Aboard the VSD mk II Conquering Mist the enraged Admiral Siather Detonator hollared orders at the crew. The Vong had managed to take the Raging Night Hammer, and it wasn't the first ship they had taken from him. The original Tempest Mist had been destroyed by them when he first encountered them. They had almost gotten the fleets command ship the Zealous Mist many times but the Admiral had always escaped with it intact somehow.

"Have all ships come about and bring all weapons to bare on the first Light Cruiser, make sure all fighters pull away so we can open up without having to worry about them. Have the Tempest Mist and Zealous Mist come in and join us and send down the rest of the Det'aan warriors and another 4000 stormtroopers, they are going to clean those Vong off the planet's surface."

The TRE Task Force came about and openned up on the first light cruiser playing turbolaser fire down the aft end of the ship Ion cannon fire at the mid section and heavy laser fire at the bow. Then after 5 minutes the gunners suddenly switched confusing the dovin basils for awhile and allowing the turbolasers to score some hits along the mid-section of the light cruiser.

The stormtroopers and Det'aan warriors were regrouping. Loses for them had been minimal but not negligable. They awaited the arrival of the rest of the Det'aan Warriors and another 4000 stormtroopers.

"Fire all missiles onto that second light cruiser, tell IFE our plans. Fire all other weapons on the other light cruiser."
"Yes sir."
The missiles flew from the ships, all 567 of them, swarmed towards the second light cruiser, aimed at different places on the hull. Lord Snowkan was sure that at least some of them would get through and hit the hull. The turboalsers and ion cannons on the capital ships fired continually at the first light cruiser. At first they were the weakened power setting, then the normal, then weakened again.
"Sir i have an idea."
"Well, what is it?"
"Since we can make our shots fire more quickly, with less power, why can't we make them fire with extra strenght and less quickly. Sir it would only make sense. think abotu it, we fire our weakened shots, then power them uop higher then normal, the ships would be so confused."
"Wonderful idea, begin the modifications."
The Mon Calamari Republic and Iron Fist Empire ships, fired on the low power while the modifications were being made, then the higher then normal power, then normal and then weakenned. The dolvin basils would hopefully be confused.
"Bring the sentenial landing craft in from Kessel."
"yes sir. Sir we won't be able to bring the troopers down in one load."
"I know that captain, but we can at least help the forces down there."
"Yes sir. They will be here in soon."
"Thank you captain."
The battle was progressing well for the Mon Calamari Republic, the enemy was hopelessly out numbered, and out gunned. The only thing that owrried Lord Snowkan was the troops on the ground.

Again the ships fired rapidly, but still the Yuuzhan Vong were well out of range, their seven klicks out proving that the Mon Cal were too incompetent to fly closer and actually fire upon the righteous craft.

Yulbook was most pleased with the progress of the battle, and standing among the command center of the Incarnate, the command link strapped upon his tatooed and scarred head, he was acting as both Warmaster and Yammosk as he linked the two craft together telepathically.

And yet still they were out of range, watching for the potential craft that did get closer.

The Zealous Mist and Tempest Mist came ripping out of hyperspace at the edge of the system to join the rest of the Task Force in avenging the loss of the Raging Night Hammer.

"Ask the Captain of the Tempest Mist if she has modified the missiles since they left Nenten."

"Captain Herringa reports that the missiles are ready."

"Excellent news move us into range of those two light cruisers we will take the closer of the two out first. Make sure that the Tempest Mist holds onto their missiles until I give the order."

The 7 Star destroyers started closing the distance between them and the Light Cruisers.

"Get me in contact with the Emperor, no administrators, directly with the Emperor."

The image of Emperor Fearsons appeared before the Admiral and Siather bowed in respect.

"Your Majesty we are at the planet known as Ylesia. The Yuuzhan Vong were here in great numbers and still remain here in small numbers. Two light cruisers and some troops on the planet. The larger force managed to destroy the Raging Night Hammer before they left."

The rest of the Det'aan and Stormtroopers joined those on the planet and they began moving toward the last known location of the Vong slowly and cautiously.

Secret Location 1.9953.CV302

The emperor peered graciously out of the bridge of his own Eclipse-Class Super Star Destroyer as it aligned with the rest of the fleet defending the frame of the mighty Death Star. Though just a frame, he was pleased with the great progress of his creation, seeing as he would soon be patrolling down its gigantic halls with inherint delight.

He ran one of his hands down his jawline as he waited for the report from the Rogue Imperial command staff. It had not come and he was getting quite...displeased with their lack of courtesy.

"My lord," he heard behind him, and thus he spun on his heels. Standing between his glorious PeFauna guards was a small, stick-like man. He narrowd his eyes and tapped his own chin as he peered at him.

"Yes General?"

"My lord you have an urgent reading from Admiral Siather."

The emperor again narrowed his eyes...it had better been in a secure line. The life size figure of the Gand appeared before him in its holographic form.

"Yes Admiral?"

"My lord..." he explained in depth the situation at Ylesia, and he growled slightly. Another report of the Vong. He seemed to have the fleet bit under control.

"Yes Admiral, we are sending you ground support, just hang on."

