I think that I may be working with Park's Sith character on this, though so far we've just done some short PMing about it.
Dathomir Witches (New Group Application)
Lesbians ? =D
Becoming a Knight isn't measured in time, rather it's measured in RPing quality and commitment. The only reason I among others was promoted is that TSO was short on people and needed trainers to train the trainees.
I know I'm new but I think this is the best way to go. Fair and reasonable to all. I do like the idea for the group.
Thanks for the cool new avatar Corise! :P
Kach and Corise are going to work together? I find that prospect amusing and a little... unbelievable.
Can you have provisional force ranks? As answered above - no. You can put in the leg work and earn your way up. Keep in mind, however; as you're building a Force Faction that until such time as your lead characters do have a noted OOCly Force Rank you should avoid any extra-planetary entanglements as these would be short lived and likely result in three very angry members and one or two very amused Sith characters/members.
Are you going to fleet? If so, I'm gonna stomp my foot and say no. You three, fleeting together, is a very bad idea. I don't think I have to explain my logic behind that statment. Do like the Force Ranks, near as I'm concerned, and spend some time in the kiddy pool before you go mucking about in the Galaxy proper, kay?
Another new group... and not a bad idea, but I have to ask myself "Why do these people need a whole new faction for what should/could be reasonably explained as a subfaction of TSO or what-have-you?" Can you honestly answer me that without resulting to "we don't wanna be a subfaction" tripe?
I do not think that the Dathomir Witches need to be a faction of their own, and if they do, I do not feel that the faction needs to start as an independant entity. Given the recent abuse of Faction Creation I'm naturally somewhat trepiditious about this given that two of the membes involved already run their own factions/subfactions. I feel like many of our members have been abusing the growth process and just leaping ahead with their super-uber factions, which is BS.
I know that the three members involved have more potential to make this thing a sucess then should be required to see it fly, but also taking into account your histories, recent faction abuses, and the general misconception about faction creation that I am a little nervous about the prospect.
I do not know that you can assuage my concerns either.

If we do fleet, it will not be independent. It would be as advisors, etc, in either TNO or Coalition ships, depending on which side of the group we're in. Sort of like Joruus C'baoth.
Part of the reason the Witches don't fit in any of the other groups is that it contains both the Nightsisters and the Witches. The Witches wouldn't fit under TSO, and the Nightsisters wouldn't fit under the Jedi. If you want, we could start out under the oversight of both TSO and TJO, with the option of later becoming seperate from both.
I agree with the trepedation about recent abuses; however, if you recall, Kach, Corise, and I were on the correct side of that debate. I had no idea that Kach ran his own group, so if that's a problem, OK. Corise is not going to be administering the group; he's the third member needed to get started. This is also not going to be one of those super factions. I'm going to suggest to Kach and Corise that we start small, like you said, staying only on Dathomir for a while. After that we may start expanding - but that won't be for a long time. The Witches won't let the Nightsisters get off-planet - that can be the first big conflict.
Anyway, like I said, I'm open to starting under the oversight of both TSO and TJO, but without official IC connection to either. That just wouldn't work (at least IC). How's that sound?
You might fit in as a subfaction with the Jedi. It reminds me of reading about the Grey Jedi. Used both Jedi and Sith powers but for the greater good and allied with the Jedi. You've put your own spin on the story so you might want to consider if you are Jedi inclined or Sith inclined. Just a suggestion.
Which I find amusing...
In any case, I agree with Wes on staying on Dathomir preferable. Leaving doesn't make a whole lot of sense until we're higher up on the Force level as well...unless we want people to massacre us.
Yep. Resolution passes!
