The Right To Bear Arms

Hey "s'Il", as it occured to you yet that the reason I treat you with disdain is because you're defending people who build dangerous weapons out of shit they find in the hardware store? If you want to play with guns, join the army. If you are not in the army and still deem fit to fuck around with totally dangerous, unnecessary weapons, I reserve the right to call you an "ass-clown bullshitter", because as far as I'm concerned being in the armed forces is the one and only qualification for this sort of nonsense. Otherwise find a hobby that doesn't involve "toys" designed to murder people. Enough with the war fantasy already.

Oh and hy the way, thanks for taking the time to give me a lecture on "the way life is and stuff". I really needed to be spoken down to by some gun-toting maniac on the internet. You mean there are disagreements that won't be solved here on this internet web forum? What? How can this be? Are you suggesting that some people have irreconcilably different views, which maybe even manifest themselves in two seperate political ideologies that seldom intersect on anything at all? Thanks a lot "s'Il", I didn't understand how the world worked until I heard it on the internet from you! I thought I was going to change the world using internet! Jesus.

There everybody, one last conservative bashing to remember me by.

And here I thought Cris didn't care what anyone did, just so long as they don't hurt anyone with their doings.

In 12 years of owning guns, I've yet to do that.

Thats a better track record than some people with the walking & chewing gum combo.

You should probably avoid ad-hominem rapier witticisms a la Maddox. It reeks of blustery Internet Tough Guy syndrome.

I'm having trouble picturing something that would burst through my door at night that I'd need nothing less than a FLAMETHROWER to take out. Seriously, guys. There is such a thing as overkill.

I'm pretty sure he didn't build the thing with personal defense in mind.

I never once said I was trying to live out a 'war fantasy'. I simply said that I see things very militaristically due to my background. Now, while you're on your anti-killing things rampage, you might as well crucify Ren as well, because he takes a particular joy in collecting swords; and as everyone knows, swords were specifically designed to kill people and take lives. Might as well throw in competition archery, too - because bows were invented for hunting and killing, just like guns. Every one of these things are nowdays often used for recreation, and as I said before, those that own weapons are some of the most safe people on earth simply because they know the potential of the weapons they keep.

I must ask you this though; you say you 'disdain' me because I choose to own a gun. And yet, you haven't verbally attacked any of the other posters here who defend gun rights, which leads me to believe you just might not like the fact that I am an assertive woman who refuses to back down in her beliefs when confronted by a man. Does that threaten you in some way? Because all you've done thus far is attack me when I've done nothing but provide logical, concise, and polite conversation as to the reasons why I enjoy what I enjoy.

Your behavior up until this point hasn't helped your case any.

I really needed to be spoken down to by some gun-toting maniac on the internet.

What proof do you have that I am a gun-toting maniac? Am I spouting nasty remarks and throwing names around at people who have different opinions than me? Am I making snide remarks to people simply based on what they choose to do with their time? At the moment I only have one gun - and even that one I left with my mother because she needs it much more at the time than I (she owns a ranch and often uses it when she has to put down an animal).

Your attitude is simply staggering.

Lovely statement, and it would certainly be applicable. If I was a conservative.

Ren, how many blades do you have? It's always nice to meet someone who collects swords as well; I don't run across too many.
