As for the Cree'Ar invasion of Kashan...the great thing about securing Kashan is that there is only one major settlement (Solace) with a few outlying megafarms(operated by droids) and military bases, such as Camp Shipwright. Solace has mostly secured by a combination of magnetic pulse bombardment and ground sweeps involving the Droid Legions backed by the Confederate Militia and few full-time army units there. Oh, the main KDI construction complex, which is right near Solace, also got secured in one of the posts for TF Fidelitas. In the same post, a bunch of Confederate troop transports were mentioned as ferrying additional Confederate troops over to fight the Cree'Ar.

You're right. That is great.

So where we're at (from what I think), is that outlying settlements have been taken over by the Cree'Ar droid-things, and most current activity has been in securing Solace and setting up a defensive perimeter around it to prevent any more droids from simply walking into the city.

Agreed.

But they are not exactly "taking over" settlements. They appear, shoot up a bunch of stuff until brought down or until people still living flee out of the area.

They will remain in an area until all opposition is gone and then move on.

But there is one thing to consider, and that is that most Confederate worlds are actually as capitalist as the current USA is, meaning that it's not the government's job to provide people with food. People buy food for themselves, and there probably are foreign sources of certain foods that aren't really affected by what's been written about so far. Of course, an increased demand and a scarcity of food means that food prices for everyone directly around the Confederation will rise and ripple, with the Confederation Proper being the epicenter.

That does not exactly paint you in the best of spots...

So, you are saying that obesity is an epidemic in the Confederation? Shock Troopers can't fit into their metal suits anymore?

Does this mean your Food Manufacturers add junk to the food to make a quick buck and that eating healthy costs a premium (even with the famine)?

You saying there's High Fructose Corn Syrup in everything Confederation-made?

The Cree Ar wouldn't have to do anything, you're already starving yourselves for money.

I'm still finalizing what is happening with the Serendivus, and still writing up the plot behind what is going on. Sadly, I need Sl'askia in order to get this going but she's been writer blocked for so long that I have to wait until she can write again.

It's basically that the Serendivus are slowly removing their presence once again, and have begun moving deeper into the outer rim. I haven't yet decided what assets will remain, granted, I do know a few but not all. I also have to get a few RnD's up that I've had on my plate over the past year and a half.

That is good to know.

So are they likely to hide out, prepare ambushes, attack the city still then? (assuming that the settlements are basically wiped out, which is probably safe to assume...)

the bulk of human troops use Cresdyne Industries Camou Scout Armor ~Guide to the Confederation

That obesity epidemic already happened. :P

We had to change armor simply because of that, and you know, fatter suits were out of the option because of how expensive ultrachrome is. And it's heavy and my people are fat, sometimes, so they'd move about as fast as Theren posts these days, which is to say, not at all....

Does this mean your Food Manufacturers add junk to the food to make a quick buck and that eating healthy costs a premium (even with the famine)?

Yeah, there is probably some idiot who tries to do that (for realism's sake)...

Luckily for me, people will more healthy because they'll be getting more exercise: you know, the alien robots chasing them around stuff.

You saying there's High Fructose Corn Syrup in everything Confederation-made?

Only half of it. ;)

The Cree Ar wouldn't have to do anything, you're already starving yourselves for money.

Oh, you know how appetizing those credit chips are. :P

And some sort of witty slogan.

I'm thinking: "A vote for Solir supports great soup!"

Delicious, intelligent soup......

Ugh. I guess I should make an effort to put a post up, me thinks. But laziness feels so good...

In all seriousness I'm ready to post sometime, though I don't feel like there's really anything I need to do at this point. Maybe fleet a bit. I'll throw something together later today/tomorrow/next month/2011.
