A trip to Fest wasn't exactly a place Cole had ever expected to take a student to, at least when it came to the basics of force training. Training on familiar ground seemed simpler, perhaps easier than it could ever be. Yet in truth, Donovin didn't want that for Dolash, or for any of the other students within the Academy for that matter. Simplicity had its good points but it didn't offer much for broadening one's horizons. Donovin strived for broadening of the horizons and he anticipated much the same from the students.
Simplicity was great, but it made things small, leaving little room for growth in the long run. If everything was made easy, an odd chance at getting through difficulty didn't bring much promise for growth. No, complexity was meant for that. Something like that, Cole believed allowed true room for growth, a way of seeing the bigger picture through the eyes of something smaller.
"Fest has rough terrain, the snow might get a little irritable too, but it will serve quite useful in your development of your force skills, Dolash. Just don't get any ideas about wondering off, you stick close once we get there..."
The shuttle made a steady transition from hyperjump into hyperspace; Fest would soon have two new occupants.

Dolash was eager to arrive. The chance to prove himself and learn of the force and how to work with it against the foe was enough to keep him high-strung for days until the trip. . The frozen terrain of Fest sounded like a dangerous place, but all the better to train in.
He also intended to start a more rigorous daily routine of fitness, because he saw that Azguards had a natural advantage in strength and dexterity, and he should build upon it to increase his power.
On the day of the trip he was inseprable to his master, standing always a mere few feet away. Whenever Donovin spoke Dolash listned with rappt attention to his master, soaking in every word "Master" he said "Are there any inhabitants on the planet Fest? Or any native life?"

There was a moment of silence that followed Dolash's question as Donovin came to contemplate an answer.
"Humans I would presume.."
Donovin had never actually been to Fest, but he did study the galaxy often when he had the chance, whether by reading about it or by observing others' experiences from different places.
"... I suppose we'll come to find out the answers to your questions when we get there..."
Cole glanced away briefly to look out his viewport, and by looking out; he knew it would only be a matter of moments before they were settled into Fest's atmosphere. He confirmed this conclusion with the Azguard.
"Won't be long before we set into Fest's atmosphere. Once we head off of the ramp and set foot onto the planet, I want you to take a look around, get a feel for the land, tell me what you think of it."

Dolash was able to pull himself together enough to say "Yes master" before staring out of the viewport. He was about to land on a planet which no Azguard had ever stepped on before, to train to become something no Azguard had ever become before, using a power no Azguard had ever mastered before. He felt like any minute this amazing journey would be stopped by something awfull, but he put that thought to one side: Optimism is the medium of the Azguard.
As the planet was now clearly in view, Dolash took the time to examine the terrain. Azguard itself is pretty cold, but this place was downright freezing. He excused himself from his master's presence while he went to get ready. A large, warm coat, a thick sweater, several layers of thermal underwear, and a thich head-mask later, he believed himself ready. But for any preperation he would think of, the little doubt of upcoming disaster nagged at him. But he did his best to ignore it, it was probably nothing.
Once he wass ready he returned to his master, and stood up straight, waiting to land.

When Dolash returned he found that Donovin was properly suited also, though he lacked the ample amount of clothing necessary to travel across Fest in.
The shuttle abruptly touched down, Donovin immediately coming to move from his seat as the ship touched land.
He waited for Dolash before making his way down to the ramp. Cole went first, Dolash following.
As the two stepped outside they were showered by rough winds, scouting seeming to be likely impossible, at least for the time being.
"Follow me, there's something I want to show you. We've got a lot of ground to cover in a short amount of time, keep up."
Keeping a steady pace Donovin walked onward, intending to seek out a good area of closed space.
Where they were going wasn't exactly the most cordial nor safest of places to come in contact with, but the barracks would at least provide a sense of shelter; something that mattered much more to Cole than amiable scenery.

Dolash kept a steady pace behind his master. His experience of the galaxy outside of his home system was so minute that that even this frozen land was a fantastic and exotic land. Fully a meter taller then his master, Dolash bowed down to about his height, for reasons of respect, but also to closer examine everything he came across. Every small pile of snow, every pebble, recieved an immeadiet examnation by the Azguard.
After a few moments of travel, as he began to realize how cold the planet was, he also came to realize that his master had far too little protective gear. Perhaps he had forgotten his? Dolash paused momentarily to rummage within his back-pack. He took out a spare heavy-winter coat and scarf, and offered them to his master.
"Surely you will freeze long before we arrive at our destination, master. Actually, I was curious: Where do you intend to take us?"
As he said this a strong wind buffeted him, and he drew his coat closer in. Surely, this exotic landscape is the most inhospitible there ever was.

"Thank You, Dolash," Donovin said as he was handed the two pieces of protective clothing, though he failed to stop to put the items on. He didn't feel that stopping within the middle of the freezing cold was such a good idea; he could put the gear on once they got to their destination.
A thin benign smile displayed across Donovin's lips, despite the not so pleasant response that he gave.
"... The site of a weapons research facility," he said nonchalantly.

Dolash paused, just for a second. A weapon's facility? A little odd, but then perhaps why not? He decided not to query his master on wether or not it was inhabited or not, merely brought a therma-container from a pocket that had some warm cocoa. He offered a cup to his master. Realizing it might be some time before they arrived, Dolash decided he should strike up conversation, in an effort to learn more about his master
"So how long ago was it, master, when you joined the Jedi?"

The two were still quite a distance away from Fest's tallest mountain; the area where the Imperial weapons research facility was located. The walk up the mountain would prove a bit of a challenge due to the weather and there was still a bit of a risk of freezing to death, but nonetheless, Donovin continued on, Dolash faithfully following along side his master.
The Jedi's brow creased heavily as he thought on Dolash's question.
"I have been with the Jedi for some time. Making ones way to Master takes several years, though it is a title that is fairly new to me. Becoming a Jedi takes a great deal of dedication, not to mention time."
He smiled lightly.
"Quite a few years, Dolash. Curious, do you think you'll continue to stick with the Jedi after you come to reach Knighthood?"

Dolash paused in thought.
"Yes, yes I will. The Azguardian Government decided that the Jedi needed assisstance of some sort, but because we have little in the way of power that could aide a Jedi, they decided to send someone to join there ranks, and that is me."
He paused just long enough to sup another mouthful of cocoa and think of another question.
"I have already told you where I come from, and the Azguards are not a very interesting people. But I would be greatly interested in knowing where you came from, Master. The Azguard knowledge of other worlds is badly limited, and it is always fascinating to hear of other lands."
As he said this, he shook his coat, where thick frost and snow had formed. It was really cold, he thought, not for the last time, and re-filled his mug.
