Only a brief warning in the force was the only thing that spared her from being killed in the initial blast from a planted explosive.
A quiet visit to the city-planet of Coruscant to quench her own curiousity was her trip there was about.
The landing platform in particular wasn't one held up by repulsors, but the top floor of a building in quieter section of town.
And now, here she was, several floors down, and in serious trouble. If she couldn't return back home within a few days, search party would come for her.
She barely uncovered herself from the rubbled that did manage to pin her, when she once again felt those warning bells blaring in her head.
"All this for a blimming vacation, and you want to spoil it?" she asked, rolling her eyes in annoyance at the one finally reached her.

OOC: If you didn't want a Light Sider to join I apologize.
IC:
Coruscant. The capital of the galaxy. One planet with one city that encompassed the entire land area. Home to millions of different types of beings and hundreds of diverse cultures. It had been home to the old Jedi Temple before the dark age of the Empire, the control center where the Light Siders would train others in the ways of the Force and coordinate missions to help solve conflicts within the galaxy. That time had passed, and although the Jedi were now back in larger numbers, they did not reside on Coruscant. Still, it held a certain interest to the Jedi Knight Kahn. He had traveled to the planet in the hopes of delving more deeply into the Jedi's history; perhaps, if he were lucky, he might even have be able to find some remnant from the old Temple.
The sound of a sudden explosion caused the Knight to move quickly towards the source, a large building with a landing platform on the top of it. Using the Force to search out any life-forms that may have been buried by the rubble, he was surprised to find out that one of them was Force sensative.
All this for a blimming vacation, and you want to spoil it?
Kahn was taken slightly aback by the first words Raven spoke to him, but he was guessing that his quick approach had caused her to raise her defenses. It was only natural for her to do so. With a slight smile on his face, he bowed in greeting.
"My lady, I assure you I had no intentions of spoiling anything. I merely wished to make sure no one had been hurt in the blast. I take it you're alright?"

(OCC: Maybe I should add to my title, "Plays well with others." he he You can play here. hehe)
She barely heard him over the ringing in her ears, and the distracting throbbing headache.
" A bit of ringing in my head, and a throbbing headache so far. Don't know what else though." Raven shouted in reply, shrugging her shoulders.

Frowning at this, Kahn reached for the Light Side, letting it flow through him. He used it to somewhat lessen the headache Raven was feeling, as well as the ringing in her ears. All Jedi had some knowledge in the healing arts, even if they could not do more than heal minor injuries.
"Perhaps you should see a medic, just to be sure."

"Yeah, but we have to get back up first." Raven replied, a slight grin upon her face in amusement.
How many floors did they have to go to get to the top?

OOC: I have AOL and MSN. MSN is
rconnon12@hotmail.com, and AOL is JediKahn168. Sorry for disrupting the thread.
IC:
Kahn nodded in agreement with Raven's observation. He recognized her now; she was a Jedi Knight he had met with a few times before."Can you travel without any difficulties?"

OCC: the post before this one was IC, if that helps. As for the building, in all logic, it has several floors to it, pretty much like similar buildings on the planet, so, a few floors could've been affected, not all of the floors, and is of similar height as those other buildings. So, if the whole thing would've went, I would've been dead, and the role-play ends right where it's started. By any chance do have any messengers that we can chat on? These OCCs are starting to get annoying, and are pretty much slowing things down.

<!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> A few stories down in the same building, a woman muttered to herself as she climbed through the window unhooking herself from the cable she used to excape the blast.<!--EZCODE ITALIC END-->
"Blasted thing went off too early. I have to have a few words with Yar about his weapon suppliers and selling inferior merchandise."
<!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> There was no time to check out the extent of the damage, police droids would be on the scene soon. If questioned, it would not take them long to figure out what she was doing there.<!--EZCODE ITALIC END-->

John was slightly annoyed by the crowds on Coruscant, that woman who had made a grab for invictus and promptly gotten her hand slapped away followed by a very large scowl. The nerve of some of these people...And then the sky lit up with fire.....hey wiat a minute, as odd as Coruscant was, that was not standard behavior....even for this bombed out shell of a planet.
He was in his speeder at the time, driving around, looking for where he parked his ship, when he decided to go investigate. As a ver ywise man had once said, "Can you really pass up an oppurtunity to go look around a really neat wreck?" He found that he could not, and his aging speeder crept higher and higher into the air, until he was over the ruined top of the building.
"Wow." Joh took the speeder down for a closer look, and saw people moving around in the ruins. Figuring what the hell, he brough the speeder down, coming almost level to where they were, and opening the side hatch.
"Anybody need a lift off this wonderful piece of modern art?"

The Jedi Knight had heard the sound of speeder coming close before it was near them; he had thought that it was merely some curious being observing the damage. However, when the vehicle hovered close to them and the man inside offered the two Jedi a ride, he realized that this might be their way out of the building. Still, on Coruscant, you never knew what types of beings you were dealing with. Reaching out with the Force, Kahn was able to confirm that the man had no ill intentions in mind. Speaking via the Light Side to Raven, he spoke out loud as well to John.
How about it? I think he can be trusted.
"We may be interested in that offer, my friend."
