Point one: Idiot does not mean not smart.

Point 2: I know I'm renigging on what I said about posting again.

Point 3: Book smart and and smart are two different things.

I thought you weren't posting in this thread anymore?

1. Smart.

So yes idiot does mean not smart. Sometimes it means mentally retarded. Either way you were making a supposition about Michael Moore's intelligence then decided it was roughly equal to your own.

Kas... Charleton Heston is the guy who said you can pry my gun "from my cold dead hands." He's the guy who held a pro-gun rally in Littleton 10 days after the Columbine shootings. He's the guy who was President of the National Rifle Assosication.

Arguing that Charleton Heston has an aversion to guns is like arguing that the world is flat. Which, incidently, is what was taught by the CHURCH for hundreds of years.

See, Kas? The Church isn't always right.

Research before you post, son. The rally at Littleton was scheduled years before the Columbine event. Twenty Two Thousand NRA members had purchased tickets, everything was ready, and could not be canceled. Because, in order to maintain their organization status the NRA is legally required by the state of New York to hold these meetings. It was too late to reschedule (ten days to rout tens of thousands of people? Not likely). So they did the best they could, they canceled all the extra activities, and only had the single rally.

While Moore's creative editing in Bowling would have you believe that Heston is a cold hearted bastard, the truth is that Heston did care, and even gave a little speech concerning the Columbine tradgedy. However, Moore edited that out, and replaced it with the 'Cold Dead Hands' statement, which was said by heston a hear after the Columbine event, because he had been presented with an ornamental musket.

The second half of your post is an ignorant statement made by a flaming liberal wanna-be. You would do good to not state such ignorant things; because you leave yourself wide open to being dissected by anyone who would wish to cut you apart.

Michael Moore's an idiot. *shrugs* The people have the right to get it banned just as much as to make it. That's just my opinion/. Personally I refuse to see it.

He's not an idiot. He's a smart man, who lies while passing is lies off as Truth. Don't dilute yourself, Moore knows what he is doing. He's very good at what he does, see above to how Trinity swallowed Moore's creative editing hook, line and sinker.

Dolash02
Free speech is not a two-way street. People do not have as much right to have the movie banned as they have to have it made.

With your right to speak comes a responsibility to speak truthfully. Moore has trouble with the last part...

Anyway, who's planning on buying, "Michael Moore Is A Big Fat
Stupid White Man" ? Comes out June 29th! Includes cutting reviews of BFC.. :)

Michael Moore admits Disney 'ban' was a stunt

07.05.2004
By ANDREW GUMBEL in Los Angeles

Less than 24 hours after accusing the Walt Disney Company of pulling the plug on his latest documentary in a blatant attempt at political censorship, the rabble-rousing film-maker Michael Moore has admitted he knew a year ago that Disney had no intention of distributing it.

The admission, during an interview with CNN, undermined Moore's claim that Disney was trying to sabotage the US release of Fahrenheit 911 just days before its world premiere at the Cannes film festival.

Instead, it lent credence to a growing suspicion that Moore was manufacturing a controversy to help publicise the film, a full-bore attack on the Bush administration and its handling of national security since the attacks of 11 September 2001.

In an indignant letter to his supporters, Moore said he had learnt only on Monday that Disney had put the kibosh on distributing the film, which has been financed by the semi-independent Disney subsidiary Miramax.

But in the CNN interview he said: "Almost a year ago, after we'd started making the film, the chairman of Disney, Michael Eisner, told my agent he was upset Miramax had made the film and he will not distribute it."

Nobody in Hollywood doubts Fahrenheit 911 will find a US distributor. His last documentary, Bowling for Columbine, made for US$3m pulled in US$22m at the US box office.

But Moore's publicity stunt, if that is what is, appears to be working.

A front-page news piece in The New York Times was followed yesterday by an editorial denouncing Disney for censorship and denial of Moore's right to free expression.

Moore told CNN that Disney had "signed a contract to distribute this [film]" but got cold feet. But Disney executives insists there was never any contract. And a source close to Miramax said that the only deal there was for financing, not for distribution.

Kamon, why do you contradict yourself by saying you are not posting on the thread anymore, and yet post again, only to get ripped apart by Gash once more? That doesn't sound intelligent to me.

Which in turn, proves Gash right about you.

And I thought you said you quit TRF for good. Why do you return? To get bashed?

All I can say is you asked for it.

Shush you. By the way, Gash and Kas, the definition of idiot in the New Websters Dictionary is: an extremely incompetent or foolish person. That's what I was going by.

He might be foolish, but not incompetent. Just look at how much money he's made, yet he still manages to look like the guy next door.
