Nice car that Protege. Decided to go manual after all?

Indeed... turns out I was just assuming my girlfriend didn't know how to drive a stick! Apparently she does after all.

I really like the MSP and I'm trying to contact the seller. I hope it's not already gone, I'd be bummed, because the car looks perfect for me.

If you can't get the MSP the P5 is still a damn nice car.

Well I never heard back from the guy with the Mazdaspeed Protege. Pretty bummed out.

Now that I know a manual transmission is still an option, though... I've been looking at more cars along the lines of the MSP.

What do you think about this 2002 Nissan SE-R Spec V for just under 9? Are these cars any good?

Sentra... pieces of shit. Find yourself on of THESE, or even one of THESE. Sweet machines. :)

If you want your car stolen buy one those. And the Sentra is not a piece of shit, they just aren't as refined as a Civic/RSX.

Yes, let's all stop buying nice things. They might get stolen! Put an alarm in it, get theft insurance. The MS Protege is just as likely to be stolen as an Si. Probably moreso, given there are less of them and the engine is rarer. The Si motor is the same one as in the RSX, and I'm sure there are loads of RSX mills available for sale from the wreckers...

Sentras are junk. Unreliable, shitty to drive, and simply not worth your money.

Don't buy a $10k WRX - at that price, I shudder to think of how badly its been beaten on.

Living on a Navy base I'm not too worried about theft, though how that affects insurance rates is an issue.

The MSP is still my #1 choice. I'll have to keep my eyes peeled and fingers crossed that a decent one shows up in the next few weeks for a good price in either GA or Indy. My odds probably aren't that great, so I'll have to keep considering alternatives.

You 2 are a big help in this process. Thanks a million.

And sorry to Beff for jacking his thread. Really though... a Yaris?
