She chuckled briefly at his last statement, then the corners of her mouth turned downward in a faint frown as she mulled over the other things he had said.

"'Outer Rim Sovereignty'...name does not ring a bell." She said. "But that doesn't mean they couldn't be the ones responsible for my condition."

The name also brought a new question: if they were responsible...how did she get in their hands in the first place? Considering her peoples society and temperment, the possible answers to that question were quickly narrowed down. Either she was working for them at some point: meaning she had likely fallen out of her superiors favor, due to the nature of her most resent memory recall, or she was 'given' to them for the experiment against her will.

For some reason, she felt the latter was more likely and again she felt that sensation of a memory trying to resurface. She reached out for it mentally...but was only managing to wrest one thing out of it. A sentence...spoken in Dosh: I have already decided where your worthless hide would be most useful.

"I was..." She started, her voice trembling slightly. "Considered worthless, by one...if not all...of my people...and 'given' to the people that did this to me."

But what was it that made me 'worthless'? She asked herself.

For now...that answer aluded her.

Sensing her thoughts Darksword was quick to smile.

"The Sovereignty is linked in alliance to the Diversity Alliance. I believe they once made a play for your homeworld.

And the Sovereignty is a highly alien government based, quite obviously, in the outer rims. It was quite possible that both of those organisations were involved."

He paused thinking for a moment.

"Although my sources indicate that this Diversity Alliance is disolved, or at least engaged in a power struggle of sorts."

She tilted her head to one side, a slight frown forming on her face. That didn't quite make any sense. If the Sovereignty was highly alien based government...why would they allow humans to experiment on what could have been one of their own? Of course, Trandoshans weren't much loved by both human and alien alike: the on going blood feud between her people and the Wookiees were proof of that, so taking that into account it could be possible.

"So many questions..." She said softly. "And with no idea how much time I have to answer them..."

She felt a bit weary now she noticed and realized that by now the sun would have started to rise, thus it was past her 'bed time'.

"You wouldn't happen to have a place where I could bed in for the day would you?" She asked, barely stiffling a yawn.

"Of course."

He gestured to the mattress in the corner.

"And the computer terminal next to it could also be of use to you. Its just got normal holonet access, but that might well be enough."

He turned, but added as an afterthought.

"There is some beakers of blood in the fridge, warm them on the stoves if you prefer it warm."

"Thank you." She said at he man's retreating back. After he had left she walked over to the mattress and carefully sat on it.

It felt odd to sit on something actually clean and soft for once, having spent the last two months or so sleeping in what ever hole she could find. She actually felt a bit guilty sitting on it, being covered with filth and her clothing so ragged. He didn't seem to care though, which eased her guilt somewhat. Finally after much hesitation, she laid down and fell asleep.

As they always have before...the dreams came...

A pair of yellow eyes greeted her when she woke up, startling her.

"Sis...I told you not to do that..." She grumbled, pushing her troublesome sibling away.

"I do what I want...and you know it." Her sister replied, reminding her rather pointingly that she was the favorite daughter...not her.

"Well no amount of brown noising will keep you from taking this test along with me." She growled as she pulled on a simple set of clothing.

"Brown noising? Ha! You're the one that sits around all day while 'I' do all the work." She watched as her sister strutted out of her room, her snout in the air.

She rolled her eyes and shook her head as she followed her: it was the opposite that was true.

***

She never seen her sister so nervous, so afraid before.

"What's the matter sis? Fraid you didn't 'study' well enough for this test?" She taunted, relishing in how for once it was her sister that was in discomfort. She had to admit though, the test was rather...intrusive: she hadn't liked it one bit.

She grinned ever wider when her sister turned at her with such a nasty snarl. She snickered when the doctor called her sisters name and she jumped.

Her good mood didn't last though, for when her sister returned she was smiling happily. But there was something about that expression, something malicious, like she knew something she didn't. She didn't have time to grill her sister about it though, for the doctor called for her next.

