Exactly what you have been doing. Simply put, I see no way the GC can even try and fight the Empire. This isn't a personal thing, but the way I see it, the Empire has grown vastly more powerful than the GC. So any attempt by the GC to attack the Empire in any way would lead to war, which the GC would lose.
I think the GC's role as the "balance of power" for the Empire has ended... they can't really sustain any kind of resistance. So if you want to fight the Empire, you need something new...
I would focus the GC on securing its borders, building its foundations, etc., and being its own government. Not endorsing the Empire, but not resisting it either (i.e. the GC would mind its own business, by and large).
If you're dedicated to taking the fight to TNO, you need a group more suited to that task. i.e. a Rebellion. A group that is not a government at heart, and is thus not tied down to any one planet and cannot be so easily attacked.
The new rules give you lots of room to play with raids and more "canon" rebellion activity... with TNO in its present form, that's how I see the fight continuing. Not through large-scale battles and wars like Corellia, but through subterfuge and the like.
There's a lot of story you could explore with a new Rebellion... remove it entirely from the Rebel Alliance of canon. Don't use X-wings and Mon Cal cruisers, don't talk about Han Solo or Luke Skywalker.
Those are my thoughts...

Congrats on post 3,000 Dolash (just noticed it was dead on while I was posting *shrugs*) and I don't know what to do. Maybe if I look into things and determine ultimately what you guys might be doing wrong... But what do I know? My command experience is a Paladin Lord who's order got tooled so I guess I wouldn't know how to get the good guys to win :S

Oh Vodo, that's how you solve everything.
Remember last week? When I wanted a sandwhich? You responded by declaring war on deli-shops.

yeah.
or.
get a rebel group from TSO and revolt against the Empire. you'd catch TNO off guard. of course, RK is a loyal bitch so he'd kill any apprentice trying to do anything out of place.
but.
then.
this is a fleet issue that i know nothing about. you guys go ahead. im just freaking out at this whole starwars thing again.
dont.
mind.
me.

I`ll have to agree with Demosthenes lastest post.... I don`t really wish to fight TNO (That would lead to an ugly beating and my guy would proably create his own scumbag group to the outer rim, of course he would cature his homelanet...which TNO would soon take over :D ) Anyway I like more taking more planets under the coalition banner and creating it`s power forwads alltough it can never reach TNO`s....

Well... if you guys start writing like mad men, you might be able to catch up some day. Especially if you break Simon's and Park's fingers. :D

Wait, lets stop all stop and think about it for a minute.
GC-good and the majority of the people are aliens and everyone is free
+
TNO-bad and the majority of the people are human (and a bit free) and aliens are a minority and unfree. Not to mention they neutered their aliens or something. Would you like it if your parents made you move to some crazy island in the Atlantic where they automatically neuter you? Didn't think so.
=
Big massive disaster and civil war
But seriously, how would it work? GC stands for everything that is good and sacred in this world. TNO stands for everything that is evil, bad and just...evil. And Joren's comment about how he would revolt and take the Onyxian Province with him (plus tons of GC) yeah, he's right. And Jan would be right up there with him. And the Cren would also leave (not a major problem, but still like 5 planets and an entire alien race).
Now, if this is about you feeling tired and stuff, I can see where you're coming from, its understandable. But Joren or I would be more than willing to take over for you, at least temporarily, if you wanted a break or something. Just it might have to wait until when one of us comes back from vacation.
As for starting a whole rebellion style thing (Demo mentioned it might be a good idea) I've been thinking about something along those lines for a while. I'll tell them to you once I come back and/or once I have access to the private GC forums.