"Move our ships into range of those light cruisers."
"Yes sir."
The Mon Calamri and Iron Fist fleets moved closer and closer the ligth cruisers.
"Sir we are within fring range."
"Fire all missiles and torpedos at the second light cruiser. All turbolasers and ion cannons and laser cannons, half of you fire lower power, half normal on the first light cruiser. After a minute, fire an higher then normal power."
"Yes sir."
The missiles, turbolaser beams, laser cannon fire and ion cannon fire flew at the two ligth cruisers.
"Are the troops on the ground yet?"
"Yes sir. The sentenials are going down to the planet for the third time."
"Good. Any casualties?"
"No sir, we are still not within in range, except for the tank droids. They are firing at the warriors, and have taken some out."
"Good, good."

OOC hehe no, no warriors have been killed, by all accounts, MCR, doesn't even know where the warriors are.

So the Mon Cal have realized the futility of their chase against the Yuuzhan Vong, and were now using a recharge, fast rate of fire trick. Obviously they are unaware of the consequences. Instead they carelessly sought out the power of their turbo lasers.

They did not think of the penalties of overcharging turbo lasers.

Telerek Domain Dwamor gripped his amphistaff tightly, watching as the storm troopers made their advance toward the Yuuzhan Vong defenders. He stood proudly on the largest boulder amongst his fortress, and as they came within hearing...he threw back his hairless head, and screamed with all his might and lungs. Throwing his balled fist into the air, he ripped the air molecules around him to display the horrendous might of the Yuuzhan Vong, and their blood thirsty desire to crush the infidels of the galaxy.

When his blood-curdling roar finally ended and the last echoes finished bouncing off the mountainous walls, the warmaster's kin bowed down on one knee, hissing with relative delight. There were mechanical tanks incoming from the northeast...abominatory creations made entirely of mechanics...it was disgusting.

"Prepare!" the Yuuzhan Vong commander roared, preparing himself for a potential onslaught of laser blasts, yet they were still out of range. "Fire!!"

The plasma from the tanks quickly roared out at blinding heights, flying straight out over the sky like a fountain of lava, ordancing onto the oncoming storm troopers and quickly melting through the armor of several, but they did not necessarily grow slain.

"Take positions!"

******************************************************

In space, the Light Cruisers were taking a massive onslaught of turbo lasers and ion cannons, the latter of which merely bouncing off the non-electronic yorik coral armor. However, with the Mon Cal attempting to reconverge their turbo lasers so rapidly, the mighty cannons found themselves slowly running down on the power.

After several attempts at this bold manuever, the mechanical terrors found themselves rendered useless, as tiny explosions rippled on the edges of the ships, blowing off the cannons and killing off those around the hull inside.

Again Commander Yultook was given the advantage by infidel stupidity and faith in their own lifeless creations. And while the Iron Fist and Mon Cal ships were now rendered useless, the Rogue Imperial craft thus only continued forward.

This time, the commander was going to do the command they did once again with the Interdictor.

Speeding themselves as quickly as they could toward the now useless MC300s...the first was destroyed through the blackhole extraction manuever. The Mon Cal...were being crushed.

The 7 Mists of the Rouge Empire pulled into range on the first Light Cruiser and began firing on it.

"Spread all weapons along the length of that ship then have the Tempest Mist fire off 10 missiles at the midsection. When they explode all weapons should fire at the midsection of the light cruiser."

The Tempest Mist fired off 10 missiles which glided in and as soon as the sensors on them detected the gravity anomalies that the Dovin Basils create they exploded overloading the little black holes long enough for every ship to get in enough turbolaser fire to chunk off nearly half the midsection of the ship. Another manuever like that would cause the thing to split in half.

Meanwhile on the planet the ground forces had stopped nearly 3 klicks away from the Vong "stronghold" and waited for the reinforcements promised by the Emperor to the Admiral.

In a combusted flurry of smoke and flames, the Light Cruiser that the Rogue Imperial Star Destroyers were firing on ripped and shredded apart, spinning off and shattering into oblivion with a white, blinding light from the massive barrage of both gun fire and missiles. With the dovin basals so exhausted they had no hope of catching the onslaught.

Yultook then knew the futility of the raging battle, and seeing it better to preserve his ship and bring it with honor back to the Warmaster, he enveloped his worm hole...and left the system far behind for the Rogue Imperials to battle over the ground.

On the planet thousands of stormtroopers and Det'aan Warriors waited as a few scouted ahead and others watched through macrobinoculars. The Vong had choosen a nice place to camp plenty of defensable terrian, steep inclines, deep caves, jagged rocks. This was the type of terrain that all these men had only seen at Nenten it would be their first time in combat on these types of terrain. Finally the Det'aan scouts returned with good news they had found a chain of over hangs just 1 klick from the Vong position that would provide perfect cover til they could find a way up to attack the Vong hand to hand. One scout even brought back news of a weakness in the Vong armour the armpits seemed to be a weak area.

The thousands of warriors charged foward toward the overhang and dove in as the Vong realized what was going on. Some of the Det'aan kept moving taking up defendable positions on higher ground to set up their sniper rifles. The Gand didn't use blaster rifles in cases like this they used the old fashioned relatively short range bullet rifles. They would get the job done and would be silent at doing it. The rest of the troops began creeping forward silently allowing the snipers to take out the patrolling Vong as they went. The Det'aan were armed with high powered blaster pistols and the traditional Det'aan Bak'taar. The Stormtroopers were armed with high power repeating blaster rifles and vibro-katanas. They would get close and then unload their blasters before taking the Vong hand to hand.

They got within 400 meters to the Vong and then charged in firing off their blasters and cutting a few surprised Vong down. More fell to snipers and soon the Det'aan and stormtroopers were engaged in hand to hand combat with the Vong using their vibro katanas and Bak'taars.
