I was under the impression that we did have reinforcement rules, though people are trying to change it from:two posts
to:a long time, considering the distance

Its never been two posts and there. There may have been a ruling regarding a group of ships from a planet right next to that was under attack and a staff member said two posts. That would be the end of it.

If your reinforcements have to cross a 2 week hyperspace gap to reach there destination, consider it a for gone conclusion that you have no reinforcements. if your ships are coming from a nearby system, then you got a shot at getting them in in maybe 2-3 posts.

I was asking the staff what they thought was reasonable, since this is a game(so it is only reasonable to be able to bring in reinforcements). If you want to get realistic, going by SW standards I could have blasted each of your ships with two waves of 40 torps and destroyed them all.

Right, or your fighters would be found dead in space from traveling weeks on end alone in the depths of space without supplies....

Reinforcement rules are being formulated, and will be in the next rule update. For now simply use common sense. Everyone follows the IC timeline.

To get this back on the road, how about we say five posts(total) for my reinforcements to arrive.

and I submit your reinforcements would never arrive from said distance

I could just go and shoot myself now, if that would make it easier for people to ignore everything I say.
