Cataclysm - the galaxy-shattering conclusion

Well, we need to start thinking about it.

TNO - Coruscant/After Coruscant action

This will be decided in the next couple of posts methinks. Wes, your turn.

Kach/Kraken plot will then be enacted and answer who the top dogs of TNO are now.

For those of you who do not know: Zell will not be appearing in any public way and is presumed dead. Kach, you are free to continue without any hindering from this end. Yours or Park's or whoever's new Empire will not be challenged. Darven108 - you threw me a curve ball but it's ok. I'll deal with it in a coming post regarding your ship waiting for the Regent, etc..

Commonwealth:

Skygge - Do not sweat the arrival of Natalya Vinda. She knows the deal and how things are supposed to end. She just wanted to get some practice in getting her butt kicked so feel free.

So, it's your turn to post.

Lupercus and Fleet are wildcards and I am not sure if this will be resolved before or after Cataclysm. I may let the situation linger as a festering boil on the ass of the Commonwealth after the thread ends.

Coalition/LON: Fight against the Reavers and Ossus connection.

Look forward to seeing what develops here but please know that the Reaver threat is not expected to be defeated with the end of Cataclysm. But you can definitely make progress.

Confederation/Reavers/Famine: Ditto

With regards to the famine/Cree Ar/Jennasari (sp?) subplots, I have not added anything much to this plot as other plots have taken my time. But I am still thinking about this and waiting to see what your (Corise's) idea is with regards to the famine.

Smarts/LON/Zark/Fearsons: Very interesting sword's edge balance being played here. I was actually thinking of having Fearson's be played as if he had learned his lesson but Smart's last speech got me to thinking that perhaps Fearson's ego, once he was comfortable (and not in a TNO prison), might emerge once more?? How will Zark and Enclave react?

Cree Ar: Their bitch-slapping dominance over all was not envisioned to continue for very long after Cataclysm as their other-galactic holdings are in jeopardy with the Dominion's Arbiters all in Coursca galaxy.

Colonies: There is a plot building there but it will probably not be revealed until the end of Cataclysm.

The end of Cataclysm does not necessarily have to end with resolution of everything as these stories and plots will continue in other threads set after the events described in Cataclysm.

Not saying everything has to end in 2 weeks or something but it probably is time to think about how you would like a plot to be left when it does end.

Well, the Confederation has gone after the faminine by international trading (with the Cooperative and Vinda Corp as per their posts in Cataclysm), and by using the CMF to do massive imports from surrounding neutral planets. The Confederation also took over Regalum III (an aquaculturing planet) after Cataclysm started, whose foodstuffs will supplement the crops and foods coming in from the existing major agri worlds of Almas, Baralou, New Oceanus, and Till Chorios (that's right, we do other things than build weapons of war :P). I started to do some work with genetic manipulation to produce super-fast growing food at Almas, but it's not actually been RPed as being in the field yet.

But there is one thing to consider, and that is that most Confederate worlds are actually as capitalist as the current USA is, meaning that it's not the government's job to provide people with food. People buy food for themselves, and there probably are foreign sources of certain foods that aren't really affected by what's been written about so far. Of course, an increased demand and a scarcity of food means that food prices for everyone directly around the Confederation will rise and ripple, with the Confederation Proper being the epicenter.

I was actually waiting to see if you wanted to do anything more with the crisis (especially with Wilkar and the Confederate Fleet being involved), which is part of why this crisis hasn't evolved any further.

As for the Cree'Ar invasion of Kashan...the great thing about securing Kashan is that there is only one major settlement (Solace) with a few outlying megafarms(operated by droids) and military bases, such as Camp Shipwright. Solace has mostly secured by a combination of magnetic pulse bombardment and ground sweeps involving the Droid Legions backed by the Confederate Militia and few full-time army units there. Oh, the main KDI construction complex, which is right near Solace, also got secured in one of the posts for TF Fidelitas. In the same post, a bunch of Confederate troop transports were mentioned as ferrying additional Confederate troops over to fight the Cree'Ar.

So where we're at (from what I think), is that outlying settlements have been taken over by the Cree'Ar droid-things, and most current activity has been in securing Solace and setting up a defensive perimeter around it to prevent any more droids from simply walking into the city.

hah! on the contrary , nothing is written in stone...

...and I'm not going to make it easy for her.

Now you're talking.

Yeah. Natalya, the only reason I'd be concerned is that the specific storyline is supposed to have major implications for Skygge's character development. But I don't think I need to be worried.

As far as posts go, I'll put one up as soon as I can. It may take a bit of time, though - I just finished a bunch of major law school assignments, as I told Ahnk the other day in PM, so now I have to catch up on the little stuff. As soon as that's done, I can put a post up.

I think it should end with Jan Dondana declared as the emperor.

Sorry about that, Om. As I told Ahnk a little while ago, I took your post to mean that Zell, Ciscero and Aeacus made a dramatic escape underground before they were hit by the rubble from the High Command tower. Oops lol.

Since it sounds like you have something in mind, I'll wait before I post anything else -- school is eating up my creativity anyway...

Yes. There isn't enough people conspiring to be Emperor; we need more!

Who else wants to be Emperor!

On a serious note, Wes, if you are concerned at all as far as your needs storyline-wise, we can always chat about it on AIM.
