"Or perhaps he did not mean for the Jensaarai to be present at the meeting? I was not expected and he does not have any other members of my order present...but I suppose it is possible that there was another here that was sent away before I arrived..." he looked arround the room at the other representatives...some of them he knew from reputation...some from meeting with them personally...a meeting with such people must surely mean something of extremely great importance...they must have found something out about Vonta...that was the only possible explanation...
He felt honored to be in such a meeting of great people...although he did feel quite out of place...he knew he was not nearly as important as most of the beings present...it was the Saarai-Kaar herself that deserved to be here...she was not needed as much as she used to be when she trained all Jensaarai...which didn't mean she wasn't needed at all...simply that she had more free time on her hands...
"But we are not here to discuss whether I am wanted or not...I beleive that we have been brought here to be told something? Not to seem impolite...but I would very much like to find out what that something was..." he looked arround at the other beings present to see if they agreed with him...
As the Jensaarai representitive spoke out loud to include the rest of the room there was a marked silence. Toryn had taken a seat at Greyy's side. The short nohgri guard did the same sitting next to Toryn. This nohgri had a greyy helmet on the table in front of him.
The Teepo palidin in the Room spoke up.
"Indeed, you brought us all here for a reason. So why delay any longer when all participants are present and accounted for?" He asked in a retorical manner that was demanding but with a tone that was controled enough to not sound insulting.
The female android Turns to look him in the eyes.
"You have waited this long Master Teepo," Her glare is icy cold. All of the force users could feel her absence in the force. The effect of such a being can be a bit unnerving to force users, "It is logical that you can wait just a little longer."
The Teepo gets ready to make a retort when Greyy stands up getting everyones undivided attention. He glances about the room making sure that everyone is listening.
"Well the time for waiting is at an end then Ms. Strike. Now, if you would all take a seat at the council table all well be explained." The group take their cues and are seated. The Teepo and Strike sit on Greyys right after Toryn and the Nohgri. Irman takes a seat next to Greyy and gestures for Jaymach to sit besides him.
The group of seven barely fill a small portion of council table that could easily fit three times their number.
"The reason that I called you all here is that I have definitive proof that our wayward observer yet lives."
Jaymach sat silenty, listening to the small argument between the Android and the Teepo...An impatient one, that Teepo is he thought to himself...He could learn a lot from my Aiki Master...then the Alderaanian Guard stood up to make an announcment...
Jaymach started to make his way to the table when he noticed that Irman was motioning to him for him to sit next to him...it was where Jaymach was headed anyway so he simply moved to the seat and sat down...as soon as he was seated the Alderaanian Guard spoke once more...
Jaymach had assumed as much already...so this was no surprise to him...he noticed that everyone else in the room had either also figured out the purpose of the meeting or were simply choosing not to show that they were surprised in any way...nobody spoke for several seconds and he had a question which needed answered so he spoke up...
"May I inquire as to what this information is? As I have heard it there was nothing left at her place of...disappearance. I assume that is where you have found this evidence of her survival?" Jaymach looked arround the table...all eyes were on him...silence floated between them all as they awaited the answer to his question...
"Yes." The Teepo chimed in, "Let us hear it. The Teepo have heard that the Observer yet live. That we our selves had no doubt of after he spoke."
The female sythadroid took up an answer yet again, "We do not doubt the abilities of the Master Aiki, Master Teepo. But knowing that she is alive is far from a solution to what has happened to her. With out any physical proof all that we have is Irman's speculative feelings from within the force. It still gives us nothing to work from to locate her."
"Quite right," All attention turns to the director of the guard.
"Though we have the knowledge that she is alive from Master Nogar we had no way of knowing where she could posibly be until now that is." He Moves his hand over a panel his hand moves deftly over the controls. As he does this the lights dim and the Holographic emmiter at the center of the room comes to life. A message is shown in mid air.
"This is an annalysis of the information that was collect by Commander strikes ship that was monitoring Vonta's location at the time of her dissapearance. The Guard was unable to come to any clear conclusions but after we had the Vinda Coorperation take a deeper look at the information the came to some startling conclusions." He allowed the room to read the information through.
Summery: Trace reading had large amounts of Chroniton and Verteron particles. Lab was requested to analyze the trace and theorize on cause.
