You would have to R&D it. Probably as a general R&D.

Yeah cause the Rebels only have 1 Ion cannon defending Hoth, so such a thing would be canon.

Um... My PDF takes 120 days to reflect the time it would take to fortify an entire planet.

Would it therefore use 120,000 meters? Because if so... eep.

Ifyou R&Ded a project with meterage then you use the meterage agreed on in the R&D. If you made a system independent of meterage, then yes, you times your build time by 100.

Mine had both.

(Opticon).

It was 300m and it was a ten day buildtime.... o_O

(think it was ten days, I'll go and check).

Yeah. No grace period, ecspecially since three groups are done a scrapping.

Bullshit. The staff fuck up with the rules, and they say "to bad, not our problem"? That is, without a doubt, the stupidest thing I've seen on TRF to date. Snowkan may have flown a fleet into an Abolisher field, and someone may have infiltrated TNO, but saying "We made a mistake, you pay" takes the cake.

If BDE and others have already solved the problem, good for them. That was their perogative to immediatly start scrapping, instead of waiting for a resolution that may have included a grace period to solve the problem in another way.

No one told them to go scrap ships, they did it. This isn't my problem, and I'm sure they would be welcome to readd ships and assets to their manifest if a grace period is instated.

Simply saying that, because the staff made a mistake, everyone has to scrap assets immediatly, is rediculous.

Kas, it might be possible. That does not by any means make it fair. Let me put it this way: you fucked up. Because of your mistake, everyone suffers, with no chance to take matters into their own hands and correct your mistake.

Because this is a staff mistake, there should be no punishments, period (imo). However, that doesn't make sense, so people should be given the time neccessary to fix your mistake however they see fit.

People have spent months building their fleets and defences: you're throwing all of that out the window in less than three days because of a mistake made by the staff.

Where's the justice in that?

Correction: You fucked up. It says in the rules that planetary defenses count against your meterage. There is no two ways about that.

If you see something confusing, ask. You didn't ask, you assumed. And now you're SOL.

Us smart people never even had to do any scrapping, because we read the rules.

No, Ahnk. The staff failed to make the rules clear. The fact that this rule is news to virtually every group at TRF is proof enough of that. Even groups that are led by staff members, such an Anthos and TNO, are just discovering this rule. Groups like VC, that make every effort to stay within the rules, to the extent that they post on TRF's OOC board that they've made an error, are just learning about this rule.

This is the staff's fault, for not making the rules regarding defences clear. There is no two ways about that.
