Leia sensed hesitation, and so she prevented the awkward silence that was bound to fall over the room by speaking first.
"Kahn, Amalia, a pleasant surprise to see you both here, though... I doubt you come here in idleness"

Amalia glanced over at Kahn and simply nodded her head to him. He had taken her this far, now it was up to her to do the rest. She then turned to Leia, clasping her hands before her as she began to speak.
"I ran into Kahn last night as I was going on a nightly walk. He explained to me about the problems concerning the order..."
She paused, knowing that the more difficult part had come now. Yet she proceeded on.
"I know that I walked away...from this order. Times were hard for me, and I did the best I could. I did what I thought was best...but..."
"..Now, I'd like to return, I belong at no other place but here. I've also returned because I wish to help.."
She bowed her head and grew silent for a moment. She lifted her head back up after a time.
"I am sorry...I ask that I be allowed to return to my rightful place, that is, if you'll accept me back..."

A stony silence hung over the room for a long moment as Leia simply attempted to stare down Amalia. But Amalia's gaze was unflinching now, and finally Leia stirred, then slowly smiled....
"Amalia, we would welcome your presence within our ranks once again... as you once were before, honorable, caring, and helpful. I guess I should say, welcome back"

Athough the silence and Leia's long stare made Amalia somewhat nervous, she showed no such sign of it. It would be the words that Leia spoke out right that would stir a reaction from Amalia most. She smiled in return after Leia had spoken.
"..Then I Thank You, Master Leia. I will carry myself among the order with great pride and honor as I have done once before..."
She bowed and then spoke again, concentrating her concerns upon the order.
"..Many have gone I have heard. Gash seemed to have a great influence over this order. I was sorry to hear that he departed from this order, taking along with him, fellow Jedi members..."
"Something needs to be done. Our numbers have decreased, and from what I hear, more may go as well. I know I can't make up for the members that have been lost, but I very much long to help."

Kahn had remained silent through all this, though when Organa had welcomed Amalia back the hints of a smile could be seen in his features. He continued to be silent as Organa and Amalia spoke.

Leia shifted in her chair.
"Unfortunately there is nothing that can be done, we can only go about our usual business, and if we have to, we'll fight twice as hard. Those who have left may not be with us anymore asa group, but they still hold our mission, they are still on our side."
Leia grinned.
"I suppose our first order of business for the new day is to talk, or beat if necessary, some sense or at least some understanding into my stubborn brother..."

Amalia shook her head, agreeing with Leia's first statement.
Amalia's left eyebrow rose slightly as Leia mentioned Luke.
"Hmm, I'm afraid I won't be of much help to you there. Luke is just one Jedi I don't like to mess with."
Amalia, although she didn't show it, seemed rather disappointed that there was nothing more she could do to help. She knew Leia was right, but she still didn't like it.
"I'm sure he'll come around, Leia."

Leia shook her head.
"No, Luke will not change his mind on this matter, I feel. We will have to push it through. I will need your help in this. The general consensus is that the Jedi want to act. I support that notion as well, and it must be made an option for the Jedi, or not only will we lose more Jedi, but we will not be fulfilling our duties. Luke will speak out against this as he did to Gash earlier, though I know you are not familiar with this since you were not yet here.
We don't need to convince Luke of anything, that is not possible. We only need make him listen. You are probably the one most capable of aiding me right now in such a task. Will you accompany me when the time comes to bring up the subject?

Amalia's gaze looked away for a moment, as if she were thinking of what to do. After a short time her gaze returned toward Leia, she looked unsure and doubtful.
"Leia..I..I don't think that's such a good idea, speaking for myself, I mean. I wasn't here when the meeting took place. I only know of what you and Kahn have told me. I really have no place in this matter."
That was another thing she did not think about before her return. How was she supposed to help if she did not know the specifics herself? She had missed the meeting, not just any meeting, one of the most important meetings to have ever existed in this order.
She turned to look toward Kahn, nodding to him.
"He does though."

Kahn had been listening to the words exchanged between both Masters, and now he knew it was his turn to speak.
"Though I would be more than willing to help, I don't believe I would be of much help. Amalia, you are a Master, and a respected one at that. I have only just recieved my new status, and I don't know Master Skywalker that well. Amalia, you're better with people, and better respected. He would listen to you more than me. If you need details, Master Organa and myself can supply you with them."
Though Kahn would speak if he had to, he felt that Amalia was better suited than him to do so.