Body: Chroniton and Verteron particles have been detected in several tests involving high speed hyperspace^2 travel. They are theorized to be after effects of minor space/time bending, resulting in travel that is close to breaking the time barrier. Traces such as was found in this reading have not been seen before.
Theorization: 1 - The end result of an experiment involving hyperspace speeds of faster than .003. 2 – A transportation device such as the rumored “Magwit’s Mystifying Hoop”.
Logical Cause: A space anomaly.
End Summery: More tests and trace readings will be required before additional results can be yielded.'
"The information posed to the VC brought them to the conclusion that this may be the kind of energy signature that can be used in matter tranportation technology. Something beyond all known technologies. Why the only known transportation device in the galaxey are the Gree Hyper Gates and this seems far to alien to be related to this technology." He puases letting it all sink in.
Irman clears his throat getting the attention of the floor, "So from what I gather here the Alderaanian guard is no more closer to finding a solution to this problem then they were before?"
Tory looks to his left to address Irman, "The Guard, yes. This is well beyond any of their knowledge. But not the Teras Kasi. The Theory reeks of rumors and legends amoung my order. Of beings that have been more elussive then any other force group known to us. In the writings of our archives there are instances of force signatures appearing to simply appear and dissapear much like our wayward Observer has done. With mere glimpes of an alien that defies any written account in the galaxey. I speak of the Aing-ti. The Force teleporters."
Greyy Steps in to add, "This gives us our location to look into. The Teras Kasi Archives tell that the Aing-tii only operate in one main area. The Kathol Rift one of the most mysterious and unavigatable places in all of space save the MAW."
Jaymach listened intently to the conversation between the android and all the members of the separate orders present...listened as they talked about Irman...then of the new knowledge that they had acquired from this "VC"...he had heard of teleportation before...Magwit was well known for supposedly having a matter transportation technology...he had always assumed that it was simply a trick of the eye...that perhaps Magwit has some rudimentary control over the Force...perhaps he had been wrong...
Then he heard the Teras Kasi and Guard speak of the Aing-Tii...of the Kathol Rift...all he knew of that region of space was that it was supposedly very dangerous and haunted by "ghost ships"...it was a place that he had decided was not a very hospitable location...but perhaps he would have to go there after all...he knew that Master Nogar would want to find Vonta...and as his apprentice he would follow him almost anywhere...
"Will we be going to this Kathol Rift to try to locate Vonta?" he voiced his fear to all of the beings present...hiding the doubt and his own fear as he was saying it...
"Out of the question Jensaarai." Strike spoke to answer Jaymach, "The Kathol rift is one of the most dangerous regions of space just as Directer Sabreen has just stated. Out of the recorded number of ships ever to risk a trip in that region less then 13 percent were ever heard from again."
The female android speaks matter of factly staying cool and collected.
The Teepo master to her left gave her puase yet again, "To normal beings and their technologies yes. But not to the Teepo Palidins. We have on occasion skirted the Maw and the Kathol rift to escape pursuers. If neccessary we can guide a search into the rift."
Greyy was about to answer when the nohgri Guards man stood up to speak in his steed. Greyy allowed him to speak. Nohgri did not often speak but when they did it was worth listening too.
"So, Master Teepo." the small greyy being addressed the Master his demeanor was a far cry from Irmans more controled with less emotion. It spoke of a disciplined mind.
"We enter the kathol rift, searching blindly for a ship that may be containing Ms. Horn. Scouring the region with out the navigation problems would take weeks this endouver would take months if not years. We have niether the time nor the resources to waste on such a game of cat and mouse with the Aing-Ti ships that mat hold her. Not with The new rise of the imperials. We have another empire that is rivaling palpatines reign forming. Little could be spared for such a search." He states all the facts in military fashion.
