Neith wanted nothing more than to just find alcoholic oblivion at the moment. Eventhough she accepted her employer's conditions did not mean she had to like it.

Looking up she saw a man across the room nod to her. She smiled back. What was she thinking? The last thing she needed was a man to complicate things even further right now. So why was she still smiling?

She then turned her eyes to the man and woman approaching her. Noticing their lightsabers, she knew instantly they were Jedi. Oh yes, this was getting better and better.

She looked back at the man across the room. Perhaps she can use him to get out of here.

The Jedi came to her table as Neith looked back at them. "Forgive me, but I was just leaving." Taking the last of her drink with a quick swig, Neith started to get up.

OOC: I never said anything about Kahn approaching Neith. I just said that he was keeping an eye on her and had alerted Raven to her prescence. But, for the sake of keeping this thing going, I'll go along with it.

IC:

The woman Kahn had been watching seemed distressed as the two Jedi walked towards her. Of course, this alone did not implicate guilt. Many beings in the bar would probably be nervous if a Force user approached them.

As Neith stood up, the Knight made no effort to stop her from doing so. It would be useless to grab her physically; that would only result in violence. Instead, he gently probed her mind and attempted to use a Force mind trick on the bounty huntress.

"Why don't you sit down and have a few more drinks with us, friend?"

He moved his hand through the air slightly.

OOC: Not sure if she's Force sensative or not; if she isn't, then most likely she'll at least halfway fall for the trick.

Neith stopped at the Jedi's suggestion. She almost took him up on the offer. She went to sit back down but then came to her senses. He was using a Jedi trick on her!

She smirked at the Jedi. "Nice try, but I am on to you." She was Force sensitive; it accounted for much of her survival. A Bounty Hunter had to anticipate and sense the moves of their quarry. It also was very helpful in dodging the occasional blaster charge.

She turned away from the Jedi and made her way across the room.

Approaching the stranger, she smiled and asked, "So, what you drinking?"

OOC: John said they approached so I went with it.

OOC: I know, I was talking to John. :)

IC:

The Jedi realized that Neith was a Force user as well, though obviously not affiliated with either side. From the look of all the weapons she carried with her, the woman was a bounty hunter or mercenary of some sort. That fit the profile well. It would make sense that whomever wished to harm someone would hire another being to do their dirty work. Having familiarized himself with her Force signature as soon as he realized she was a sensative, he nodded to Raven and spoke via the Light Side.

She might very well be the one we're looking for. I think we should just keep an eye on her for now; too much prying and she's likely to just leave or become violent. Did you find out anything from the bartender?

Raven smilled, nodding her head.

A Senator L'Cham had a residence at that building. Perhaps we can find him and maybe find out why this person is being targeted, and have somebody keep an eye on them. The perpetrator might want to try again.

"Well, could try that. If there's another attempt, it's more than likely that we could confirm our suspisions, and have the one in question come to us. Anything interesting from your end?"

ooc: what exactly are the odds of this situation actually happening, i mean i never said we even went to the same bar, so don't get grouchy at me for the story getting confused, Ahem....

IC: "Core Meltdown, it is the greatest thing in the world for kililng off excess brain cells. If you aren't sufficiently protected. It's got about hundred times the kick of an Eshandru Pica Thunderbolt, but i think the last fifty come from the narcotics..." John lost himself in the nuance of alcohol, watching her quietly, sipping his drink.

John was an old timer, grey beard trimmed short, grey hair trimmed just as short, but long enough in the back to conceal so,ething. His eyes bored into her, studying her in minute detail. His hands were on the table, robe loose and flowing.

"Ah, sounds about what I need about now." Neith sat at the table with the man. After ordering the same from an awaiting droid, she sat back and tried to appear casual.

When she got her drink, she sipped at it slowly. She took great pains not to look back at the Jedi. She could sense them contemplating her as a suspect to today's events. What made it worse was them seeing her blew any chances of infiltrating the Senator's private circle and terrorizing from within.

No, subtly was not her style anyway. She would have to do something more direct and fast acting. The call of credits beckoned her more to hurry her efforts to scare Lo'Cham into swaying his vote.

Sipping her drink, her attention was called back to the stranger. "So, what brings you to this lowly part of Coruscant? Seems like you aren't the type to frequent this type of area."

OOC: Hey, just go with the flow people. Seems all fine to me.

"Old traditon, always come by the place when i make it back to this hope forsaken city hive. A friend of mine owned this place before the fall. I lost track of him when things became unchangeable....when the course of tomorrow was set in stone..."

"Then i left, not wanting to see the fall of night...and the rise of a darkness, looming so far tha it blanked out the stars for thousands of lightyears.....until the stars were clouded by darkness....."

"So much has changed in the intervening decades....but everything is still the same....this planet is still a damn hive....."

OOC: Wasn't trying to get on your case, John. Sorries.

IC:

Using the Jedi technique of observing someone/something without seeming to be, Kahn was able to watch Neith without making it too terribly obvious. He didn't move his gaze as he spoke to Raven.

"Nothing more than a feeling about that woman, really. This news about a Senator is very helpful. If we loose our suspect, we could always watch the prey she is hunting."

" And possibly draw the perpetrator to us, if the senator would be willing to be bait. Some old sayings still stand. If you can't get to the mountain, have the mountain come to you. One way or another, answers will be found."
