A Call to Gather: The Meeting of the Jedi Council (Jedi!)

*Han had worked hard for the jedi council, but he also felt it was time for something new in his life. He would remain a loyal member to the skywalker council, and the new republic, but he would join Gash, and Zark as a member of the Rogue Jedi Order*

"I Have decided upon myself, to follow my friend Zark, and go to Yavin IV. I bid you all farewell, and hope that our paths may cross agian in good faith. May the Force be with you all."

*Han strode out of the council room with those words*

Kahn was on his way to his home, his face grim with the thoughts going through his mind. This could split the Jedi, and that was certainly not a good thing. He wasn't really watching where he was walking, and did a double take when he passed someone who seemed familiar on the street...it couldn't be....

"Master?"

The solemn and quiet Jedi Master stopped abruptly in the dimly lighted street, squinting slightly as she turned to face the direction of where the voice had called out to her. Her lips parted slightly, allowing her face to be almost expressionless for a moment as she made eye contact with the figure standing just a foot or so away from her. Her lips closed back together quickly, and the grave look reappeared back upon her face.

The wind around the two had begun to pick up just as Amalia had started to speak. She quickly wrapped her arms around the front of her waist to try and keep warm, speaking as she did so.

"Hello, Kahn, I had not expected to see anyone roam the streets at such a late hour of the night as this...."

She dared not to ask him why he was out at such a late hour for fear of intruding, she only hoped he would fill in the answer to her unspoken question

Kahn knew Amalia quite well, and was able to read in between the lines of her words. He shook his head sadly.

"Amalia, there's trouble with the Council."

The wind picked up again, and Kahn felt goose bumps on his arms. He noticed a small resturant nearby and gestured towards it.

"I think we should talk about it in there, if it's ok with you."

His normally happy features were set with worry and troubled thoughts.

"Lead the way," She said softly, noticing a hint of worry in his eyes as she met his gaze.

The two quickly entered the resturant, the wind caused the door to close loudly behind them after they had entered. They quietly took a seat at the first round table they saw, set for two. Amalia had to speak at medium volume to keep up with the loud crowd of patrons.

"What troubles you?" Her voice sounded very concerned.

Kahn sighed.

"Gash Jiren spoke of ancient prophecies, prophecies that said a great war would soon break out in the galaxy, a war in which many innocents would die. Sith are massing, evil growing. The Council is divided on what to do with this issue. Some say we should attack the enemies' assets and take the offensive before it's too late. But...that goes against the Code, and others say it would be too easy for the Jedi to fall to the Dark Side when tempted by power. I, myself, have chosen to remain with the Council, so long as they do something, whether it is an attack or not. But many have chosen to leave, and I fear this division will hurt the Jedi, as well as the oncoming war."

Having explained the situation to her, Kahn waited Amalia's reply. He was glad to have someone who could give him advice, even if she had left the Order. He still hoped that she would, one day, come back to the Order.

OOC: Han, I would quite prefer you do not speak for me, as you seem an eternal pessimist with a desire to dissuade people from joining RJO. ;) Corran, I will train you myself, and we will pick up where you left off.

"I see," Amalia's eyebrows narrowed slightly, a sign showing she was deep in thought. Her eyes seemed to dart to and from across the round table top, not really loking upon anything, just another sure sign that she was deep in thought. Slowly she moved her attention back to Kahn

"I am none too pleased by this news, as I am sure the others in the order, who like you, wish to stay, are not pleased by this so called seperation of the order."

She sighed slightly.

"I never predicted Gash Jiren to have such a strong influence over the Jedi, at least in this way. I would have thought his influence would have benefitted the order, not tampered with it."

She clasped her hands together on the table top.

"Nonetheless, his actions, I believe, and his words, are all in good taste, and I don't think he really intended to bring any harm upon the order...Though I do not understand why he waited for so long, until now, to speak his mind about such a serious issue as this. If it concerned him so, why did he not address it sooner?"

So the order was in chaos, and what boggled Amalia's mind was that one of the order's members had caused such chaos. It was something Amalia had never thought would have had happened, not in a million years.

"I imagine the departure of the order is growing?"

Kahn nodded sadly. He dislike seeing the Jedi like this, so many leaving to follow Gash. He did not blame them for following what they believed was right, but he knew the Jedi needed to stay together now, more than ever.

"Many are leaving with Gash, and I fear our numbers will have decreased greatly before this is through. Amalia, I'm worried. If a war is to come, we would be in a poor spot to defend against it, with our numbers divided."
