replied quickly and professionally, almost completely his warrior self right now. "No problem," he whispered back, "he can't escape into the shadows with me, and Nogori are generally rather arrogant about thier fighting capability."

"Sort of like many Jedi," he thought to himself, "No offense to present company of course." He watched Admiral Logan have words with the Nogori who then left shortly before Logan approached and spoke to Terex. Not wanting to interrupt right now, Sunstar simply looked around, surveying where everyone was, and awaited his turn.

"Nice to meet ya, Logan." Tex said with a smile. Tex stepped back, to allow Jander to step forward to introduce himself. <!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> I'll stay right here in case the midget comes back Tex thought<!--EZCODE ITALIC END--> He watched Jai's face for for a response she node to let him know she was ok. Once Tex received the nod he scanned the room looking for the midget or some other trouble.But the party was back in full swing just as if nothing had ever happened.