***

"This can't be though..." She said, not believing what she was hearing. "I was told it looked good before I left..."

"Appearences can be decieving I am afraid." The doctor said, whom she noticed wouldn't look at her straight.

"Can't I have a retest...to varify?"

"Our equipment has a 99.9% accuracy rate. Unless there was obvious evidence of tampering we would have no reason to perform a fresh test and even then...we would need your father's approval."

She winced: knowing her father he would take such a result as is with no questions asked. "Isn't there some way to 'fix' the results?" She asked, not believing the words out of her mouth. But then, she was in a desparate situation.

The doctor shook his head. "I am afraid not...your father already knows one of you has failed."

***

She was blindfolded, shackled, and held in place by a couple of very strong individuals. She didn't know where she was, only knew she wanted to get away. But no matter how much she struggled she was held fast by her captors.

"We greatly apprecate your donation Mr..."

"Besk...for the third time...it's BESK!" A growling impatient voice said. The owner of which she both feared and dispised at this point.

"Of course, Besk." The other voice continued. "It is rather unusual for such an honorable and proud race to give up one of own in the name of science."

She heard Besk snort. "As far as I am concerned, she's of no use to us...barely even Trandoshan as is. Do what you want with her...for I don't care."

The words felt like a stab in the heart and she wailed in dispair as she felt herself being dragged away....

She gasped and bolted straight up, tears rimming her eyes as she was able to recall everything in that dream.

She rested her back against the wall, her mind reeling from the dream. It was from the recent past, from just before she was injected with that...whatever it was...by those scientists. It revealed part of the reason why she was like this: she failed something and this 'Besk' felt she wasn't worthy of anything more then serving as a lab animal.

She had a strong suspision on who this 'Besk' was to her, but wasn't entirely sure. But who he was wasn't as important as the fact that now she had a definate lead. A name she could search for in the public records and maybe find more answers...

(ooc: *Yawns and pokes Lup some more*)

She couldn’t fall back asleep, the name ‘Besk’ bouncing around in her head like a hyper child demanding attention. Looking at the clock she realized she still had another six hours before sunset. Mutter a few curses she sat up in the mattress and looked over at the computer the man pointed out to her ealier.

Might as well see what I can find out on him now… She thought as she moved over to the terminal and switched on the screen.

It was a bit frustrating to use: the keyboard was designed for human like hands, not Trandoshan and her large claws keep hitting the wrong keys. After a while she got better at it and was able to bring up some old news articles that featured Besk. Most of them told how he used to work with the Empire years back and apparently now works as a freelance mercenary: he had been successful in capturing quite a few marks for his employers.

His rep is similar to Boba Fett’s… She thought, then a puzzled look formed on her face. Wait…who’s Boba Fett?

She shook her head, not letting herself get sidetracked. Old news articles were fine and dandy if you wanted to know a guys reputation…but she wanted to know about the person himself. Common sense told her that public records on Trandoshans would be based on Trandosha and not directly linked to other public databases, so it would take some work to find them.

After two hours, she finally got into the Trandoshan public database. However she didn’t find as much as she thought she would at first.

Born in Hsskhor…Former K’Satikur Clan member…so what? She thought, getting frustrated. After a little more searching she found more. Sired three hatchlings…one son, now deceased. Two daughters, both disowned for dishonor reasons.

She sat back, staring at the screen. Disowned for what? If his son was dead and he disowned his other two children…that meant he had no ‘legal’ heir. More out of curiosity’s sake, she looked into the identity of his two daughters. The first one, named Kosi, had this snotty look on her face and she instantly took a disliking for her: her status was currently unknown. Looks like a real b-tch… She thought as she looked into the second daughter.

Her eyes widened when the image came up: she had suddenly felt like she was looking into a mirror. Save for the coloration, this female looked just like her. She didn’t know how long she just stared at that image before she forced her gaze to the information regarding this female.

