The Crusade begins!

If I can, I'd like to say that this particular OOC thread is going nowhere. Closing it would send the wrong message, certainly, but it might be time to pack it in in terms of arguing. There's rather a lot of bad blood at this point that can't be reasoned out, and any further discussion will be badly tainted.

Leia, if you want to make a case that something specific we're doing is wrong and should be disallowed, that would probably work best as a separate thread. If some fundamental concept behind the Crusade is leading to problems in this thread, it'd be best discussed in its' own thread instead of being brought up in every one of our battles where it becomes a problem.

I really do mean to speak with a conciliatory tone with this. I don't like the arguing that's taking place more than anyone else, and would agree that this is not productive. We're getting angry at each other and frankly it's better to just bury the past and move forwards. I don't expect Xa'Fel will take any more than another round or two to finish, and then the specific details of what happens can be worked out afterwards. Once it's done, it'll be done, okay?

Leia Organa Solo
why did Simon Kaine retire again? Refresh my memory, whose whining was that?

Mine.

And I had no stake in the thread where I did it. Credit where credit's due.

Fine, move forwards. Nobody is stopping you.

Prove me wrong. Take your Crusade and make it the great storyline group it should be destined to become.

I find myself constantly disapointed by the conduct of the Crusade representatives in this thread. Neither Dolash nor Beff has even tried to respond to the issue raised, and in fact have been little more than derogatory towards those who disagree with them.

I'd say this is about the right time to say put up or shut up.
Play the game or go home. If it's not fun, tough. That's your choice, not mine.
Which is entirely contrary to the spirit of TRF. And while you can hide behind your insults, Beff, the simple fact is that you are acting no better than anyone else. So while it may be ironic that it's me bringing these issues up, that doesn't change the fact that you're being an ass.

But you expect people to go with it, because you're the "good guys".

Because your attacking TNO.

Because you're the Coalition is a new suit.

But as Leia demonstrates, people are not willing to let you do whatever you please and violate the spirit of TRF. I find it quite poignant that it's Leia, who should side with the Crusade on principle as common enemies of the Empire... but she doesn't.

Dolash, you say "frankly it's better to just bury the past and move forwards." But how do you expect to move this - or any - story forwards when you refuse to cooperate with your fellow roleplayers? Your advice has been to force the story forwards at the expense of your relationship with the rest of TRF. If you continue in that manner, you'll soon find you've run out of people to roleplay with.

TRF is ultimately a cooperative environment. Don't forget that.

I am exiting from this thread, as it has become horribly insulting and wretched. I am quite sick of such squabbling. I had assumed we moved that when Viscera resigned.

I can only speak for the portion of the Empire I command, I look forward of the battles in the Occupation Zone. IT WILL BE WRITING FOR FUN'S SAKE, WRITING FOR WRITING'S SAKE. WE WILL COOPERATE AND COMMUNICATE, OCC, FOR AN ENDING AND MEANS THAT ARE PLEASING TO THE READER AND FUN FOR THE WRITERS TO WRITE.

Is that not the point here.

Demos, I cannot begin to fathom the staggering irony of your post. That is a statement I mean exactly as written - I come out saying that this bickering is getting us nowhere and we should try to get along, and your instant reaction is to express 'disappointment' at my bad attitude. Then you go immediately back into further mindless spiteful arguing that has nothing to do with the thread at hand. You think we're a "Coalition in a new suit"? You thing we're "Violating the spirit of TRF"? These aren't accusations or charges that can be addressed in a thread meant for working out the issues relating to one thread, they're rhetorical slaps in the face that serve no purpose but to insult.

I will not say I am disappointed, because that would imply surprise. Demos, if you believe so strongly in this then make a separate thread, directly dealing with the issue of... well whatever exact issue you have with us. As you're not actually involved in this thread, and there are no specific issues in this thread that you seem keen to discuss (such as wether or not these troops are here or there, or wether this attack or that is possible) I don't think you're helping at all.

Again, I reiterate. The past is past, let's focus on the situation at hand and get this done before we rip each other's throats out. There is absolutely no need for this ill-will whatsoever.

Drayon, quit being a cock bag. A bag of cocks.

I already admitted to being an asshole. A prick. And a douche-bag. Do you want it notarized and in triplicate?

I'm going to ask you to shut the fuck up in the most amicable way I can because...

1.) You're not involved.

2.) You're only exacerbating the situation.

3.) I am involved.

4.) I am trying not to exacerbate the situation and being baited by you doesn't help.

And while I'm at it, I'm going to ask myself to shut the fuck up as well.

WE WILL COOPERATE AND COMMUNICATE, OCC, FOR AN ENDING AND MEANS THAT ARE PLEASING TO THE READER AND FUN FOR THE WRITERS TO WRITE.

If that is how the Crusade truly will operate from now on, then there will be no further arguments from me.

That did not happen with Xa Fel, and I will refrain from going through all of that again. Until I see that the Crusade is willing to both give and take as they properly should - especially since TNO is extending that courtesy to them - I will remain a stout skeptic, based on what has happened here.

However, I do feel that the Occupation Zone is an entirely different situation... as far as I know, there are no well established groups whose sanctity directly depends on the well being of the OZ. If the Crusade takes the Occupation Zone... ultimately, so what? Didn't you just get that territory from the GC anyways or something?

IMHO, the OZ is more like what the Crusade should have been invading with it's hordes of NPCs in the first place...

And... Demos is not the only one whose posts contain staggering irony. It's almost as if you've traded places... once again, weird.

Fuck you, stop being such an insensitive asshole.

That's the unedited version.
