the only reason I can think of for Lucas to have Anakin young in the ghost scene is that... well, to be there they have to be good jedi and Anakin was only a good jedi when he was younger.... the other two were good guys right up until they died

Damalis is correct, at least according to what I read. Anakin returned as a ghost in the appearance he had when he "died" as a Jedi and fell to the Dark Side.

Uh... hey dumbasses. Anakin was redeemed at the end, in case you forgot. Meaning he was good before he died. Meaning he should appear as an old dude.


This also brings up that classic question of "becoming one with the force" and why Anakin didn't disappear like Yoda and OB1 but he still appears as a ghost...

Or why Qui-Gon didn't go vamoosh either...