Her status was missing, presumed dead. Name…the name slammed into her like a large puzzle piece suddenly snapping into place.

Asri…my name is Asri… She thought, holding her head as more pieces started to fall into place. Besk is the one that took me to that…place…and he’s my….father…

She stood up and staggered against one of the tables. Why would he…wait… She remembered the test she and Kosi, her sister took. She knew what kind of test it was, it was a fertility test, all females had to take it when they came of age: no sense in putting you in the breeding database if you were sterile…

Sterile… Her breaths came in heavy now. That would be why she would be ‘disowned’ by her father. But then she remembered the doctor’s comment: ’Your father already knows one of you failed…’ and the smug look on her sisters face.

She cut loose with a scream of rage and knocked the table over, glass breaking as the various tubes and beakers crashed to the floor…

(OOC: LOL, what can i say? I'm a lazy bastard!)

Imperial Palace, Imperial Centre.

"Sir?"

He had been at the palace for hours, minor beaurocrats flittering in and out of his vision and conversation as they required. Most knew the Sith only as the Corellian Diktator, one of the five most powerful men in the Empire.

The fact that the Regent himself was a part of this five, and that the top position was unknown was a key indicator to the state of the Imperium as it was.

His thoughts kept drifting back to the Trandoshan in his house and coincidently at that time his holocom activated, bring word of the preliminary blood test results.

A blue hued image appeared of a small bespecled man, Chief Zedong, head of Diktat Genetic Research.

"Diktator."

The image bowed low.

"Preliminary test results indicate the genetic imbalance has been gained through artificial means."

That the sith already knew.

"But I am still unable to isolate the newly created from the original strands of DNA. I'll forward any data to your personal terminal the second it becomes available."

With a curt nod and a smile the researcher banished himself from his master.

About to ponder the data he had received, of which there wasn't much, Lupercus suddenly sensed a massive flash of anger from a familiar direction.

Happy for the distraction, the hapan ran for his speeder.

She stood there for a few moments, her leaning on the tipped over table with her hands, panting heavily. Her mind was a swirl of emotions and thoughts, her anger making her unable to think coherently, her sorrow and grief resulting in a near complete total loss of the will to live.

Kosi had framed her and effectively took from her all hopes of a normal life. The one thing she was looking forward to, that of being a mother, most likely was impossible now due to the changes made to her body. Even if by some miracle she was still fertile, what male would have her?

Eventually the swirling thoughts and emotions calmed enough to where she could start to actually think and her thoughts all started to turn to one thing: revenge. Oh how she would pay for what she has done, but she would have to ‘find’ her first. Asri knew she couldn’t just go running through Coresaunt demanding to know where Kosi was. No doubt the female had weaseled herself into some sort of position of power by now, despite being disowned by their father and cast out by Trandoshan society in general. To the rest of the galaxy, a Trandoshan outcast was still a Trandoshan…something to be weary and fearful of.

With that thought in mind, Asri realized she couldn’t safely go after her without risking getting killed herself: that would be counter productive. No, she needed to learn some skills….skills worthy of an assassin. With her literal taste for blood, being an assassin would suit her, plus gain her contacts she could use to find her sister and eventually…her father.

She knew it will be a while before she could go after her father: it will take a lot of skill and trickery to get that one. Kosi was like an easily smooshed bug compared to the virtual death star that is her father: at her level of skill, killing Besk was next to impossible…so dealing with him would have to wait. Kosi was the main target for now, for she was the one that started it all…

When her host came back she was idly swirling the contents of a half warmed beaker of blood in one hand, leaning back in the chair by the computer. There was a calm, calculating looking on her face as she regarded him.

“I’ve remembered much while you were away.” She said calmly, an almost cold edge to her voice. “Let’s just say I have two names on my new hit list. However, there I things I need to learn before I can start working toward ‘eliminating’ those names on the list.” She made a casual glance over at the tipped over table, which she never bothered to straighten. “My name is Asri by the way…and I apologize for the mess I made.”
