I agree that its very annoying to see little blocks around the TIE fighters when watching almost any battle scene.

Strange thing is, the crappy quality of the old VHS' means I didnt notice this before.

Its odd to me ( IMHO) , that GL would spend so much time in making Greedo shoot first, or Jabba the Hutt appear in ANH , but miss something quite obvious like those lines.

I would have thought he would have been able to redo them with the technology they have now. Especially seeing as he appears to be quite the perfectionist.

Strange no?...

He needed something to fix for another set of DVDs while he works on the new trilogy.

Next is going to be a super special edition with all six movies, a bonus bonus commentary DVD, and a tin case to hold it all in.

Isn't 'Tin Can' a derogatory term for an R2 unit?...

Why not just have Lucas refilm the origional trilogy? Start from scracth. Have it be the way he wants it it to be, with everything perfect. That way, he can fix EVERY LITTLE DETAIL so everyone can finally be happy.

Oh snap, but it wouldn't be the originals.

I love the clearity of the DVDs. Absolutely vivid and amazing. Not a fan that the 'sparks' when lightsabers make contact with each other throw out yellow blobs, but I can live with it. Also can live with the red box around the TIEs, since it's not *too* red.

Definately glad I got them.

Yeah, I wondered about that. I wouldn't have minded some special effect tweaks (consistant lightsabre effects and colors across the movies, for another example).
