I own a '90 240SX. Fun little car. Going to sell it though. I've got plans for a nice build-up, but this car isn't worht dropping 6 grand into. If I'm going to put that kind of money into a car it should come with power locks and windows.
I Purchased A Yaris
Really. Wave of the future man. The roads up here; littered with the new breed of ecoFriendly, ecoCute, ecoDorky cars. Wave of the future man. Wave of the future.
At some point economics have to figure in to it, right? I mean, in an economny so dependant on transit you kind'a have to figure it would, right? The fact (though most of the world is loathe to admit); it makes sense.
My kids, kids don't need a warmer planet then me.
You mean you think Canada shouldn't get as warm as Florida? ;)
And fewer hurricanes too. And floods. And republicans.
I'm probably going to end up spending 6 grand on mine, but my other car has leather, power locks and windows. I really have found that they're kinda nice but if they disappeared tomorrow and were replaced by the hand driven alternatives I wouldn't mind. I'm weird like that though.
On a track car, I would have thought you'd have pulled such nicities as power locks. ;) Are you running A/C, too?
That's not my track car, that's my daily. My track car is manual everything, and no aircon delete yet. It fogs pretty badly without the defroster, so I'm probably going to keep it in.
Problems are cropping up with my Lumina, so the plan has changed to keeping the Nissan and selling the Lumina. The Nissan only needs front blinker lights, plug wires and front tires. The lumina... new shocks all around, replaced lifter, perhaps a valve seal, and a few other things.
Plus the Nissan is more fun in the summer. A lot more fun. My fiancee enjoys driving it more than I, I think. It's a blast to show her how to do donuts. :)

I think my Benz would flip if I did a donut in it.
Titus, if you're burning through front tires faster than rears on a RWD car, I recommend you get your alignment checked. That just doesn't make sense - especially if you're teaching the Missus how to do donuts in it!
Also: it is recommended that, when replacing only two tires, you put the new ones on the rear, as the rear end is more likely to slide out and you want the best possible traction back there. :)
