Changes = Suck.
GL had a chance to correct the shite he done before with the whole 'special edition' thing.
...and he's just made it worse.
Greedo still shoots first!?... it still looks terrible!, Han's head jerks to one side (he has a seizure or something), and Greedo misses!, from there!, he's a bounty hunter??? It was fine as it was in the original.
That whole Jabba thing in SW, with Han walking on his tail. It SUCKS, and was not needed at all, and he still looks awful.
Why change Fett's voice! it was fine as it was damn it, now it just sounds girly.
Vader not knowing about Luke!?... C'mon!
Not sure about Haydn's Anakin appearing at the end of ROTJ next to Yoda and Obi Wan yet, but it still feels unnecessary, this is probably the one change I don't mind too much. But it still SUCKS.
Gah!...

Ok...I had read an article on ABCNews.com that I found rather funny this morning....but it's been taken down already and I can't find it!
Basically it had things on how there were concerns about how to do certain parts of the film: the one I remember specificially was that some people were worried about the fact Chewy was only wearing and ammo belt and some peeps wanted to put pants on him. *chuckles* Getting a Wookiee to wear pants? That's about as likely as getting them to take a bath...
When I get home from this deployment...that boxed set will be soooo mine....

Seth: Most of the changes suck donkey balls, and I thought the Anakin Ghost Scene was the worst of them all. They have however done some nice touch ups, in the Rancor scene, for instance, where Luke is grabbed by the mighty beast . . .it now looks slightly more believable.
They redid Jabba in ANH, yet again, and he looks worse this time.
Slaskia: There's references to that on the extra's disk (extra's . . .wow!) which was about the Fox excutives having that listed as one of their major gripes about the first film, whether or not Chewie should be wearing Trousers.

The Emperor in TESB looked far more evil, but the new dialogue in the scene was rotten.

Lucas seems to be obsessed with turning the OT into the same type of movies as the prequels. Do you think anyone has mentioned to the great GL that the prequels suck? Yes, GL met computer animated graphics and those are a great thing and should be used to tweak up the movies, but part of the magic of SW is that the SW crew was able to make the kind of movie they did with such limited technology.
I don't mind the Jabba change, the new Jabba in ANH looks much more believable than the old one, the coloring and shape of him looks more like the puppet in ROTJ. The Jabba in the special Edition just looks.... wrong.
Fett's voice and Vader not knowing about luke, are just simply retarded changes.
I especially do not like them putting Hayden in the ROTJ ending scene. If they made Anakin younger in the 'Force spirit' life, why didn't they put Ewan and the younger looking Yoda in there too? That was one of the stupidest changes to the OT besides the rumored appearance of Jar Jar on Naboo in ROTJ.
These DVDs shouldn't even be called the OT, Lucas is working too hard at eliminating what made SW so popular. Hey, I have an idea! Lucas can simply restore the original OT without all of these retarded changes and release them on DVD. Then....
he can recast and just make a whole new ANH, ESB, and ROTJ and put all of his retarded changes into those. Then he'll have what he wants: his perfect image of the SW universe in all 6 movies. Then he'll prolly wonder why 90% of the SW fan base purchases the OT of the 70's over his newer, "better" movies.

Oh, shut up.
The OT is still there. Watch which version you prefer.
The OT will always be remembered for it's greatness and the effect it had on everyone in the 70's even if GL tweaked a few things for the DVD release, which you will probably get over quickly anyhow.