"I beleive that our Teepo Paladin said it correctly...'It still gives us nothing to work from to locate her.'...we are as far from being in contact with her now as we were before...at least without at least attempting to go to the Kathol Rift we are...as I am led to beleive," he turned to face Master Nogar "you have some sort of connection to Vonta...if the Teepo do indeed have at least some way of travelling through the region of space then wouldn't you be able to detect Vonta? Surely it is at least worth a try...or perhaps if there was enough of us we could use one of my orders abilities to link together and try to sense the Aing-Tii themselves? I know that they are supposedly secrative but if they did indeed take Vonta without her knowing then surely we have the right to find her?" he suddenly realized that he had just suggested the one thing that he didn't want...but it was something that at least needed considering...Vonta was important to this group of people...and they needed to get her back...
Before the bickering could continues Greyy took control of the conversation.
"ENOUGH!" The room fell quiet, "Now we all agree that we need to at least attempt to find Vonta. We have narrowed down her location from an entire galaxey of posiblities to a mere region of space. It would be foolhardy not to follow up on such a lead."
Turning to the Nohgri, "Shade of the Nohgri shadow guard is right instateing our concern for the new imperial threat. But as you were taught in training Soldier Shade. The Aldeeraanian guard well stand to defend our home but we shall not look away from a worthy cuase altogether."
"Mister Jaymach, I give you leave to the use of the guards newest crafts in order to seek out the Observer. Ms. Strike I would assume that you would join the Force users setting out." He address the room strike just gives a single nodd.
"We shall search her out so long as we have a hope of finding her I swear this to each and every one of you and the people that you all represent." He sat him self down and then heard a ring on his communicator pulling out a small hand held device his flips button.
"This is Greyy I said that I was not to be interrupted." He sounded sturn and irritated.
"Sir we have an energy signature materialive inside the base!" The deep booming voice on the other end said with urgency.
Greyy's eyes set on the communicator the soilder in him was taking over. "Where at."
"In the conference room!" At that a light begain to shimmer infront of the semicircular conference table. The light was about six feet high and three feet long. Sparkling star like particals swirl about the edges of the phenomenon.
Greyy, Toryn, and shade all stand out knocking their chairs down in the process. Their three guard helmets stayed on the table tops. There was no time for the three soilders to put them on. Faster then the force users would have thought was possible for a nonforce user they all pulled their blasters and had them trained on this new threat.
::How did this thing get in here? How did it penitrate the HOMEBASE!?:: Greyy thought to himself.
The speech finished. Irman agreed with Jaymach and Trespe. They needed to attempt to find vonta and so long as they could approach her approximate location he may be able to find her specific location if he got close enough to her location.
All of a sudden there was a massive shift in the force.
::Some thing is happening. What?::
He closed his eyes and felt the force. It was not something sinister or deadly. He knew what massive death feels like in the force and this was not it. It almost feels...
As if it were localized in this location.
Glancing about he sees that the other force users are coming to the same conclusions judging from their expressions. All of a sudden a light appeared in front of him. He remained still he felt no danger. The three soilders move fast to draw their weapons. The Force users act more deliberately moving slowly to draw their weapons.
The master Teepo looks at Irman, the two share a knowing feeling that this was of the force but they know not how.
Strike was the last to move. She saw the event and acted logically.
An internal communicator that she uses in emergencies gives her a direct link to her computerized counter part Saber the main computer of the Nubulan b-2 the saber strike.
The dialogue continues in her minds eye.
"Saber we have a situation" Strike appears to be in her normal apparel of combat attire and a trench coat. Existing as a being in cyberspace with out a body she appears as she sees herself.
Strike's counter part materializes on the flat plane that exists in cyberspace. Saber was Strikes twin in looks but her complete opposite in attire and temperment. Saber appears in a fine dress that would be meant for for a ballroom dance then everyday attire. She held her head high with an attitude that spoke of refinery.
"So I see sister." She answers, "Running sensor swept."
Saber stands without moving. As if she is present in body but her mind is in another world. Which, in a sense, it was as she was working the ship systems aboard Saber strike. She came back with surprise speaking for her facial features.
"Well! Out with it!" Strike yells impaciently. This was her immediate danger to her coporeal form so she had little patience for hesitation.
"Sensors indicate the same field of energy as the one present at vonta's dissapearance." She answered.
At that Strike moved back into the real world breaking communicatins with the refined Saber. Only milliseconds had passed as she had conversed with Saber. (An advantage of communicating at cybernetic speeds.)
She jumped from her seat moving to place her self in front of the energy anomally.
