The elderly Ewok kept walking, using the woman's strange stick to help him along the difficult turrain.
What could he do? He was too old now to be considered any possible threat to the younger group, and if he took them on by himself, he'd be ripped to shreads, and tossed to the carrion eaters.
But, the woman's stick...he had to get it back to her somehow. But, what could he do?
The older Ewok simply shook his head, unable to come up with anything to help the woman who had given him nothing but kindness.
Resigned to accept his inability to do anything, the Ewok hung his head, not bother to keep an eye on the path ahead of him.
Though, it seemed luck was on the little fellow's side, running into something much larger than he was, forcing him to look up to the startling sight of yet another lighted stick hovering above him.
Oh my god! Another strange stick!
He couldn't believe his luck, exchanging a glance between the one he had, and the one this stranger held above his head, waving his arms about like a young cub in his own excitement.
The stranger seemed to have recognized the Ewoks' temporary possesion, asking about what he called his 'wife.'
Oh my god, this one's her mate!
The elderly Ewok shifted the strange stick in his hands for a moment, then held it upwards to the stranger, watching as he took it from him, feeling the strange matterial that covered it. Seemingly satisfied that the little fellow was not a threat, the light from the stranger's stick vannished in an instant, attaching both to a strap of some sort that hung across his waist.
Once again, the man asked where she was, and the Ewok was eager to answer, barely containing his excited relief as used hand gestures to explain what happened to her so far.
The man thankfully caught on quickly, pausing momentarily in thought, then asked which direction the clan had headed.
He couldn't believe his luck when the man handed him some of the same kind of treat that the woman had been unable to give him, rushing off after the elderly Ewok indicated the direction.
Good luck to you, sir. I hope you find her alright.

Raven finnally stirred in her sleep, her eyes flittering open, a groan instantly on her lips, for her own head was pounding.
Just what the hell happened? Did the little fellow lead me into a trap?
Much to her own surprise, a younger girl approached her, gazing at her with large, green eyes, her head tilting in puzzled curiousity.
The girl couldn't be ten, maybe twelve years old, of some unrecognizable feline race.
They hurt me if they knew.
Raven blinked, clearly hearing the whisper within her mind, giving the girl a nodd in understanding.
Who are you?
The felinoid gave out a sudden giggle in delight, unable to contain her joy in finding that the woman could understand her.
You... you understand?
"Yes." Raven whispered, the young feline moving quickly to cover her lips with what appeared to be a cross between hands and paws, hearing the girl shush her.
No noise! Please, no noise! They hurt us both if...
Raven nodded, suddenly seeing her freeze suddenly, then dart away.
Me be back, I promise. Pretend sleep till I come!
Not completely understanding what was going on, and no longer having a source of information, there was nothing Raven could do, other than do as suggested, and simply close her eyes.
Besides, the mental whispers, and the blow to her head tired her anyways, giving up thankfully to the bliss of sleep.
